Awakened Love With Triplets Alphas -
Chapter 89
YUNIFER'S
POV
Lawrence had already nodded his head as he started running as fast as he could to get to the battlefield where his siblings were. Although he might not show it to his face, I know that he was also worried about the condition that Ishid had suffered on the battlefield.
I heard Lawrence speak while he was still carrying me in a bridal style while running. "So that was the reason why I felt restless earlier, it was because one of my siblings had been injured and it's trying to announce me through our bond as brothers." When I heard his words, I couldn't help but let out a heavy sigh. I suddenly regretted going to the witch leader's mansion and didn't even manage to convince her plus I also made it worse. Lawrence wasn't able to go to the battlefield earlier to save Ishid because he was guarding the forest and eliminating those witches who would dare to lay their hands on the three.
Plus I wasn't also able to lend my hands to my mates when they needed the most support. It was my responsibility as their Luna to aid them, help them, and support them. I should be there if they need help, but I wasn't.
I couldn't help but feel disappointed.
While going back to the battlefield, it seemed like Lawrence was able to hear and feel my emotions, and he immediately answered. "It wasn't your fault and none of this is your fault. You were just trying to help especially by convincing the witch leader so that that way, Natalie won't continue the war that she has on her mind but as the others say, we don't have control of what's happening around us and it just happened that Natalie doesn't want to listen to you. There are some things that we cannot control and it's normal so you don't have to feel bad."
I buried my face in his chest as I couldn't help but hug him. This was the first time that Lawrence had given me this kind of advice and it warmed my heart.
After we arrived at the battlefield or more like back to our country, our place, our town, and our village, my heart couldn't help but feel like it was being clutched by someone upon seeing the other buildings and houses were damaged plus there was also blood- stained in some other places.
Everywhere that you can see, there were dead bodies that were bathing in their blood, lying on the ground.
Some of the other families were howling from anger, pain, and mixed grievances that I couldn't explain as they hugged the dead body of their family.
"Curse those witches!" One of the people had said as she wiped away the tears that fell on her cheeks.
The other people who had heard her curse also nodded their heads as they also spoke. "Damn it! It was because of those goddamn witches that my beloved son had died! I wish that the Crescent Pack would kill them all as a payment for what they have done to our place, to our kind, and us!"
While they were cursing, I suddenly felt an enormous destructive aura that was coming onto me like a thunderbolt, making me feel alert even though Lawrence was also in his attack stance as he guarded me tightly.
It wasn't until I felt a familiar voice, speaking softly in my ears. "I never thought that you could easily find your way out of my place. I really should applaud you. I even forgot that you have her blood running down in your veins."
After she said that, she showed up in front of us with a relaxed guard while squinting his eyes at Lawrence who was coldly looking at her as he pointed his weapon at Natalie.
"Stay away from Yunifer." Lawrence coldly said when he saw that Natalie was very close to him that's why Lawrence wasn't able to attack Natalie immediately for fear that Natalie would use that chance to attack him.
Natalie just glanced at him before she glanced at me. "Anyway, just send this mate of yours to your other mates since they needed his help. While I need to talk to you about something."
When Lawrence heard that, his brows furrowed as he glared at Natalie. "There's nothing else that you can talk about with Yunifer. Just leave her alone."
Natalie, however still didn't mind him and instead, she was looking me in the eyes. "I changed my mind after you managed to find your way out of my mansion. If you can satisfy me with the information that you have related to Celine, I would command all of my witches to kill themselves."
When I heard that, I flinched. I stared at her and couldn't help but think that she was too cruel. Although those witches had done a lot of bad deeds it was all because they were being controlled by her.
It was as if Natalie could guess what was on my mind and she immediately replied. "Yes, although I controlled the majority of them all were on my side and wanted to exterminate the humans and werewolves because they think that if they did that, they will become the strongest species on this planet. Anyway, some of them are also psychopaths just like I and the majority of them wanted to die since they wanted to take a rest too. After all, they had been alive for decades but not as long as I am." When Natalie explained that, I couldn't help but furrow. Although I had already known that these witches are suicidal and they also have a witch leader who also did the same, still, I couldn't guess why they seemed to be tired of living and as if nothing could interest them anymore.
However, given their personality of Natalie, even if I would advise her, it won't still work since she had a head of a stone.
I squinted my eyes at her, trying to examine whether she was fooling around or lying to me, and it wasn't until I already made my decision.
I glanced at Lawrence, who looked at me in disbelief as if he couldn't help but feel surprised when he guessed about my decision.
His brows furrowed as he glared at Natalie. "Yunifer, you shouldn't let this woman take control of you and your decision. She was deliberately doing this to stall the time and if you would do this, can she guarantee that you won't get hurt nor would hurt you?" Natalie heard Lawrence questioning and said, "You don't have to worry too much because I won't hurt her. If she can satisfy my wishes about giving information related to my beloved, I will control my witches to kill themselves instead and since I won't die, I would just sleep for four decades straight. I can make a bloody contract with her later."
Although Lawrence wasn't still convinced about what the witch had said, after seeing that I already made the decision, he walked towards my direction and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me into his embrace as he kissed my lips before he whispered into my ears.
"You must take care of yourself and do not be fooled by that witch. You know that witches' are very cunning and she was the boss of all witches. Plus, I know that I can't change your mind related to this but you still have to be careful and don't do things impulsively." Lawrence carefully reminded me while his eyes couldn't hide his worries.
I smiled at him and patted his shoulder. "I know, I understand. I will take care of myself so you should too. Also, take care of your brothers and please remind them that they shouldn't do impulsive things in the future, especially Drake who was like a tyrant on the battlefield, killing witches."
Lawrence let out a soft chuckle and nodded his head. "I'll be going now."
After that, he already disappeared to the battlefield, leaving me alone with Natalie.
I turned my gaze at her and coldly asked. "What do you want to ask? Ask right away rather than dragging the conversation especially since your witches were killing my people."
"It's also the same with Drake who kept killing my subordinates," Natalie said as she snapped her finger, and a large comfortable chair, appeared while behind them was chaos. Natalie raised her brows at me and pointed to the chair. "Sit down."
I was left with no other choice but to sit as I also took the tea that she offered. Damn, this feels weird especially since our background was the battlefield.
I glanced at Natalie and couldn't help but said, "You seemed to be calm now."
Natalie chuckled after hearing what I said and nodded. "I know. I'm always like this so it's not shocking anymore. Anyway, what I wanted to ask is if what you said was true."
I looked at her and calmly sighed. "What I said to you was all true, after all, I can't lie when it's related to grandma nor use her name to tempt you because that would be disrespecting her."
Hearing what I said, Natalie fell into silence as she leaned on the back of the chair while looking at me.
"Did you meet Celine in your dreams?" She asked.
I nodded my head in answer. "Yes, I met her only once. It was the day after when she was killed by the Alpha King and I was also in a coma at that time because the previous Alpha King also managed to split my soul into two-well, rather he was aiming to kill me but grandma had saved me. After that, I fell into a deep slumber and before all of my memories were erased, she met me in my dreams and asked me for a favor to find you."
When I raised my head to look up at her, I saw her listening carefully and paying attention to every one of my details. The corner of her eyes was even wet.
"What favor did she ask?" This time, her voice was soft and it quivered slightly while looking at me with those hopeful gazes.
I couldn't help but feel guilty upon seeing her like this. I took out the necklace that I had been wearing ever since I became the child of Cilda and gave it to her.
