Anything For You -
Chapter 96
Evanora was way too excited to welcome the duo in her house, because now she was going to get more powers, and freedom from the ages old slavery of that body of hers. The mortal body has its both pros and cons. But with the lapse of time, it only leads to weakness and diseases. It was a good thing that she herself was a great and powerful witch. If she had been a common human, she would have been a dead meat by now. No common human could live so longer.
But she contained her excitement to herself only, thinking that King Egon must have told the duo about how Evanora had welcomed him and Akhim in her house the previous day. So, she didn't want to create any alertness among the duo and decided to go with the flow. After all, they wouldn't ever escape from her holds.
Here, both the people stood outside the house thinking about how to get in, since there was nobody to ask them in or any other signs from the great witch. But then, Valor stepped ahead and slightly crouched forward, knocking the door grabbing the handle there two times.
Both of them stood there bewildered as nobody stepped out to open the door, and there weren't any noises too.
"Its weird." Whispered Estella gazing towards Valor who was still standing at the same position, ready to knock once again, hoping to get a response this time. But listening to Estella there, he also whispered in the lowest possible tone,
"We are standing outside the house of an ages old witch prodigy, who can turn the paper into a talking sparrow. What could be more weird than that."
Nodding after listening to his talk, Estella this time stepped ahead and both of them knocked the door slightly three times. Before they could move any further, the door creaked open and exposed the beautiful and lavishly designed house in front of them, so that they unknowingly stepped inside.
But the other moment they both flinched on their respective positions when the same door got shut with a loud thud, caging both of them in the house about they didn't have any slightest bit of an idea, where to go and which way leads to where. Evanora was using the same tactic to lure them inside, she used with Egon, so as not to get caught and doubted upon. She was sitting in her room waiting for them to arrive at the turning point in the house. Just as Estella set foot on the turning point, EVANORA's voice was heard in the whole of house saying,
"Miss Estella, Mr. Valor, I welcome you both in my house. Please step ahead and move towards your left to the room with a black door. You shall find me there."
Both of them felt relaxed a bit after hearing her voice because it was a confirmation that she was present there and they arrived at the right time. Soon, they joined Evanora in the room with black door, from where they both headed towards the other room filled with her magical belongings and many crystal balls.
Both of them were astonished to find so many magical things, but to them too, the most amazing thing was the presence of large number of crystal balls. Valor was so amused that he was just about to touch one, when Evanora came and stopped him calling him, "I hope Mr. Valor know the courtesy that you should not mess with anything in someone else's house." She said those words with an elegant smile, making her look like a diva and an idol of kindness.
Valor retreated his hands and apologized bowing down to which Evanora just raised her hand gesturing him to stop doing it saying,
"You are my guest. You should not apologize Mr. Valor." And the other instant, her gaze landed on the beautiful girl accompanying Valor, who was standing in a corner still trying to process the things. Evanora understood her difficulties and approached her. Patting over her head affectionately, she whispered in her ears,
"Don't worry. I will be there with you. I know it's hard to dig in the past, but that's what helps you to move further. Isn't it?"
Estella was too moved to hear that, and she nodded her head in a yes agreeing to Evanora's words because that was also what her mother used to say to her.
Soon, the ladies were sitting in front of each other, with a giant blue colored crystal ball in the middle, while Valor was sitting in the another room as per Evanora's instructions, since she didn't want any complications before she even started her mission. Evanora held Estella's hand and caressed it soothing Estella which helped her a bit and she had a long sigh before nodding, gesturing the witch to continue. Then moments later, there was a color change of the crystal ball from blue to green when Evanora closed her eyes and enchanted some spells.
She had taken Estella on a ride which was too dangerous to the extent that her own self would be getting shattered after the truth that was going to be unfolded right then and there.
Both of them felt relaxed a bit after hearing her voice because it was a confirmation that she was present there and they arrived at the right time. Soon, they joined Evanora in the room with black door, from where they both headed towards the other room filled with her magical belongings and many crystal balls.
Here in the other village where the snake-charmer used to live, so many people had gathered outside his house after witnessing the sky-reaching flames of fire coming out from that house. Some were just standing and watching the show whispering amongst themselves, while other were trying to extinguish the fire throwing sand and water at it.
An elderly man came there, and yelled. He was hustling the bystanders to help the man who he had seen entering the house some time ago. He believed that the person, the snake-charmer inside was still alive and could be saved. But he was just stressing himself, because the poor soul had already left the haggard body long ago.
After an hour or two, finally the fire was under control, and people huffed mouthfuls of air to fill in their lungs with plenty of oxygen. Some young men rushed inside to find any living being still alive inside the house, but in vain. All they got were the left over bones of that poor old snake-charmer shattered here and there in the burnt house, which was no different than a haunted house by now.
There were ashes everywhere. The magical belongings, the dead animals and other belongings of that man were all engulfed by the burning fire leaving no evidence for his life being lived there. Only some bones were left there, which screamed about his death, his departure from this world, in which he tried to survive by all means. But in the end, he ended himself.
When people were wondering about what and how had happened there, talking about the man who was dead in that fire, a soul was wandering there amongst themselves, listening to their talks and watching them whisper and murmur all sorts of things, trying to reconnect with them.
~DESTINY LAND~
Choice and Destiny both were having teary eyes watching all the emotional scenarios of snake-charmer's life and his pathetic death.
"Why did he do that, sister? Why did he end up his life like that? He... he should have fought against that witch. She clearly caused his death. I... I feel bad for him." Whispered choice in the lowest possible audible voice of hers, with sadness filled in her heart. "We can't do anything. And I couldn't do anything to save him. It was ... it was his fate. He had to die like that. Sometimes, fate is the most cruel thing, but in the end, all things fall in place." Destiny said to choice and tried to calm herself and her little brat.
