Anything For You
Chapter 146

It's been one entire day since Calista had talked to her father, and consented to fix a meeting with Leevon. She wasn't able to reach him. She sent a messenger, but he came back empty-handed saying that he didn't get to see or talk to Mr. Leevon. For her, the only way to get the things done was now, personally touring Leevon, but it wasn't possible since the King was not in good mood. She didn't want to piss him anymore.

She schemed to sneak out at night, hoping to not get caught. Involving someone in the plan would work great, so she told about the arrangement to Veronica. And warned her to keep her mouth shut. Calista knew that Veronica and Herbew had been secretly kissing each other. But she thought of teasing the girl later. She had abundant other things to attend to right now.

On the swift side, Leevon had been badly engaged with the preparations. It had been hard for him, to submit to the truth and act accordingly. But soon, he gave in. The confrontation was critical and he was left with just today. Or else, Calista would suffer for another life.

He was in the basement of his house and was shutting himself there. The messenger sent by Calista couldn't reach him because of this. Instead, his father attended to the latter. He was worried for his son; for he had never seen him that much brisk. Locking himself in the basement was one hell of a thing; even his father wasn't confident about either. Mr. Lexington tried conversation with Leevon, but he didn't mind and said that he was occupied, and didn't wish to be disturbed for a while. He had accumulated every item needed. Taking the block of pure Silver given by the monk, he kept it inside a little kiln of mud. Igniting the fire, he stared at the melting silver, feeling as if his soul was crumbling in the guilt of that crime he was going to commit. Soon, the whole of that solid silver block turned into hot flowing liquid blazing like the lake in Carica forest, under the moonlight. It emitted hot silver vapors, which rose to the roof of that basement, slowly condemning back to the liquid form. Leevon removed his shirt exposing his well-toned and chiseled muscles. He knew what he had to do next. Looking out of the little peephole, his eyes landed over the shiny moon in the night sky. It wasn't the same moon to him. The moon in the Carica forest appeared to be his pal, but this moon seemed to mock him.

The size of this celestial body ascertained that it was undergoing through phases, as it wasn't as round as it was three days ago. Still, the light was enough for anyone to spot the odds. He came back and waited for a few moments for the right set of seconds to approach.

Taking the dagger out of that draped cloth, he looked again at its sharp edges. Clasping it tightly using one of his hands, he dipped the weapon into that hot liquid silver. There came out a sound of cracking something; a sound similar to the one when two different metals in different forms are mixed.

The liquid silver filled its edges and coated the entire sheath. The earlier pale shiny gray color of the blade was now replaced with silver, and the edges sharpened a bit more. The stains of blood weren't also visible by now.

Recovering it out of the vessel he used to melt silver, Leevon put it down carefully over the same cloth for a couple of minutes. He was although prepared to end everything, get he had his difficulties. After a certain interval of time, he again clutched the dagger and pointed the sharp blade towards his heart moving closer to himself slowly.

Just when the weapon was less than an inch away from his heart, he felt the hotness of silver near his skin. His heartbeat fastened and blood pressure heightened. Without having any second thoughts, he pierced the dagger into his heart's extreme left so as not to hurt himself extensively.

Just when the sharp tip of that weapon kissed his organ, he let out a loud howl; a painful scream, and again saw himself getting killed by Calista in his earlier life. All the second thoughts, doubts and insecurities, he had been harboring, flew away from the peephole, leaving him determined to carry out the mission.

The dagger was almost one inch inside his heart, and he was still holding it tightly. Now was the time to pluck it out. After a split second, another loud howl was heard from his side, ensuring he had successfully coated the weapon with his human blood. The dagger started to emit red dazzling light, which was making him unable to see it properly. Soon, the light vanished and the same dagger happened to be in his hands, as it was before dipping in hot silver and smearing in the blood. It looked like the weapon sucked whole of the silver and blood into it. No traces of blood were there.

Leevon felt its strength and power. His task was half-done. He cleaned the wound with some antiseptic and covered it with a fresh cloth. Putting on his clothes back, he heard another knock from outside. It could be his father once again. "Coming." He assured the person outside. Quickly cleaning everything off the room, he hid some of the remaining silver into a corner and safeguarded the dagger into the back of his pants under the shirt. "Yes!" He asked the male servant who looked scared.

"Mr. Lexington said that there is someone to see you. He called you outside, young master." The servant flew away in the speed of the wind, not minding to take the message from Leevon's side.

Leevon stepped outside and locked the basement. Coming into the hallway, he saw a man dressed in royal clothes. It was certain that he was a vampire, and was sent by Calista. His clothes were screaming his title in the Roxflood Kingdom. Leevon shifted his eyes here and there to find his father, but Mr. Lexington wasn't there. Probably, the latter gave him some space. His eyes darted back to the guard-cum-messenger expecting for him to convey the message; he supposed Calista sent for him. "Princess Calista sent a message for you, Young Master. She said that she desires to meet you today, and also added that she would wait for you at the meeting point." The messenger summarized those information pieces, he was made to learn and transmit. Leevon had already guessed it. He knew that Calista was trying to find him since it had already been four days that they last met. He nodded and occupied a spot over the nearby couch. The messenger was still standing. Leevon looked at him and raised his one brow in a questioning manner.

"Princess asked me to get a reply." The man said.

"Tell her that I will meet her at the same meeting point today, after some minutes," Leevon replied; giving another piece of information to the man. The latter bowed lightly and excused himself.

There was a sudden uproar in Leevon's mind and his heart was hurting badly. The girl, he wished to always protect, he always loved and yearned to marry; he was going to kill her today, mercilessly. He was indeed a bad lover. He didn't fulfill his promises. All these things clouded his judgment once again, and he hoped to die before committing this grave sin.

But as it is said, "Fate is a cruel thing." He had to bow down. He had to reap what he had sown. It was time. He hoped for Calista to be born once again, and live a life free of that Blood pact, and himself.

On the other side, the same messenger was spotted by King Faust, while the latter was attempting to enter Calista's room. Before attending to Calista, he used to be a loyal messenger of the King. But Calista had started making business appearances, so, Faust handed her responsibility to this man.

The man's moves were dubious. He was walking sneakily. Faust got alert and approached him at his Vampire speed. The man halted in his steps and got glued to his spot. He knew who was the one crossing his way. How could he not recognize his master! "What are you doing here at this hour?" King questioned the man in his authoritative tone, frightening the latter. But the man composed himself fast, and replied,

"I was here to deliver a message."

"For Calista?" The king continued. The messenger nodded his head, not wanting to reveal what was the information. But deep down, he was mindful of the fact that he had to spill the beans, or else his life wouldn't be economized on.

"Shoot." The king ordered him. The latter looked at the king; radiating a dangerous aura and reported all the knowledge out of his belly. Faust was angered to extreme. He immediately moved towards Calista's room, dismissing the messenger, striving that he wouldn't let the message buzz her ears.

Stepping inside, he searched for his dear daughter; only to find emptiness in the room- a confirmation of the fact that she had already left the Castle, and all he could do now was either search her everywhere wishing her well-being, or just sit idle, doing nothing but worrying for her fate.
