YUNIFER'S POV

Before I could open the door and leave, I heard Knight calmly talk with a hint of seriousness behind his words.

"You should be careful in dealing with them, Luna. Witches aren't easy to mess with and they are the most cunning being that I have ever met. They are good at lying and pretending to. It will be bad if you get hurt in the process of dealing with them." I looked back and saw Knight, looking at me calmly with sincerity flared in his eyes.

I nodded my head. "Don't worry, I will."

Hearing that, Knight nodded his head and didn't bother anymore. After seeing that, I immediately opened the door and left the room.

When I got out of the room, I jolted and looked at the familiar figure that was standing in front of the room with a bit of shock in my eyes. "Lawrence, Drake, Ishid, what are you doing here?" I called out their names in surprise as they have this serious look plastered on their face. En, I know. For sure that these three were eating vinegar right now.

Before they could ask me why I wanted to meet Knight, I moved towards their direction and hugged them one by one as I started coaxing them. "Don't be jealous. I was just talking with Knight about witches. I immediately approached him after I found out that he had seen a real witch that's why out of curiosity, I went to meet him. That's all." I softly said while looking at them with a warm smile plastered on my lips.

When they heard my words, they snorted and kissed me one by one on my lips until they were satisfied.

"You could have just said it to us or commanded us to meet Knight so that we will be the ones who will do it for you. After all, you were the witches' target, and for sure that they won't stop until they would get what you wanted. It's very dangerous too. I know that you can fight and protect yourself, we don't also mean to let you stay in the mansion, but we don't want history to be repeated. Yunifer, wife, we are afraid to lose you again the same way that we almost lost you back then." Drake softly said while caressing my cheeks.

Lawrence also nodded his head and looked at me gently. "Besides, we still don't have the lead about witches and we can't find any traces left by the witches too. We still haven't known why those witches targeted you. It's very dangerous too especially since those witches are cunning and manipulative. They are good at disguising themselves, using the masks of others to fool the one they want to fool."

Drake also nodded solemnly while hugging my waist. "That's true. We can't let you get hurt or be caught by those witches again. We still don't know their purpose and I'm sure that they are up to no good. It would be better if these conflicts would be solved and they won't start pursuing you."

Hearing their words that filled me with worries, I couldn't help but feel warm all over at the same time, I was guilty of not consulting them first or not telling them about the matter that I found that Knight had seen a real witch.

I was too eager and wanted to finish all of this conflict. I wanted to find the culprit and the mastermind behind the scenes so I forgot that I shouldn't take things fast, rather I should take things slowly yet surely. I should make a plan and shouldn't be careless. It was my fault and I am aware of that. I shouldn't be rash when it comes to making decisions, especially since my life wasn't like before where I don't have to worry about anything, whether I would get hurt or get killed, it doesn't matter since no one will care for me or feel sad for me.

I was used to acting independently and wanted to take every one of my problems to deal with all by myself because I hate troubling others. I hate it when I bother other people.

But these three aren't other people. They are my family.

I raised my head and looked at the three of them and nodded my head.

"I know, I won't be reckless in the future. I should also mind myself and the people who cared for me. I'm sorry for being reckless and didn't take things so seriously, especially about my well-being." I softly said while looking at them with guilt.

Drake let out a sigh and patted my head. "It's fine. I hope that there won't be next time. Also, we are your husband's too so you can consult us if you have something you want to deal with. We are always here for you, willing to support you in anything that you want to do in the future. May it be exterminating the witches or not, we will be by your side and do it together with you."

Lawrence and Ishid nodded their heads with a smile on their faces, making me smile too.

Then suddenly, I remembered something.

"By the way, I feel that something isn't quite right here. I feel that someone was messing up with my memories to prevent me from remembering my past. Now, I could even hardly remember it no matter how hard I tried." I softly said while talking to them through our link while walking towards the mansion.

It would be dangerous if a spy would hear our conversation. After all, those witches are good at disguising themselves. Who knows how many witches managed to step foot inside our pack?

I wouldn't be surprised if that would happen, after all, one of the witches even managed to step foot at Havoc's mansion without even alerting Havoc and also by disguising themselves to lower the guard of their target.

However, my case was different because I was vigilant and sharp plus I was still thinking about the words that Sahara left at that time making me overthink things that's why when Kale appeared, at first I wasn't doubting him because he looked like Kale and act like Kale. The only thing I managed to find out was that he was fake and was an enemy who disguised himself as Kale, all because of his words.

But even if I raised my guard against him, he still managed to stretch me.

It means that these witches are well-trained and powerful.

They must be hiding and developing their strength all those years.

Just how deep is their hatred and anger for them to want to be stronger so much to the point that they wanted to kill those who were in their way?

What do they want other than me?

Do they want to dominate the world and kill all of the wolves and people who killed their family, their friends, their loved ones, their ancestors, and their fellow witches? Is this because of these things that's why they were buried with anger and wanted to take revenge?

But how come they targeted me? Why me? What do they want from me?

They even tried to erase the memories of my past. Does this mean that there is something in my memories that they are afraid of? That's why they targeted me and wanted to silence me to make sure.

Just thinking about all of that stuff made my head hurt. I massaged my temples and let out a heavy sigh.

I heard Ishid speak through mind-link with a calm voice yet behind his words was filled with doubt. "We still don't know the reason why they were obsessed with targeting you, but from what you said, it seemed that you know a big secret or something dangerous that could either backfire them or benefit them that's why they tried their best to make you forget about your past."

"But why now? They all have a lot of time to target me, especially when I was a child who was weak and helpless and even feared the so-called mother who abused a child. Why didn't they kill me or attack me when my guard was lowered and when I was weak? They could easily do that to get rid of me so that either their secrets would be sealed or something that they don't want the world to know, would remain buried underground." I calmly said while letting out a helpless sigh.

Hearing this, I saw their eyes darken for a second then it all replaced with softness and affection when looking at me.

"It's already a blessing that they didn't make a move on your especially when you were a child. Otherwise, we won't experience what happiness and love truly are. We just continue to hide our true selves behind our masks and be more cunning and manipulative people than any other beings met. After all, before we met you, we already have a blackened heart." It was Lawrence's voice that was overwhelmed with affection and gentleness. There was even a trace of warmth plastered on his face, much even warmer than before.

Drake and Ishid didn't say anything but their face was traced with affection and adoration. They just hummed at Lawrence's words, seemingly to be agreeing to Lawrence's words. Hearing this, a wave of heat rushed up like a tsunami that flashed on my cheeks.

I didn't even notice that my lips were curled up and there was a galaxy flashed in my eyes when looking at them.

I let out a soft chuckle as I kissed them one by one on their lips, making them chuckle as they held me towards the mansion where they lived.

Just when we were about to continue our lovey-dovey moments when suddenly, a shadow guard appeared in front of us and bow their head at the Ferrer Alphas.

The shadow guard didn't lift their head until the Alpha King told them to do so.

"You may rise." Drake coldly said while looking at them, then he added, "Report."

It was then that the shadow guard raised his head and emotionlessly report his findings like a robot.

"We've found ten humans and ten werewolves whose hearts were ripped off as their corpses turned pale and violet and their blood was drained."
