Anything For You -
Chapter 92
"Estella..!!" Valor composed himself, recollecting each and every bit of courage that he possessed in his whole body, and called out to her, who was still panting and breathing heavily because of the pain she had been experiencing. He had came across her real identity, but still he couldn't deny the fact that Estella was his friend, and she had helped him stay with the tribal people when he needed it the most. Also, she was the one who persuaded Egon for taking him along.
He somehow still believed that no matter who she really was, in there, it was his friend Estella. Slowly, all the previous memories of her disappearing from the tribe late night and being found in that desolated place alone, helping him heal the wound, and tucking Egon to sleep after making him peaceful, started to flash in his mind. He now understood everything. She possessed enormous powers.
Estella at once became startled listening to Valor calling her from the other side of door. She covered her mouth using her both hands, not letting any more gasps and painful cries out, so as not to get noticed by anyone.
Hauling up from her sit, she approached the door, arranging her dishelved clothes, and once again prying in the room to lookout for any of the skin shreds only to notice that the door was slightly ajar.
Her brain shrieked in fear. Her secret, that she had been hiding after her mother and father, was about to be unveiled just now, in case Valor had seen or heard anything. Tucking all the worries to the deepest cores of her brain, she arranged herself and opened the door slowly peeking her head slightly outside, as if checking fir the presence of any thieves.
"Valor, What happened? What are doing here at this hour?"
She asked immediately, but in calm and composed manner trying to not let the person in front of her guess anything wrong or weird. But he had already witnessed everything. Valor wasn't a le to answer her for a single moment, and his gaze was struck at her green eyes which were still glowing a bit, changing colors occasionally, confirming her transition.
"I... I heard some noises outside your room. So, I just came ... to check. Is... everything alright? You look... haggard and very tired!!"
He also tried to be as calm and composed as possible. Although he had known her identity, yet he didn't wasn't to let her know this. He was afraid. He formed the words with greater difficulties and looked inside her room casually, in order for not to let her doubt him.
Estella when realised that Valor had been prying inside her room, immediately stepped outside the room closing the door with a soft thud sound. She stood there with expressionless face and just threw away the next set of words at him,
"I wasn't ... I mean, I was just dreaming. I had a ... bad dream, a very bad dream. May be you heard me then. That's also the reason for me being haggard and tired. Nothing else. You... can rest assured. Everything is pretty fine. You should go back to your room and sleep. It's late."
Valor nodded in agreement and decided to not question her anymore. Moreover, what he was supposed to ask her. If she had been willing to share her secret with him, she would have done that long ago. But if she was hiding it still, it means he wasn't in any position to meddle in her affairs. Also, he still had to find out about his love, and in no case he wanted to loose his life by raging this snake girl ahead of him, whose eyes were not turning back to normal.
He left after biding her goodnight. Estella stepped inside and secured the door lock. She hastily approached her bag, and retrieved a white crystal from the rear pocket, which looked like it never existed before. Sitting down over the floor, she closed her eyes and concentrated.
Within a moment, her skin again started to shimmer in green color, and the crystal started to float in mid air. Some violet rays started to emerge out of it, and soon a face formed. She opened her eyes and saw the figure formed by those violet rays, only to get afraid to core. Her face turned pale, like a dead leaf, and the sweat drops started to form over her glassy forehead.
She was so much finked, that only a word came out of her shivering lips, which was inaudible,
"Snake-Charmer!"
-YOUNGBLOOD RESIDENCE-
Here in the Youngblood House, Evanora was being perplexed after inviting Estella and Valor both. She had already decided of what to demand from king Egon in return of her favour, but was thinking about what benefits could she possibly gain from these two people, among whom, one was a lovelorn man and the other was a broken girl. They possessed nothing according to her.
But now, something had happened. She was the highest ranked witch and the most powerful witch prodigy of all. If anybody used magic, even in yards closer to her area, she would know immediately. That was the matter of concern for her now.
She had not only sensed one, but two different kinds of magic being practiced in her village. It was something new. Now she was determined to find out the owners. Although the village possessed magic, yet there weren't many people who practiced magic now. So, she was always happier to know the young witches or wizards.
Sitting over the floor cross-legged in a meditating position, she chanted some spells and then touched her palms over the floor. She was connecting herself to the earth. For a witch, the magic comes from earth. Although, she was able to channelize water and fire also, but earth was the most powerful element for witches.
She channelized her energy into the earth to know about the ones practicing magic. After a moment, she shot open her eyes as if she had seen a ghost, totally surprised and shocked.
"What is he doing here? I believe he was banned from this village. If he is here again, it means.... Oh God! There is a shape-shifter too. I ... I have to find it before he does."
Mumbling these words, she again performed the magic and this time she channelized a locket's energy, which she acquired in return of helping a fairy long ago. Slowly, a figure appeared in front of her eyes, and what she saw, made her face totally pale and blank. "How is this possible? She can't be the one. And ... and if she is the one, how was I not able to notice her true identity prior to today."
Evanora became aware of Estella being a shape-shifter, a snake woman. She knew her mother, the same lady who she had taught some two decades back, when her mother served Evanora, while she was on a trip to the forbidden land (Now it is forbidden land, but before that it was a very happening and lively place).
Hauling up from the floor, she retrieved her locket, and put it back on her slender neck again. Composing herself, she went to her magic room, where she helped Egon, and started to look for something. After a few minutes, her face lit up forming into a beautiful and contended smile, as if she had got what she desired.
Arranging her clothes, and maintaining her elderly and powerful aura, she was all set to step out in order to complete the mission, she just set up in her mind. She had to do it, before Estella and valor's visit. She had to ensure Estella's safety, before something happens to her.
And for that, she need to see him now. Getting ready, she stepped into her heels, and said looking at herself in the mirror, as if she was talking to someone else, "Wait there! I am coming for you."
