THIRD PERSON POV

Amid the night, there was someone who was dressed in dark clothes and had no emotion plastered on her lips while looking down at the being who was punished.

"I've already told you many times to be careful of your actions yet you're telling me that you just discarded corpses of your target and didn't even bother to hide or burn them?!" Its voice was heavy and cold while glaring at the subordinate. Before the subordinate could raise his head and beg for mercy, he was immediately burned on his spot, making the other who was watching the process with cold eyes. Their eyes dimmed as they clenched their fist while looking at the witch who burnt the subordinate.

"We will make sure to give you the best results. We will stir up trouble in the humans and werewolves' place." It was the one witch who was taller and broader yet she was a female who had a cold and seemed to have more strength hidden in her muscles. She even looked like someone who would take the initiative to lead the witch whenever the original witch leader wasn't there.

When the witch leader heard this, it slowly opened its eyes and glanced at the female witch with a smile.

"Then you take care of them and also burn the evidence left by that fool fellow of yours who doesn't know what care is. Who knows, those smart and brainy werewolves have discovered our traces and existence!" The witch leader snorted in dissatisfaction as its eyes slowly turned dark as an abyss out of anger.

When the witches saw their witch leader become like this, they immediately appease and soothe the witch leader.

After seeing that they managed to appease the witch leader, they let out a sigh of relief and then they bid their farewell to the witch leader before they set off to continue their path and destroy humanity.

ON YUNIFER'S side, she was still acting like a detective who was investigating the crime along with her fellow detectives.

Drake 'Detective' Ferrer, glanced at Yunifer as his eyes unconsciously revealed gentleness and affection while looking at Yunifer who was trying to endure her nausea at the same time, she wanted to find clues about the witches. It wasn't until she let out a heavy sigh that snapped back from reality.

"The witch who killed them is particularly clever and at the same time, a fool. They even erased their traces yet they didn't erase the traces of the corpses that could be easily identified it was done by the witches. I'm sure that the mastermind behind the scenes was probably angered to the point that it want to vomit blood. After all, they were trying to be low-key but this fool witch didn't even bother to cover up their crimes." Drake seriously analyzed while letting out a chuckle. A chuckle that was filled with mockery towards the witches.

When Yunifer heard this, her eyes lit up as her mouth curled up. She also laughed in mockery along with Drake and nodded her head.

"That's right. We should take a picture of these as a piece of evidence especially since we can't bring back these corpses since they were already rotten and filled with maggots. It would be best if we should burn them." Yunifer suggested while looking at the corpses. The corpses of innocent people.

Just by thinking about what the witches had done towards the innocent beings and even discarded the life of these people.

These witches don't have any measures when it comes to killing someone. As long as it can benefit them or if that person would get in their way, they would not hesitate to kill them mercilessly just like what they did to these poor souls.

The witches probably think that they should need to kill twenty of the maiden from each pack or town and used them as their stepping stones. They probably wanted to use these methods to alert the other people that there are kidnappings that had occurred in their area or probably they wanted to see the ruckus of those families who had their daughters lost or disappeared. Their goal probably wanted to use these kinds of methods to create trouble.

If the people were preoccupied with the event that their daughter disappeared or that maybe some of the villages know about it and would also be worried that their daughter would disappear too just like the other maidens.

In that way, they can easily get inside the village and enter the territory.

Much worse, the reason why they did those heinous things to those twenty maidens was that they wanted to disguise themselves as those maidens to find information, gather information, and slowly make their target lower their guards. They wanted to use their faces, their backgrounds, their names, and information to get inside the territory.

In that way, they could work openly. Plus, no one would hardly suspect them if they would ask some things especially if they are in women's clothing. What's more, they disguised themselves as a woman which made it more convenient for them to move rather than using a man's identity.

A hateful gaze appeared on Yunifer's face that can't be hidden. Her eyes were like blades whenever she would mention witches in her head.

Except for her grandma, she hated all kinds of witches in this world and wanted to take them down to let them pay for the things that they have done especially to these innocent and poor souls.

Seeing that their mood of Yunifer continues to get down, Lawrence, Ishid, and Drake looked at each other and they nodded their head at each other, communicating through their eyes.

Lawrence, who had a holy aura, to begin with, put a gentle smile on his face as his hand taught out and patted Yunifer's head, making Yunifer raise her head and looked at her with grievances which made them feel distressed upon seeing her this way. "Let's burn them okay and pray for their next life that they will have a good life." Lawrence softly said, making Yunifer purse her lips and nodded her head.

Ishid also softly patted Yunifer's shoulder as he added, "I think we should let the family of these twenty young maidens know about what happened to their daughters so that in that way, they would know even though it hurts. They deserve to know about what happened to their daughters no matter how hard it is for them to bear."

Drake also nodded his head and agreed with Ishid's words. "That's right. It would be better that way so that they can also be alerted if those witches would dare to pretend to be their daughters, get their heart and trust, and use it to gather the information that they wanted. We can't let them succeed like that and let these twenty young maidens who are supposed to have a bright future be wronged."

When Yunifer heard this, she immediately nodded her head and her face was filled with resolute na determination to tell the family of these twenty innocent young maidens who died in the hands of those loathsome witches who are wicked and cunning, who can mercilessly kill someone for the sake of their benefit without guilt.

"It would be better that way. However, we should burn their body first because who knows, those witches would come back to check on their body... wait..."

Yunifer seemed to realize something and glanced at the three of them before she smiled. "Let's not burn their corpse and let it stay here."

Hearing this, Ishid's brows furrowed as he tilted his head to the other side, looking confused about why Yunifer changed her mind.

Before Ishid could ask, it was Drake who figured out what Yunifer was trying to do, and was the one who explained it calmly.

"That would be a great idea. For sure that those witches would come back to erase their traces especially after they found out that their fellow witches didn't destroy the corpse. Besides, if we don't burn the corpse and let it remain here the same as before, it won't arouse suspicion from the witches and they won't think that we come here. Even if we did, they won't necessarily think that it's us since we masked our presence and even deliberately erase our traces."

Yunifer's eyes lit up as she looked at Drake and nodded her head. "That's right! Let's hurry now or else we might be seen by them! We should also contact the family of these twenty young maidens and told them about what happened to their daughter. We should also warn them about the witches too so that they won't easily be fooled by them."

Lawrence also nodded his head. "Plus if they won't believe us, we have evidence."

After he said that, he took out his phone that he used to capture every single detail of the corpse earlier.

Whenever Yunifer recalled the scene where Lawrence who became a photographer, still had a gentle smile despite that he was exposure to the rotten smell of the corpse yet he still endured and took a picture of the corpse without leaving even a single peak of details, Yunifer couldn't help but chuckle.

He wanted to live up to his nickname as Holy Father despite that his eyes looked like they wanted to give up from taking a picture of the corpse.

Yunifer looked at him with sympathy.

Lawrence, who could guess what she was thinking couldn't help but chuckle as he pinched her nose.

"Let's go now." Lawrence softly said with a smile, making them nod their head.

Before they went to the places where the young maiden's family live, they glanced at the Shadow Guard who was standing still and remained like a statue.

If they aren't mistaken, this Shadow Guard had been standing in the same spot without making it for almost half an hour.

The shadow guard only moved when he felt that they have done discussing.

He looked at them and politely bow his head and asked, "I'll lead you to the family of the victims."

Drake nodded his head. "En, you lead the way."

After he said that, the shadow guard immediately moved and left the place without leaving any traces behind, while the three of the Alphas along with the Luna, were also catching up on him.

They were also the same as him, they didn't leave any traces behind for fear that those witches would notice them.
