Chapter 69: Stanley ‘STAN’ Norris vs. Ian ‘WILL’ Williams ~ A wolf and his mate!

"But you didn't allow me to finish asking my question." Will laughed.
"I could guess what you were about to ask." He gave a mock growl. "She's a real looker but this was work. Rogues are a serious deal so she needed to tell me. When we've gotta work, we've gotta work."
"Hey, relax," Will muttered. "I'm not complaining or anything like that. I don't own you."
"But you do." Stan flipped Will onto his back and covered his body with his. "I love it when you get jealous." He trailed kisses across his cheek.
"When have I ever been jealous?" Will breathed, tilting his head to give Stan better access. "I've never..." He moaned.
"Liar, liar, pants on fire," Stan murmured as his lips moved to the back of Will's ear. "The first day you saw Gaia, you got so jealous."
"Well, she was all over you." He gave a breathless groan which drew laughter from Stan. "If you kiss my neck, I won't be responsible for what happens next."
"What..." Stan laughed even harder and raised his head to look down at his grinning mate. He couldn't resist leaning down to kiss those dimples. "I loved that thing you did with the ice by the way. It blew my mind." He pressed a lingering kiss to the lips he loved to devour.
"Glad you liked it." Will all but purred. It felt damn good to know he'd pleased his man.
"It was different and exciting." Stan moved to lie beside Will and drew the covers over them. "But I'm sure you already know how it feels," he smirked.
"I do," Will answered simply as he moved closer and laid his head on Stan's shoulder. "Thank you for saving me from the wild boar in the jungle," he said quietly after a moment.
A growl rumbled in Stan's chest when he recalled that night and how scared he'd been. "What the fuck were you thinking charging into the jungle that time of the night while it was raining heavily?"
"I wasn't thinking." Will sighed. "That boar was damn ugly," He mumbled and then laughed when Stan dissolved into laughter.
"You're an idiot." Stan shook his head in amusement. "Maybe I should have waited to see whether you could have talked it out of killing your stupid arse."
Will groaned. "Don't remind me. I can't believe I actually thought my talk had saved me from the wolf in that first encounter." He laughed.
"Well, it did save you from the bite. You fascinated the fuck out of that wolf."
"I did see him in you that night, you know," he murmured. "Your eyes had a different colour after our fight in the suite. When I asked you, you made it seem as if I wasn't seeing right."
"I couldn't have possibly told you then." Stan pressed a kiss to Will's head. "Sorry."
"Gaia said the wolf was bent on turning me that night the boar showed up. How did you manage to talk it out of it?"
"I didn't. You did."
"How?" Will drew back his head to look at Stan in confusion.
"You told him you loved him."
"And that changed his mind?" his eyes went wide in surprise. "I'm not saying I don't love that wolf. I can't help but love him. He's totally amazing."
Stan felt his wolf's excited howls within him at his mate's words and groaned. 'Settle the fuck down,' he growled at the beast. To his mate, he said, "I simply pointed out that you wouldn't love him anymore if he bit you before you understood everything. And he saw my point."
"And yet he still bit me before I knew what was going on," Will mumbled.
"Technically speaking, you knew before the bite." Stan drawled.
"Are you shitting me?"
"Hey, you were told but refused to believe anything. How's that the wolf's fault?" Stan said with mock seriousness.
"Well, fuck you very much." Will yawned. "So where were we?"
"Before we went to shower, I think we were talking about your gift."
"That was just in passing." Will laughed softly. "Nothing much to say about that. You were telling me about the pack. Continue."
And they talked till the wee hours of the morning. By the time they were drifting off to sleep, Will knew virtually everything there was to know about Stan's pack and was looking forward to meeting them.
Stan felt so proud at the level of maturity that Will had portrayed during their talk. He was very objective and real. Will hadn't prolonged issues or expressed anger like he'd expected which impressed the hell out of Stan.
They understood and respected each other which was the backbone of every relationship. As planned, they were going to meet each other's families that day which would strengthen their bond even more. Neither man could wait.

"Uncle Ian!" The adorable little boy of about four gave a squeal of delight which made Will laugh.
He picked up his nephew and swung him around to more delighted squeals. "How's my big man doing?" Will asked as he put the happy boy down.
"He's bigger." The boy spread his arms wide. "Who are you?" he asked Stan who was standing by the door watching the display between uncle and nephew.
"I'm Stan." Stan came forward and crouched in front of the boy. "And you're Rodney."
"How did you know?"
"Your uncle Ian told me." Stan laughed. "Good to meet you, Rodney." He got to his feet when he heard a female voice repeating his name in a voice filled with surprised thrill. "Hello, Sharon." Stan grinned as his eyes went to the heavily pregnant lady who was in the process of sitting up on the couch she'd been lying in.
"Oh my god, finally." Sharon beamed as she gazed at Stan. "And you're so gorgeous too." She added eliciting laughter from Stan and an eye roll from her brother.
"And you are beautiful my dear," Stan said, throwing Will a deadly look when he snorted.
"Don't listen to him, Shay," the soldier drawled. "You look like a hippo and Barney combined." He jumped out of the way of the throw pillow his sister threw at him. "You're an idiot." Sharon got to her feet when Stan came closer and hugged him warmly.
"That, he is," Stan murmured, making Sharon laugh.
"Thank you for everything, Stan," Sharon said, her eyes full of gratitude. "I still can't believe I'd never heard of you till mum passed." She gestured for Stan to take a seat as she sat down. Rodney had taken Will to his room to show him his latest game so only the two of them remained in the living room.
"Well, you'll be seeing more of me from now onwards." Stan grinned.
"I'd love that." She beamed.
The two conversed and laughed as if they'd know each other for long. For Stan, he'd heard so much about Sharon it felt as if he already knew her. Their conversation flowed to the excitement of Sharon.
"It's a girl. We're going to name her Ava after mum," Sharon smiled.
"I'm sure that will make your mum very happy." Stan nodded. "She was a lovely lady?"
"I didn't know you two ever met." Sharon looked surprised.
"Oh we ner..."
"They met once." Will cut Stan off as he entered the living room.
"Really?"
"Uh-huh." Will took a seat as Stan left to receive a call outside. "So...there's something I need to tell you, Shay." He cleared his throat. "Stan and I are together." He blurted out before his sister could ask what it was. "Huh?" Sharon took a sip of water.
