Chapter 16

YUNIFER'S POV

I puffed up a sigh in anger as I was trying to calm my nerves. Even if I badly wanted to beat the s**t out of them, I know that my moves are completely useless to them since I can't beat them. The only thing I could do and what I'm good at was trash-talking to them! Just when I entered the classroom, my eyes widened as blood boiled inside of me. How could they be so cruel? I gritted my teeth and took out my bag and used it to slam at the bully's head, one by one while gnashing my teeth from anger.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" I angrily shouted as I protected Kale who was trembling from the ground as his head was dripping with blood.

I couldn't help but think that they were cruel! However, there was none other crueler than Kale towards himself! He could fight back against them. He could win against them even if he wanted to. So why did he just let them beat him up like he was some sort of punching bag? "Get up!" I shouted at Kale while not knowing that my face was filled with worries.

It wasn't because I'm some sort of a saint who would help others. I know that I'm not a good person. The reason why I always kept on helping this omega Kale was that he reminded me of himself.

If I was still living in my mother's house and was still under her control, for sure that what I'm about to experience was the same as his situation today. Even though I could fight, for sure that mother was still controlling me as if I were her marionette. Even if I wanted to defend myself and break free from the so-called strings that bind me, I know that mother would use my weakness to bind me again.

I could see that it was what Kale was fighting against. He became someone's marionette. Although it was not good to pry at someone else's business, I already considered him my friend. I already regard him as one.

Not only because his situation was similar to mine but also because he was brave. I could see that he was struggling and fighting against it, hoping that one day, he would see the light and his wings won't be cut off again.

Kale's slightly red eyes looked at me with a hint of surprise but in the end, he didn't say anything and accepted my hand as he stood up from clutching to the ground.

"W-Why save me again?" I heard him softly ask.

When I looked at him, he was filled with despair and confusion. Seeming not to understand why someone would lend their hand to help a weakling like him.

I shrugged my shoulder. "Who knows why. Maybe I owe you from my past life."

Hearing this, Kale's mouth twitched slightly. When I saw the blood on his head, I frowned.

"Let's go to the clinic." I insisted after seeing him wounded.

However, Kale shook his head widely as if there was a grim reaper waiting for him in the clinic. "N...no... d-don't send me there... I'm okay..."

Seeing his violent reaction, I stopped insisting and nodded my head. I suddenly wondered why Kale had a big reaction when the clinic was mentioned. Is the one who controlled him and used him a doctor?

However, I didn't dare to ask. I remained oblivious and acted normal in front of him as if I didn't see his panic earlier.

Since he didn't want to go see the clinic doctor, I persuaded him that he should let me clean up his wounds and bandage them, at least that they wouldn't be infected.

"Wow, you two are lovers?!"

When I looked back, I saw Samantha who was looking at us with a mocking grin, laughing after seeing us being together.

I couldn't help but roll my eyes and continue to treat Kale's wound. I found him trembling and seemed to be nervous again.

If my hunch was right, he seemed not to want to be part of some scandal or false news about love or affairs as if he was afraid of someone hearing those words. Someone...

Did Kale already find his mate? Is his mate the one who controlled Kale and who made him like this?

Even so, I still held back my curiosity even though I badly wanted to ask him.

I calmly looked at Samantha and let out a heavy sigh. "Are you not tired of messing with me? Is your life that boring?"

"Of course! It's very fun to watch you suffer especially since I hate someone like you to the core!" Samantha replied while rolling her eyes.

I replied in a monotone voice. "Same here, I also hate you very much. The feeling is very mutual."

I saw Samantha's face covered with red, seeming to be boiling from anger. She gnashed her teeth and looked at me with a provocative look.

"Well anyway, whatever delusions you are dreaming about the Triplets Alphas, you should put it down or much better if you stop being delusional especially since they are my Alphas and I'm going to be their Luna's. After all, it was already agreed with their Alpha father, and for sure that they would agree. Well, the four of us are childhood sweethearts so it's natural for me to be their Luna so you should stop dreaming." Samantha declared before she flipped her hair and turned away with a humph.

However, when I heard her words, I seemed to malfunction. There was something in my heart, a hand to be rather, squeezing my heart tightly that it made hard to breathe, and was almost suffocated. The feeling was too painful.

From the very start, I could already tell that Samantha was going to be their Luna especially after being rejected by the three of them and disregarding the fact that I was their mate. They are my mates.

But they don't want me.

Again and again, I was abandoned again.

I was disappointed again for putting hope in someone whom I can't call mine.

Although at first, I know that I could accept being rejected by them especially since my hatred towards them was at a max level. But the more that I got to spend time with them, the deeper I fell into the trap of love. The feeling was too suffocating.

I shouldn't hope from the beginning. I shouldn't fall from the beginning.

I was already rejected. I am their Rejected Luna. So how come I was still holding onto the rope that was already rotten and seemingly waiting to let go?

I, myself didn't even realize that I was fallen for them. If it wasn't because of Samantha, I wouldn't have realized what this strange feeling that I have been feeling towards them.

Ironic isn't it? At first, I regarded them as bullies and even confront them after being rejected. But now, look at me... I fell hard.

But I don't want to go to the point where I have to beg them to stay with them and choose me.

"Are you okay?"

I snapped back to reality when I heard Kale's words. I saw him handing me a white handkerchief, making me look at him with confusion. He pointed his eyes, making me tilt my head then suddenly I realized that my cheeks were wet. It seemed that I cried.

I looked dazed as I wipe my tears hastily with a handkerchief.

I let out a heavy laugh. "Dang, I don't even know what's wrong with me. It seemed that there was something wrong with my eyes."

However, Kale remained unmoved, and instead, he patted my shoulder as if he was trying to comfort me and I could sense that he was awkward with it. Not experienced when it comes to giving comfort.

"A-Are you sad because Samantha will be the Triplets Luna?" He suddenly asked with a hesitant voice, while looking me in the eyes.

I was stunned by his words and quickly denied it. "Of course not! I just remembered my mother. I'm sure that she was all alone in our house now."

Kale remained quiet after hearing me reason then, in the end, he opened his mouth and uttered, "Liar. You're hurt. Your heart is bleeding."

I wanted to retort and say that it wasn't but I don't dare to utter those words because, in truth, my heart was indeed bleeding.

I took a deep breath and calmly wiped my tears before giving back the handkerchief to him and he shook his head as if he wanted me to use it again in case I would cry.

Feeling helpless, I spoke. "Don't worry, I won't cry anymore."

"It's fine to cry sometimes.. After all, we have emotions. It's not like our heart is made of stone and can't feel emotions." Kale suddenly said with a solemn tone, making me chuckle.

"Wow, you're getting more and more good at comforting!" I sincerely praised them while rubbing his hair.

Just then, I heard a cold voice speak in front of us.

"Here you are, Kale. I heard that you were injured?"

When I looked up, it was a tall man that was dressed in a lab gown-well, from my hunch, he should be the clinic doctor which Kale feared.

I glanced at Kale and saw him stiffened like a statue, it wasn't until the doctor spoke again, making Kale woke up from being petrified.

He nervously looked at the doctor and softly admitted. "E-En..."

"Then why didn't you come to visit my clinic?" The doctor coldly asked while staring at Kale who averted his insight.

"I-It's... I'm fine..." Kale nervously answered.

The doctor shook his head. "No, you're not." After that, he grasped his wrist and dragged him.

Just when I was about to stand up and help Kale to get away from the doctor who was dragging him to the clinic when suddenly I saw Kale helplessly shake his head at me, indicating that there was no need for me to. Then I saw him mouth at me. "I'm fine."

I looked at him with complicated eyes, together with the doctor who dragged him, and suddenly wondered about their relationship.

Either way, it doesn't matter. It's none of my business anyway. I should just focus on my business and not on others.

THIRD, 'S POV

In the Cresent Moon Pack, an Alpha who had killing intent, sitting on his throne viscously used his whip that was filled with thorn and used it to whip his failed subordinate, who howled in pain after receiving his punishment.

"YOU FAILED TO CAPTURE HER AND YOU STILL DARED TO COME BACK AND TELL IT TO ME IN MY FACE?!" The Alpha's voice was filled with anger as he whipped the failed subordinate again and again.

"P-Please... f-forgive me..." The subordinate weakly lay on the ground, his blue fur was painted wed and he was bathing with his blood, weakly trying to beg for his master's forgiveness.

The Alpha gritted his teeth in anger and he was filled with murderous intent again.

"Capture that woman! She must die before those i***t triplets would mark her!" The Alpha commanded his subordinates.

His subordinates who were on the stand-by, expressionlessly nodded their head as if they were used by their master's cruelness. "Roger that, Master."

The Alpha sneered. "If you can't easily capture her, then capture and use her weaknesses! See if that woman won't fall from despair!" After the Alpha said that, he let out a vicious smile.

He can't let that woman enter their pack nor be the Luna! He can't let that happen!

He must stop it at all costs even if it means involving an innocent person.
