Anything For You
Chapter 151

"Goodbye, My lover by James Blunt**

Relatable quote-"I am ready to kiss death if it's gifted by you."

Calista kept on starting at Leevon; the man she loved dearly, the man she went against her father for, the man she yearned to marry, the man who just bedded her, the man for whom she gave away every fear and became vulnerable, the man who just promised to love her for eternity, but was now standing ahead of her, with a sharp dagger kissing the walls of her heart, smeared with royal blood; the latter was oozing out and staining her jewels studded gown slowly.

She didn't feel the pain that dagger caused her or was still causing her; she was pained because Leevon stabbed her. His hands were glued to the wooden handle of that dagger, keeping it in place afraid of Calista plucking it out, while her hands still rested over his shoulders in that half-hug they shared before he deceived her.

Under that dark sky, dimly lit by moonlight, the gloomy weather earlier was an ominous indication of their love. She failed to notice it; his perplexing emotions, his difficulties. She thought he was distant because she was a vampire, yet he was planning to kill her. Her quivering lips weren't able to formulate any sensible sentences to ask him. She kept on staring through his brown orbs, looking for the reasons; lest she found any. Her right hand moved towards his shoulder and only one word left her lips as a whisper, "Why...?" Leevon had his face turned ashen. He feared this the extensively; to see that expression Calista carried right now. He wasn't able to look into her eyes. His hand that was holding the dagger in place was shaking horribly. His legs were giving away, and he was no better than a pathetic little human.

Tears had already formed in his brown eyes. He had been courageous sufficiently, but her one questioning gasp took all his strength and pushed him into the deepest pit of guilt and hatred for himself. The teardrops grew bigger; larger enough for his eyes to be equidistant with them.

No words, just teardrops glistening like pearls started to roll down his cheeks. Calista had never seen him like that. She knew he was filled with remorse, but she wanted to know why he did that. And given the condition she was in, he had to hurry. He found her cheeks with the other hand and stroked his fingertips gently. She closed her eyes for a little fraction. Only if she could cry...! But what a pity-vampires don't cry. His gestures and warmth confirmed he didn't want to commit this sin, but he eventually did.

Her eyes turned red, and she stared at him, demanding answers. He peered at her figure that had started to wobble by now; the is to the effect of his sharp stab, and said,

"I had to do it. For you."

As the words spilled into her ears, she lost her composure. Vulnerability took over her, and she fell over the ground like shattered pieces of broken crockery. Leevon held her securely in his arms, resting her head in his lap. His tears never stopped rolling down, and now landing over her face every time.

The hand he used to keep the dagger in place tightened around its wooden handle and he plucked it out in one go, sparing the shuddering woman more pain and agony. Her loud cry echoed in that wilderness, and a gush of blood spilled out of her heart. The dagger had been reddened with her vampire blood. Soon, it started to glitter and the drops of blood stopped dripping out of it. The sharp blade of that weapon soon retracted back into its wooden handle, and it took no time for it to suddenly disappear. Leevon's hands were left empty, painted red with Calista's blood. The girl was having difficulty breathing. Slow wheezing started, and she was drifting into sleep; an endless- death sleep.

"Search every house, every street, every place. I want my daughter back within one hour." The king ordered his men frustratingly. It had been more than five hours since Calista had left the Castle sneakily, and yet they didn't succeed to find her. "Father, she will be fine. Don't worry too much." Hebrew patted his father's shoulder. He was consoling and providing strength to his father, while he was having all sorts of weird thoughts. He hoped for his dear sister's safety.

The news of princess Calista missing from the Castle had spread like jungle fire and landed into the ears of Jasmine Roxflood- Calista's mother. She was a strong lady, a queen. But coming to Calista, she was just a mother who wished her daughter's safety. Veronica was accompanying her, trying to console her. Her mind was wandering over all the possible places Calista could have gone, and suddenly she remembered.

Excusing herself, she headed straight towards Herbew's room to seek an audience. Hebrew had been changing his clothes. It had been a feverish time, and there wasn't even a single trace of his dear sister. He somehow knew that she was with Leevon, but where exactly, he couldn't decipher.

Veronica's footsteps were hurried and her heels made loud sounds while clinking over the floor. Her gait was no longer a noble lady-like, but she didn't give it a damn. Calista and her safety was her priority now.

She sucked in a deep breath and tried to enter Herbew's room, but the guards immediately stopped her midway.

"My lady, you can't go inside. Lord had ordered not to be disturbed for a while." One of the guards suggested she stay back bowing his head in respect. Everyone in the Castle was aware that Veronica wasn't just a noblewoman, but a daughter of Minister Wades, and the best friend of the princess. Recently, there had been rumors that she was adored by prince Herbew. She was getting used to these longbows these days.

"But I need to speak to him. It's very urgent." Veronica's tone held quickness. She couldn't afford to wait for a long time. Calista could get harmed if not found as early as possible.

But the guards seemed to be reluctant. Having left with no other options, she just pushed the guards and barged in, and then tightly securing the door from inside. Hebrew, who was changing his clothes heard the loud thud in his room. Sensing any dangers, he let go of the clothes and grabbed his sword.

He was just about to attack the girl, when she just called him. Having him standing in front of her with not even a shred of clothes on his upper body, she felt herself getting away with the flow. This man always did unimaginable things to her.

She kept starting at him, her sharp eyes glued at his toned muscles and her throat moved- aftereffects of gulping her saliva. She felt dryness taking over her throat and felt thirsty abruptly.

"Veronica! What are doing here at this hour? You must be with mother. Why did you barge in like a...?" Herbew looked at Veronica who was simply standing glued and her stare was still enjoying his muscles.

Herbew stopped in his talk and followed her line of sight. He chuckled a bit with a snickering expression. Coming closer to her petite figure, not giving any hint of changing posture, he whispered leaning closer to her ears,

"What, do you wish for another kiss? I am afraid that the moment is not favorable, love." He blew hot breath into her ears and she at once flinched in her position.

The man was truly towering over her, making her feel little and vulnerable. While doing so, his bare body was as closer to Veronica as; a little movement from her side, and her lips would end up brushing over his cold, sexy flesh. She felt reddened and flustered hearing the man call her love.

Plucking her eyes away from those toned abs, Veronica stared deep into Herbew's eyes and felt excitement dwelling in her body. A wave of heat surged through her whole body when his thin alluring lips caught her attention, and her fingers clothed the hem of her gown.

Herbew was an attentive man. He noticed the girl's actions and pecked softly at her already pink cheeks.

"Well, lets say that I am utterly pleased with your tainted cheeks. This is your reward." He muttered into her ear leaning into the crook of her neck.

The girl seemed to have forgotten her real purpose of visiting him, and the man too didn't pay much attention. He kept on stooping down to her neck, and added,

"I think I won't be taking the things too far, considering the fact that my sister is still missing."

Just as Herbew said the last sentence, Veronica realized her purpose of barging inside his room. She mind-slapped herself and pushed the man a little away from herself. Her little hands grabbed his toned muscles of abdomen, and she brushed her fingertips unwillingly; at least for now.

"I came here to tell you something, Your Highness." Veronica's addressing tone made Herbew suspicious instantly, and he composed himself. The girl looked at him, a but afraid, not sure of his reaction after she would reveal the truth, she knew.
