Anything For You -
Chapter 125
The night wasn't young anymore. Moon had started to deliver it's moonlight in the whole of WEREALM. For humans out there, it was another place just like the other cities, but a bit secluded. All of them were personally fetched by werewolves assigned by the king himself so as not to let room for any suspicions. By now, most of the guests had left for their respective houses, except for Eva alongwith Mr. And Mrs. Lozenge and Willy.
All of them were pacing restlessly. Scarlet hadn't been awake yet. Eva wanted the answers to everything, so did Scarlet's family. But the werewolves couldn't afford this identity revelation without any proper security and the assurance that their truth would never be deveiled by any of them.
"Mr. And Mrs. Lozenge, I am sorry for all this. Since your daughter fainted here, she is our responsibility now. You can entrust her to us, to Emerald. He will take care of her. As soon as she wakes up, we will inform you. Till then, you should go back. It's really no use of stressing over it." The king tried to calm the couple, but Mrs. Lozenge was quite reluctant.
Unlike her, Mr. Lozenge had notice something odd here. He agreed after a moment of thinking. While Mrs. Lozenge was surprised. She couldn't decipher as to why her husband agreed so fastly to leave their precious daughter here! Even if, she was in relationship with Mr. Emerald Azure, still they weren't aware of these people and their life styles. What if something really bad happened to her child!!
Guessing her insecurities, Sammy proposed to let Eva stay besides Scarlet. This way the couple would be at ease and he would also get a chance to explain her the things. It was high time for him to confront her and reveal the truth. But before that, he really needed to know her feelings. Because if she was just attracted or infatuated with him, it was no use of spilling the beans.
Listening to his proposal, Mrs. Lozenge agreed half-heartedly, but only on the condition that Eva would report her about Scarlet every now and then. In return Eva made them promise to handle the situation at her own house. Soon, the couple left along with their son. The eased up scenario was again back to tensed with Emerald occasionally sparing daggering glances to Sammy and sophisticated ones to Scarlet.
Exiting the room with long strides, he stepped into the garden where platters were arranged for the guests and elites. It was a lively place some time ago, but all it had been left with was, just some left over food chunks and splattered cans, bottles and some other garbage cans which were getting filled by the maids who were cleaning everything. Looking at the Alpha approaching, they hurried up and cleaned the left over mess only to drag the garbage bags and cans along, retreating back to their other destined tasks leaving him alone.
His gazes crept over the huge garden, some flowers still blooming, leaves still as green as they appeared in the day, but with a tinge of dark red and black colors, and some crisp dead twigs and leaves which made cracking sounds as he stepped over them. He blinked twice landing his eyes over the huge crystal white moon, which was crescent today. All the happiness he had back then, holding that beautiful Barbie doll in his arms had been replaced by the frowns amd lines of worries. He wasn't alone here. Someone had been watching him from afar, staying there silently.
"Its late, My lady. You should have some rest." Carol's soft voice landed in the Grand Empress' ears making her turn towards her side, averting her eyes from her dear grandson who was hell worried for his mate's safety.
"I didn't want that to happen, Carol." She replied plainly, worries still not leaving her eyes. A faint tinge of guilt could be spotted in there.
"Everybody know this. It was not your fault. May be it was bound to happen." Said Carol, trying to calm the lady down and slowly assisted her towards the inside helping her to her room.
"I would like to have some rest, Carol. Don't disturb me if it's not an emergency." She ordered Carol, not in an ordering tone. Carol nodded giving her some space to move in and closed off the door slightly.
The lady immediately sat over the ground, summoning her powers holding her necklace tightly with eyes closed. Fear crept over her mind.
"Don't worry. She is fine." A faint voice echoed into her ears... she shot opened her eyes. Her mind was at ease spotting her late husband. Before she could utter any words, he hushed her with one of the fingers over her dried lips, whispering... "You shouldn't have given her RAGNARA."
The lady's eased up mind started to crumble again under the weight of his words. She felt as if he was blaming her. Her already staring eyes lowered a bit before getting closed lightly. The man ahead understood her state of mind. He explained her,
"Its their past lives, Empress. You were the one chosen for this. RAGNARA is one of her old-self, one of the most powerful self after her first life as Fairy Trinity. She was the Princess Of Purple Stone. We don't know much about Scarlet, but we could have had about RAGNARA. You handing it over to Scarlet had wiped that life along with the two preceding it from The Heavenly Book."
He was not finished when a sudden gasp left her mouth. She puffed in lungful of air hearing him out. If what he said was truth, then she had made a huge mistake. But that stone glowed. He sensed her emotions and thoughts from her complex facial emotions continuing ahead,
"Yes, she is the owner of that stone. It was given to our ancestors for safeguarding till it's rightful owner's arrival. But that one is none other that Scarlet. She... she isn't ready yet. She is fighting with her powers." His last words were a mere whisper. The lady hauled up from her spot, crossed the huge window and appeared behind the man who stood with his back facing her, not letting her judge him by his expressions, asking,
"Not ready for what? Why don't you tell me, everything?? What is going to happen? Emperor, what is it!! And how do you know about RAGNARA? You did t read the book Then...!" her questions were the least of his concern right mow. He not only wanted to safeguard his grandson and Scarlet, bit also his wife. Indulging into everything would only let her prone to the dangers lurking around.
Composing himself, he hardened a bit more and ordered,
"You will return Tomorrow. With the first ray of sun, I want you back to the mountains, Empress. You have to hurry up. Three lives are already wiped out from the book. I don't want the remaining one to face the same. You will go back and resume reading the book. After we get to know about it, only then can we safeguard everyone."
"What about those three lives that you just mentioned? And what about that little girl? She is lying unconscious, sleeping like she will never get up again!" Grand Empress questioned further. She hated the fact that her late husband didn't tell her everything she wanted to know. All she could was push him over to at least answer these questions. He was reluctant to do even that.
"Its her battle. She have to fight. Emerald is here. It's high time for both of them to get back the past memories. The old enemies are making moves. You .. you have to hurry up. It's getting late. Have some rest. And just be there tomorrow. We have to finish what we had started." He disappeared saying that. The old lady was left bemused, not understanding the whole scenario. All she knew was, she had to go back Tomorrow, and do what she had to. -DESTINY LAND~
"Sister, what is happening? Are you somehow involved in all this?" Choice asked Destiny totally tiring up from the events down in WEREALM. "No." Destiny's one word reply was assuring, but Choice was snorting.
"That witch is also not dead. Valor is also wandering. Now this RAGNARA powers..!! Uff.." Choice glared her nose, as if all these were happening with her. Destiny patted her head lovingly. "Why are you getting affected so much? They are mortals. We are fairies." She tried to sound realistic to her young sibling. "What does this mean? I don't get it sister. I feel, somehow you are involved in this." Choice eyed Destiny a little, trying to get her agree to what she said.
"I told you that this time it's all about their own choices. You yourself witnessed this. Then how can you blame me..?" Destiny questioned Choice raising one of eyebrows.
"Yes, I know that. But that doesn't mean, you wouldn't interfere in other's fates..!" Choice replied back, in a questioning and surprised tone. She knew how things worked in fairyland and since Destiny was the goddess of Fate, she had her duties as well.
"Well, I am not at fault for what's happening with Scarlet and Emerald this time. Evanora and Valor have their own fates, I can't prepone anything. But, RAGNARA powers are really strong. I hope Scarlet to come out of that dream world sooner." Destiny expressed her thoughts with a long sigh.
