On this side, the new couple was snuggling into each other's embrace while Scarlet was saying sorry to Emmy for her behavior earlier and finding a comfortable position to lean more into his arms and Emerald was patting her head while caressing her hairs, both of them sitting under the same tree to which Emmy had tucked Scarlet into when he was raged. But now she had apologized successfully and he was calm, or was trying to be calm.

"I didn't know that you would get pissed off to that extent. I know it was for revenge but not totally. I mean, I really liked that Chinchilla and it was very cute." Said Scarlet hanging her head low, pouting her lips acting all cute and being a puppy to which Emmy just chuckled. Before he could say anything, she again spoke making him amazed....

"I will take it back since you hate it so much. But I really wanted you to accept it."

"

'Why ..??" he asked her softly tucking her few hair strands behind her ears which were being unruly because of the soft breeze blowing from the other direction. He really wanted to know that if revenge wasn't the only thing on her plate, what else could it be? "Amm.... I.. I want you to remember me always. If that chinchilla will be with you, that way I will be in your mind always." She said still hanging her head low because she was feeling shy and looking into his eyes was the last thing that she would do now, if she didn't want to get engaged herself doing the forbidden things.

Although they were mates, but still their mate bond was quite new and it would surely take some time to get strengthened. It was the reason that Emerald wasn't able to guess the things going on in her mind and was just guessing her thoughts through her facial expressions which were obviously eluding her actual clumsy and shameless thoughts for she really wanted to kiss him now.

"And why do you want that..?" although he perfectly knew the answer to this question, still he wanted her to answer it. It was a one time opportunity to have her confess her feelings. He would be the happiest wolf on earth when his not destined but chosen mate would say that she love him or she was being jealous.

"Because you are always surrounded by women, beautiful women.... So, ... I.." before she could process further, she was wrapped into a warm, satisfying hug that she was yearning for. It was assuring for her. As if he was trying to say that she should not get worried and he literally did so.

"No matter how many women are there lingering around me, but you are my mate, my Luna... Scarlet and you are always on my mind. I don't need anything to make me remind you." He said softly still caging her in his solid arms letting her listen to his beating heart which seemed to be the most beautiful music of all the times. She was feeling safe and also amazed because of her own words that clearly showed that she was insecure. But now, after his assurance she shouldn't for she knew that very well how protective werewolves were regarding their mates and they treated it as their territory.

"Hmm... I think I will keep that Chinchilla to me now that you won't take it." Said she snuggling deeper into his arms finding a perfect place between his neck and shoulders which was bare and exposed because of the two lose buttons of his white shirt that was sticking to his muscles inhaling his manly cologne.

"Well.... I can keep it only if you assure me that that little rat would not cause any ruckus. Also... I will keep it inside the cage after witnessing how it was roaming over my office desk like it was his own property." Said Emerald making it totally clear to her and earned a soft smile from her which he could feel because her lips curved upwards against his chest and he could feel his heartbeats getting ever more calmer. ~DAWN MOUNTAINS-

While the newly formed couple was enjoying being with each other, the old lady in the wooden house was still in her deep slumber sleep as if she was sleeping after years. It has been one complete day and she was still not up yet because of tiredness. Previous night, she had used so much of her power to protect Emerald and Scarlet inside that barrier not knowing why and from what she was protecting them because she was only following what the old Emperor told her to do so, which ended up getting her exhausted and she dozed off after assuring that her grandson and his mate were safe and everything was over. But now was the time for her to be up and continue with the task she was assigned.

The old lord (Late Emperor) was in her dreams again and finding him there, she got to know perfectly well that she was sleeping for longer times than expected. She was waiting for him to say that she should hurry up and wake up, but here he was looking at her lovingly and not saying anything. This got her worried, but that smile over his face was an assurance that still everything was under control.

He had known about the Dark souls and their attack on Emerald and Scarlet the previous night and also about the one who had planned this all, DANKEIN COSH, but he didn't want to tell her because it would only make her worried which wasn't a good thing since she needed to do everything for the times to come and worrying was the last thing he wanted her to do.

"Won't you say that I should wake up or anything?" asked the old lady stepping close to her husband in the same garden which they used to interact in her dreams.

"No, because you already know that it's time to be up and start ahead." Saying this he smiled and pecked her cheeks before disappearing completely into the thin air like he was never there before.

Staying for longer times in her dreams would do nothing but cause her more pain after they would be done with everything and his leaving. He didn't want to leave her again shattered like she was when he died in the mortal world. He wasn't the one who was supposed to be resurrected, so why to get involved in extra attachments. But was it in his hands!!!!

She was his lovely wife, his mate, his soul mate, his everything and not getting attached to her again was the one thing which wasn't in his control although he was trying hard to do that.

She slowly regained her composure and hauled up from the bed making a note of everything that had happened in the previous two days when her gaze landed on the same mahogany table over which that heavenly book was placed and a yellow colored light was shining out If it. It was a sign for her that she had to resume what she had started. Without wasting anymore time, she hauled up from her sit and went straight into the washroom to get herself cleaned and feed her stomach afterwards because time was running out.

After a time lapse of full 30 minutes, now the old Empress was fully buckled up for another adventurous story except for the fact that she wanted this one to be somewhat less painful from the previous one.

Sitting in her posture, she slowly opened the heavenly book and headed to that page directly from where the yellow flicker was radiating. It was the page that contained the second story for the second day. The moment she started reading this book, she knew already that she would have to come across 7 different stories and that too in 7 days, for it was the name of that book which specified these things clearly.

She flipped the pages until she encountered that yellow flicker which was quite strong previously but now was faint and dim like the stars shining in the night sky lonely without any moon. She understood that this was the page from where she needed to start reading. She sat calmly and waited for the book to unfold those hidden mysteries contained in that but even after her waiting nothing happened.

"Strange ..! No words, no characters... !! What's wrong?" she questioned herself as if she was asking this to the book and the response she got in return was something that stunned her even more.

"What's so strange Empress!! I don't think I am being strange when you expect me to unfold all the things ahead of you while you just sit calmly and do nothing for me!" there was a voice, it wasn't a male or a female yet it was like some human was speaking. The lady looked here and there but found none in the room except her. Then Who was the one speaking there? She was getting afraid thinking that the Dream-Catchers might have located her and now were haunting her hiding themselves like a tiger hides behind the bushes before pouncing upon its prey.

The voice again echoed and this time more loudly taking her off guard...

"Come on, My lady... I have given you a free trial of the first story and that too in a good way, I guess. Now, you have to pay for the next ones to come."

"Who .. are you?? What do you want from me?" asked the Lady still holding onto her posture not letting the one present there according to her know that she was getting scared but it went in vain.

"I am the book talking to you lady. Now hurry up. If you want to know the second story, you have to let go of your dearest possession, which I think you have right now by your neck tied tightly sticking to your heart." Sighed the book and said it. The lady regained her posture and hushed her racing heart thinking..

'Indeed, this book is heavenly. It can also speak. I wonder what more I am going to witness. And immediately she untied the neck chain and with a heavy heart remembering how she always adored it and kept it on the page radiating yellow flicker.

The chain was a gift from her husband on their first night and it was very close to her heart. Whenever he was away from her, it used to accompany her and made her feel his presence besides her. She never kept it away from herself, but now was the time to let go of it. She had to do it for her husband. He already told her that there would be tests at steps. And she was ready for it. The pages of that book started to shine again like they were made of silver and absorbed the chain. After that the words started to appear like the beads of chain.

With a heavy heart, she looked at the shining page with beads forming the words and started to scan the contents.
