"Yes!" The other side of line connected and Sammy heard a deep voice of his brother Emerald. From the tone, he looked busy and was obviously somehow irritated because of being disturbed by this call. Sammy took a moment to register his thoughts. Surely, he couldn't afford to irritate him more, if he was in the middle of signing a million dollar deal with some narcissistic partners. Because that would be the start of his miserable days as Emerald would drag him to office alongwith. Already it was being quite difficult to handle the Old Wolf(his father). He couldn't even imagine what Emerald would do if he got pissed. Watching himself stacked under the pile of files with so much of accounts and statistics data, Sammy felt like puking and cleared his mind and throat, "Brother... How are you doing? Actually, mother wanted to talk to you since she hasn't heard from you in past few days. She wanted to kn...." He was cut amidst by his growl which didn't escape his mouth yet, but Sammy was his brother who knew him for sure. His tongue got tied inside his mouth and he didn't dare to say anything else. Witnessing Sammy turned mute all of a sudden, Luna raise her eyebrows from his back and took hold of the cell phone, only to hear Emerald's irritated tone,

"Sammy... I an in the middle of an important meeting in A city. If you called to pass your time, then hang up already. I don't have free time." His tone was surely filled with frustration. Certainly, the new business partners were giving him headache. Luna loved her son the most but she also didn't like him being a workaholic. Sighing heavily, she tried to sound a bit upset,

"I am your mother speaking here. And Jack told me you will be back from A city by Tuesday. It is Thursday now, and the party is held for Saturday Emmy. Are you even coming to the party held for you!! And did you invite my daughter-in-law? Don't tell me you didn't talk to her too!!" Her eyes narrowed. She knew her dear son way too perfectly. He can be totally unreasonable sometimes.

"Mother, Greetings. How are you? I will be back once I finish this meeting mother. This deal is important. And Scarlet wi..." he tried to explain, but Luna was fed up now. First Sammy had always been a pain in her a*s. Now Emmy was also doing the same. "Really Emmy!! Is this how you fulfill your responsibilities? You didn't even inform her! How would she prepare for everything. Tell me the address, I will go to her house myself. You can stay occupied in your business then." She almost stopped herself from scolding him.

"But mother, I will invite her. Don't worry. I am leaving the A city within thirty minutes. And I will buy Dress, jewellery and other things that Scarlet will need." He tried to assure her with the polite tone because the level of her rage was enough to let him know if he didn't say some soothing words, she would definitely barge in Scarlet's house will all the royal gifts scaring the little girl and her family members.

All the members of board of directors of X and M cooperation were present there. Alongside Emerald, Jack was standing with a poker face since the meeting had started because till now Emerald didn't like any of the designs and proposals put forward by the company staffs. Everybody was tensed. He had been loosing his patience and just when he roared at one of them, Sammy's name flashed on his mobile screen. First her let it slide, but when the buzzing didn't stop, he answered in irritation asuming that little brat must have been calling him to piss him off more. But to his surprise, his mother was there and the party totally skipped off his mind.

Listening the Luna scold him over the phone, Jack was having a hard time controlling his laughter and was giggling occasionally. This didn't go unnoticed by Emerald and he glared at Jack instantly making him gulp his saliva and laughter both and throwing that in the deeper pits of his stomach.

"Come Back today along with delivering all the things to Scarlet on your own. Don't send Jack." Luna suggested to Emerald after he told what he had planned to do. "But mother.."

"Its an order." She used her Luna tone and Emerald felt a chill ran down his spine. It had onmy been two times in his whole life that his mother had used her Luna tone with him. One was when tried to protect Sammy back to years when that brat had beaten some child black and blue because of a girl. And the second time was today. He flared his nose and nodded his head. Luna could feel him doing so and a small smile got plastered over her lips.

"She isn't your daughter-in-law yet. I guess you will throw me out after she becomes one." He muttered under his breath. This was heard by Sammy and Luna both. The Luna didn't know how to react but the brat laughed out loud saying, "Brother, you are still on the line." And continued laughing out, only to earn a little slap over his back from his mother indicating him to stop teasing her dear son.

The call got disconnected immediately and Emerald composed himself switching on to his beasty CEO mode again.

~EVANGELICA'S HOUSE-

Since the last night, Evan had been chirping, jumping and was way too excited. She was overflowing with happiness. She couldn't even sleep properly, and disturbed Scarlet's sleep too calling her in the morning to pull over in her house, because she (Eva) had something really important to discuss with her(Scarlet).

Scarlet who had been quite busy lately since the day she last met Emerald because she had designs to finish before the end of this month, had already slept so late at night. She cursed Eva under her breath when the later disturbed her slumber sleep. Now both the ladies were sitting in Eva's room. Scarlet yawning, while Eva still all chirpy and Excited.

"Eva, it's for the fifth time that I am asking you. Why did you call me here so early in the morning? If it's about your shopping, then let me tell you that I am be..." Scarlet's words were made dead in the middle with Eva announcing almost with overflowing excitement. "I am going to a party In Sammer Azure's house."

"WHAT??!" This came as a shock to Scarlet. She immediately stood up because of the reflex actions and couldn't decipher what she had just heard. Since when did her friend got involved so much with Sammer Azure! And wasn't she aware of this!! Narrowing her eyes in the other moment, she crossed her both arms over her chest in a threatening way, and glared towards Eva questioning her,

"EVANGELICA MICHELANGELO aka EVA MICHELANGELO, when did this happen? Are you romantically involved with Sammer Azure? Why didn't you tell me this? And why are you informing this right now?" She shoot all the questions at once, while her glared never stopped.

Eva looked at her with doey eyes like a lost puppy trying to convince her. And the second moment, she started to butter up and massage Scarlet's arms and shoulders making her sit over the couch again saying,

"My sweet baby, I know I should have told you this. But you were very busy these past days. And ... everything happened so suddenly, that I just couldn't tell you.(in the slowest and softest baby tone). Moreover, he just invited me to his house for attending the family function because we are good friends, nothing else."

Before Eva could sweet spoil Scarlet anymore, she hauled up and tweaked her ears,

"Just friends or lovers?? Did you lick his pants, you bitchy thing??"

Scarlet knew her friend Eva. Though she was still a virgin, but she had never restrained herself from getting high with guys in the clubs and night parties. She never slept with anyone, but always dreamed off. Whenever she talked or started a conversation, it always ended up with how she would lick and such her target referring to some random boys. She thought finally Eva had her ways with Sammer Azure, and now like a good responsible man he was inviting her to the party.

Hissing in pain, Eva let Scarlet go off her ear and rubbed them gently murmuring,

"I still didn't get to taste anything. I am waiting."

"You brat! You won't change at all. Now tell me, why do you need me? Because as far as I know, this excitement of yours is still prevailing and it only means that you still want something. So, hurry up and shoot it immediately." Scarlet sat down over the edge of a king-sized bed tucked in the eastern corner of Eva's room, which was covered over with Pale sea-green colored bed sheets and matching round pillows.

Slowly coming towards her, Eva too joined her taking her bunny-boo, which is a soft bunny toy gifted to her on her last birthday from her cousin, eyes glittering with hope and blurted out,

"I don't have anything to wear. Let's go for shopping."

"Holy Cow!" Scarlet cursed under her breath knowing perfectly well that her perfectly planned schedule

was going to be murdered now.
