Chapter 70: Stanley ‘STAN’ Norris vs. Ian ‘WILL’ Williams ~ Stanwood Pack beckons!

***

"Stan and I are...dating."

Sharon's eyes went wide for a moment. Then she burst into laughter. "What did you smoke this morning?" She put her glass of water on the coffee table and then slowly relaxed into the couch. "I'm serious, Shay."

"Yeah, and I'm Mother Superior." She snorted. "You're not even bi. You like women. So how do you expect me to believe this."

"Well, people change. And this has got nothing to do with being bi or straight. It is about liking someone."

"And you like Stan?" She looked amused. "He's very manly. Gorgeous but all man. How can it be possible when you both look like gladiators? Isn't one supposed to be effeminate or a bit soft for this to work?" She was clearly not buying what Will was saying. "Aren't we a little too old for pranks?" She yawned.

"This is no prank, Shay." Will looked at his sister intently.

"Oh my god, you're serious." She gasped, her eyes wide. She knew when her brother was serious. "Ian!" She screeched, then burst into laughter. "Shut. The. Front. Door!" She sat up. "Don't get me wrong, I like Stan. Very much. But...this is you. All those girls... Oh god, I wish mum were here."

"She knew," Will said simply.

"Mum knew you like guys?" her eyes went even wider.

"She knew I like Stan. I told you they've met."

"You two always kept stuff from me." She complained just as Stan stepped back into the living room. "I still think you're pulling my legs." Sharon's wide eyes lifted to follow the sexy hunk as he took his seat. Just one look at Sharon and Stan's eyebrow raised in curiosity.

"Did I miss something?" Stan drawled, his gaze shifting from Sharon to her brother.

"Well, I told Sharon we're together," Will said, sounding almost bored. "She didn't believe me 'cause according to her, you look too manly to be with me. I told her it didn't matter how you looked or your sex, I like you. She said she wished my mother were here...so that she could go snitch of course. But I burst her bubble by telling her mum already knows and has even met you once. That's what you missed." By the end of his narration, his sister was having a full-body blush. "Oh, she still doesn't believe me by the way."

"Oh, right." Stan looked amused. "Where's Rodney?"

"In his room, playing," Will said.

"Good," Stan said as he moved towards Will. "Last time I checked, members of the Williams family usually needed some evidence to believe shit." The last word was murmured against the lips of a grinning Will. "Besides, I've been dying to do this," he whispered and then proceeded to give Will a hot open-mouthed kiss right there in front of a shocked Sharon.

If the two men heard her gasp, they didn't react. They kissed each other passionately as though they were the only two there. When the kiss ended, Stan rubbed his nose against Will's and chuckled.

"I can never get enough of this mouth," he murmured against Will's lips. "Think she believes us now?"

"If that didn't convince her, I don't know what else would." Will breathed, slightly dazed from the kiss. "Shay?"

"Ian?" Sharon sounded shocked but excited.

"Are you convinced or you want..."

"Fuck you, Ian." She shook her head as she reached for her glass of water.

"What?" Stan had a mock innocent look on his face. "You want me to fuck Ian?"

Sharon was so shocked at Stan's words she erupted into laughter and then promptly began to cough. Both Will and Stan rushed to her side. Stan took the glass from her, saying how sorry he was the entire time whilst a laughing Will rubbed her on the back until she quieted down.

"Are you okay?" Stan asked with a worried frown. At Sharon's nod, he apologized again.

"Know what? You two deserve each other." She croaked even as she reached out to draw Stan into a hug. "As his big sister, let me know when he fucks up. I'll whoop his arse."

"For fuck's sake, you're supposed to threaten him and not the other way round." Will drawled.

"Have you met you?" Sharon shot back as Stan laughed.

Stan and Will had planned to leave Sharon's home early enough in order to have lunch at the pack house but at Stan's insistence, they waited for Sharon's husband to get home before they left. He said he wasn't comfortable leaving just Sharon and Rodney at home.

"You can pop at any moment so you need people around you at all times." He said insistently.

"That's why we have telephones, you know." Will had pointed out but his mate wouldn't budge.

In all, they had a good visit. Sharon was sad to see them go. She leaned against Stan's car as they were ready to leave and made both of them promise to come back for another visit in the shortest possible time.

"Let me know as soon as Ava drops, okay?" Will said.

"You know I will." She said softly. "Drive safe."

"So..." Stan said as he backed out of the driveway, "Ready to meet some werewolves?"

"You bet."

"Wow!" Will gasped as they went through the main gate to the pack house. "This place is huge." "Yep."

"That looks like a hotel." He pointed at the magnificent building ahead. "Is it?"

"Nope. That's Jeremy's house."

"What? How can one person live in that?"

"He was alpha and now the alpha of all alphas, remember? He doesn't live in that alone. Other werewolves live in there with him. I have a suite in there." Stan headed for the 'hotel'. "Werewolves from other packs must feel comfortable and at home when they come to visit. That can easily take about three hundred people.

"And do you get people from other packs coming to visit often?"

"Wolves from other packs who owe allegiance to Stanwood Pack, pack members who live outside the pack house, and friends from other packs usually join us for runs once every month. Fun times, I tell ya. Although we live anywhere we wish... amongst regular human folk, we always converge here to run as a pack. Everyone who comes needs to have a place to rest after the run. Sometimes they stay for a day or two. So this mansion comes in handy." "Right." Will stared at the modern-day castle that Stan had parked under.

It was huge and breathtakingly beautiful. It was obvious that a lot had gone into the magnificent structure. Will could see acres of land around the mansion. There were also lots of nicely-arranged cute houses with charming front stoops and beautiful yards.

"So all these other houses are..."

"For families. This is a whole community, Will. You'll see." Stan couldn't help the proud grin that slit his lips.

He'd called earlier to inform Philip that they would rather be joining them for dinner as they'd been held up at Sharon's. Dinner was with just the inner caucus for now. Eventually, the entire pack would get to see his mate but for now, he wanted to introduce his handsome mate to just a few people. Stan knew that by then, the dining room was buzzing with excitement and anticipation as those mischievous folks waited for him and Will to show up.

Stan had also decided that it wasn't a good idea to go for a run due to the sightings of rogues on the land. He wanted to assess the situation himself and be sure there were no threats before he took his still-human mate into the woods. The plan was to spend the night in the pack house and go for a run the following day after he ensured there were no threats.

"Ready?" he asked Will who looked simple but striking in a black fitted button-down shirt and sexy black chinos with ankle-high black dress shoes. Stan opened one more button and then gave Will a roguish look that made him grin. "Let's do this."
