Anything For You -
Chapter 192
"Are you certain it's a good idea? I mean we should consider having some soldiers with us, in case he tries to do anything to you, I will just...." Emerald was saying and recommending Scarlet to be watchful when she just sealed his lips and he felt awestruck. The way her lips brushed with his made him feel the want, the desire she had for him. She missed him the same he did. Emerald smiled in between that soft long kiss. It was a kiss of assurance. Scarlet assured him that nothing would go wrong as long they were together. Breaking off, she looked at him right through his eyes as of trying to read his soul and he just smiled caressing her cheeks with his thumb. "You won't let him do anything to me. I trust you, Emmy. Moreover, just like father said, we are going to just talk. He won't be doing anything stupid provided he know who I am and who are you." Scarlet smiled and Emerald just responded stepping onto the gas and booming into the Siesta Valley followed by Jack in another car.
The valley was a beautiful place. Everywhere, the treetops, the herbs, shrubs, grasses, houses, everything covered with snow looked so white and majestic. Had it not been for the enemy, Scarlet would have loved to settle in this place for a good amount of time. This didn't skip Emerald's eyes when he saw Scarlet's smile.
"We will visit here for our honeymoon." He said plainly and she looked at him as if he couldn't joke any better. But then she realized that Emerald was serious. She wanted to cross-question him but shrugged her shoulders. They weren't going to be here any sooner, so it was a sensitive matter for the time being.
The cars stopped when some soldiers stepped in their way and Emerald cursed. Jack stepped out and approached the guards who were heavily guarding the castle door. Dankein was standing in his room and gazing through the window. His lips widened in a satisfactory smile watching his dream girl in his territory. Trevor felt anxious. Jack said something to those guards and they nodded affirmatively. Scarlet assured Emerald and all of them entered the huge castle only to get settled on those marvelous sofas that were intricately designed and showcased Italian touch with Romanian cushions. Richness Indeed.
Alfie was tucked in one of the sofas and sneaked a look at Scarlet. The girl smiled at that animal and found it snuggling into its fir and licking its paw. Adorable creature.
"My late sister gifted Alfie to me when I was a child. She is magical too." Dankein said when he found Scarlet admiring the cat from the corner of her eyes and Emerald just scoffed. He was hurrying with every fiber of his being while Jack was extra careful and prepared for any unannounced attacks.
"Where are the Book and the Dagger that you stole from Scarlet?" Came the sharp, furious, and Alpha tone of Emerald. Dankein smiled. Nonchalant. He scratched his stubble and shrugged his shoulders.
"Why do you feel like I will tell you?" Dankein said, the smile never leaving his face and his eyes occasionally scanning Scarlet sometimes admiring her long lean legs and the highlighted clavicles. She was a beauty.
"We are here to talk. Aren't we? And...I believe that you have not the tiniest shred of idea what value does that book and the Dagger hold. Because...if you did, we wouldn't be here sitting over your Italian couch with our backs smothering over these Romanian cushions. Not to mention the white wine that Trevor is sending." Scarlet replied savagely forcing Emerald and Dankein both to admire her even more. They all heard a soft knock at the door and a man entered with a tray brandishing three wine glasses. Of course, White wine.
Emerald eyed Scarlet and she wiggled her eyebrows giving him a 'Told you' look. He smiled and sighed inwardly. This girl had way more surprising things related to her personality he had yet to figure out.
"If I didn't appreciate them, I wouldn't be having them," Dankein said sipping his wine.
"I bet you don't. Because you don't have them." Scarlet said in the same tone he used.
"We aren't here just for the Book and Dagger." Emerald interfered. "I want my grandmother back." He announced putting his wine glass over the nearby table that had been designed with an antic vase filled with lilies, lavenders, and fresh Jasmines from the garden of Siesta Valley.
"Oooh... Good. I don't need to pretend now. So, Alpha. You want everything I worked hard to get. What do I get in return?" Dankein asked, his confidence building up. He was going to use the last resort. Even though Evanora wished him to be talkative and smooth things out, but Dankein wanted war. He was ready and was hoping for Emerald to be too.
"What do you want?" Scarlet asked finishing her wine and keeping the glass in the tray the servant had been holding. Dankein dismissed the servant.
"Quite a simple thing, little rat. You know what I want. Don't you?" Dankein rested his gaze at Scarlet's face reading her wavering expressions. She remembered. He realized that she remembered everything when he saw her expressions turning soft at the mention of her sweet name.
"Impossible," Scarlet announced and hauled up from her seat. Jack retracted his weapon, a knife, and was ready to throw it at Dankein. The king hauled up too followed by Emerald and came face to face with Scarlet. Emerald was about to approach the duo when Scarlet stopped him with her eyes.
"I want you, Scarlet. It's always you. I never wished for anything. It was you back then. It is still you. Leave him and come to me. I will keep you happy. You will rule my valley. You will be the queen. And I will hand over the old Empress, the book, and that Dagger too." Dankein finished his words and softly touched Scarlet's hand trying to grab her, but she stepped back.
"I won't. And I already am a Queen, A Luna." Scarlet said.
"Your Highness, there is a message from the Witmourn Raft Kingdom." Trevor entered hurriedly as if he was rushed. Dankein spared him a tightened glance and allowed him to shoot.
"Power, Plan, Pounce," Trevor said the words. Dankein smiled a wide smile and dismisses him. Scarlet, Emerald, and Jack all kept looking at him not understanding what just happened and what the message conveyed.
"Scarlet, you have three more days to think about what I said. If you still didn't come to me willingly, then I wonder we will encounter each other on the battlefield." Dankein muttered and averted his gaze from her figure. He heard her footsteps fading in the air confirming to him that she left the room and perhaps the castle too.
"She is mine. I will kill you first, then take my grandmother, the book, and the Dagger. Then I will marry Scarlet." Emerald mocked Dankein.
"You can't be certain about that, Alpha. Maybe you won't survive to do all these." Dankein said taking slow steps towards Emerald with his hands tucked in his pocket, "but I will surely fulfill these lame wishes of yours. I will marry her." He said.
"Three days. You have just three days for your wishful thinking, King Dankein. Scarlet is mine. And if you have decided to go for a war...I won't mind it either. She chose me, and she will." Emerald said and was about to leave when he heard Dankein saying, "But if you knew the truth, you wouldn't have let her choose you, Alpha."
~WITMOURN RAFT KINGDOM~
The day was about to fade and the weapon that Evanora had been working on for many days was ready. She had already sent a message to Dankein knowing fully well that neither Emerald nor Scarlet would agree to his lame offers.
Her eyes grazed desiring at the weapon that was coming out of the bowl. An exceedingly rare weapon. The weapon was neither a sword, not a dagger. It was a combination of many. The handle of the weapon was crafted from the strongest wood found in the Witch kingdom and shaped like that of a sword handle. The edge of the weapon was sharp, thin like human hair, and shining like the sun was resting at it perfectly red as if drenched in fresh blood. There lingered some little spear-like patterns over the edge looking like arrows. The tip of the weapon wasn't pointed, rather it was shaped like the open attacking form of a snake with its forked tongue as if ready to spit venom at the enemy.
Evanora was amazed. It was her creation. The fairy dust particles danced at the whole weapon making it rarer. Evanora ran her fingers over the weapon and felt it's killing nature. She murmured looking at it,
"The demon will be killed and the queen will be defeated. I will be the CROWNED WITCH."
