Avenging The Triplet Alphas -
Chapter 62
Loki's POV
I grunted as my eyes blinked open, I twirled on the hard concrete. My head was lying in a pool of blood trickling down the nasty gash on the back of my head.
I could still hear Arielle screaming as it rang loud in my head exacerbating the throbbing pain reverberating in my head.
The memories came flooding in as I set eyes on Jonathan standing a few meters away from where I lay with Elijah at his size. Memories of what transpired cut through me as I remembered what had happened. The tears welled up in my eyes as I struggled to sit up, the pain nearly blinding me.
"Let me help you," Jonathan said as rushed to my side. I swung my arm wildly hoping to hit him but he dodged it easily. I didn't want his help, I wasn't the one in need of help right now.
I was bewildered. I racked my brain hoping the right words would form on my lips but I was too distraught to talk.
"I am truly sorry, Loki. Father made his guards do this." Jonathan ran his hand over his tousled hair, his eyes filled with regret.
"And all these while he was saying he was right, you know? Family comes first. That is the code by which we live."
I opened my mouth to speak but I snapped it shut as our father walked in.
"Those were one of the first words you said to me, Loki when you took your vow and you stood by that until Arielle came along and f****d you up." His eyes were wild with hatred.
"You wanted to throw all we had worked for because of a girl. I couldn't let that happen. I kept covering up for your shortcomings till I told your father about your fling with Arielle and we came up with a plan. I wasn't alone on this, a good number of the pack that's still loyal to me supported me but you and your brothers were blinded by your emotions to see no one had your back anymore. You were supposed to accomplish your mission and let the girl be, but you couldn't, you and your brothers had fallen in love with the one girl you could never have. The one girl I wanted to ruin by all means. One day, you'll thank me for this. I know you will."Always visit FindNovel.net for more novels and updates
Xavier Van Tyson strode over to where his son lay sprawled on the bare floor, disappointment and anger visible in his eyes.
"You are a disgrace, Loki Van Tyson. I thought I trained you better-"
"She's the mother to your grandchild, father." I pleaded, cutting him short. I turned towards Jonathan and Elijah and I could see the distress on both their faces, they shared in my current feelings.
As Jonathan had suggested, we went over to our father's place to tell him everything we knew about the incoming ambush by the neighboring packs Klaus had managed to pissed off and that was when the ambush began, right in the middle of the night. My first instinct had been to rush back home to save Arielle and our son but that was the last thing I remembered before opening my eyes and finding myself on the floor.
"I'll do whatever you want if you let us go back home," I said again, my eyes fixed on him.
The surprise was evident on Xavier's face, visible for only a few seconds before he straightened his suit jacket as he stared at me.
"I underestimated you, I won't do it again. As for the girl, don't bother about saving her, she'll die tonight along with that abomination you call my grandchild. No child born of a Van Tyson would ever share the same blood with my enemy. I was in favor of your son a while ago but I've changed my mind. He's not and he'll never be a true Van Tyson.
"I expect you to report to the pack house in the next ten minutes and I will warn you not to ever speak of this matter again. They're yet to reach the mansion and we have to protect it by all means on the orders of Alpha Klaus. Every fighting wolf is making their way there and I expect the three of you to do the same.
I was finding it hard to breathe. Never had I been in so much pain before.
"The next time you pull off a stunt like this, Loki. I'll kill you myself."
I tore my eyes away from my father as he walked towards the door flanked by his bodyguards, his work here was done.

I moved closer to where the enemy lay ambush just outside the heavy gates, carefully silhouetted by the night. They had carefully planned the whole setup brilliantly. They gave me no time to think and the few guards I had left were greatly outnumbered. Our house was out in the middle of nowhere as well, it was pretty difficult to call for help or find help.
There were two enemy soldiers situated outside with AK-47 rifles, they had no clue to the danger they were about to face. They looked sharp and alert, but they were no match for me, Loki and Jonathan had come along with me. We were like a pack of hounds. Once set loose, we were going to everything in our path. They were going to fight from the front while I took care of business from the back.
I racked my brain finding the weakest spot to get into the mansion. Making my way to the northwest corner of the Villa, I noticed it was just one guard surveying the entire area. An easy target for a man of my many talents. I could hear the commotion from within the walls as my heart palpitated rapidly.
I rolled up my sleeves, breaking out into a small run as I jumped on the wall, planting my weak foot on it before grabbing the top with my hands. I pushed off with the weak foot pushing myself up with my hands giving myself momentum as I climbed up silently. The patrol guard was oblivious to my presence, his attention focused on the building tension growing within the walls. I moved slowly, making sure I was balanced. Before using both hands to grab the guard by the shirt, at the center of the chest just below the collar. Using my full body weight, I pushed forward into him making his upper body lean back. As soon as his shoulders were disengaged, I grabbed his arms and pulled him towards me the top of my head met with his nose and it dropped down, knocking him unconscious. I could hear the cries as gunshots rang out into the night, the sound echoing through the dark. I jumped off the wall running towards the main house, my head ducked to avoid any stray bullet. I could hear the howling and growling of wolves as they were engaged in a fierce battle out on the open grounds. We were greatly outnumbered but we chose to stand and fight, I had to give it to the guards, they didn't have to stay and be loyal but they chose to. These men were fearless and it made the enemy scared. But, it was obvious they wouldn't hold out for long.
The man guarding the pathway to the house, pointed his gun at me yelling for me to stop, his voice rising over the loud commotion. I ignored his warning and ran into him before his burly fingers wrapped around the trigger of his gun. I swung my dominant arm up with my fingers slightly bent, exposing the heel of my palm as I struck just below his chin, snapping his head back and knocking him out before swinging him over my shoulder as he landed on his neck, the satisfying crack I heard meant he wouldn't be getting up again.
My head turned sharply as I heard the crackling of timbers, the fizzles, and sparks as the fire ate up the several buildings intertwined with the cries stemming from the houses and I knew it would be no different back home.
"What have you done, father?" I screamed as I remembered how he had held us up and stopped us from making our way down here earlier. My face grew pale as realization dawned on me, the throbbing pain beat out a dull rattle compared to the pain I felt in his chest.
My head was filled with just one thought, Arielle.
I could see her sitting on the plush couch in the living room cradling our baby, a smile playing on her ruby-red lips.
She was wearing her favorite green dress, the same as the color of her eyes.
Everything was in shades of white, gray, and beige. The room is designed with glittering stars as wallpapers. A red canvas hung above the fireplace, an impeccable array of the blue seascape.
Nothing was going to put my dream of her and our child in jeopardy.
Everything would be fine as soon as I got to her, I couldn't watch her die for a sin she was thoroughly absolved of.
"What are you thinking of doing right now?" I turned around to face Loki and Elijah who were both bloodied in their wolf forms.
"I'm going in."
I forced the large metal door open screaming Maria's name as I ran straight past the cries of women and children filling the air as they saw me. I couldn't bring myself to think about how they got here in the first place. Letting out a shout, I ran into the burning building.
It felt like I was walking through a lake of fire. The marble entrance was engulfed in a swirling mass of smoke and inching rapidly towards the inner rooms.
The ceiling was on fire. The red and orange light was eating up the paint like a starving man, spreading like butter on a slice of bread. The tiles on the wall were split and were oozing fire. A large chunk of the plaster fell off the wall to the ground, shattering into fiery pieces.
I ran up the flight of stairs. It was still warm but the marble tiles were heating up rapidly. I got to the top of the stairs, bent low, and took a deep breath and for the first time I choked on the soot lodged in my burning lungs, my chest felt like I had inhaled hot gas. I had to think fast or die.
The corridor to my left was soaked in flames. I managed to stifle a cough and listen.
I could hear the cries of anguish over the crackling of the fire.
I broke out into a small run into the right corridor, the fire seeping out of the holes on the electric socket fixed on the walls like thin streams.
The fire had yet to take firm hold.
The brass door to the first bedroom on the right wing of the house was slightly agar.
I hit it with my shoulder watching the door slide ajar slowly.
Peering through the fog of smoke in the room, I gazed down and saw Maria's small frame curled up into a ball on the broken bedpost, her fragile hands hovering over our son who was currently crying at the top of his lungs.
I heaved a sigh of relief as I realized they were both safe.
She lifted her head slowly as I approached her. Her body shook furiously as she coughed.
She flung herself into my open arms when she saw me, sobbing out loud, her hands cradling our son.
"What is going on, Loki?" Confusion laced in her cracked voice.
"Who wants to hurt us?" She said again.
I said nothing as I held her tightly.
"How are you here, Loki?"
"There's a family just across the hallway, help them, please. I'm fine, they need you more."
I turned and ran back the way I came, heading towards the cries which were getting louder by the second.
I rounded the corner and stopped dead. I couldn't make it through. The entire hallway was a tunnel of fire. My bare skin was smoldering from the heat.
I was too late.
I turned and ran into the bathroom, letting out a sigh of relief as I saw the drapes were still warm. I pulled them down and turned on the faucet and soaked them as fast as I could.
The fire was growing wilder with every passing second.
I grabbed the dripping drapes and ran into the bedroom where Maria lay.
My coughs were getting fierce, my chest was an acid burn.
"I can't do anything for them and I have to get you out of here now."
