Betrayed By Everyone, Loved By Four -
Betrayed By Everyone Loved by Four Bonus Chapter 1
I can't believe it's been six months since we started college. Things have been going so well too. It's much different than high school that's for sure.
For starters, I have way more friends than I have ever had before. Lila and I get together once a week with a few of our friends from high school. The ones we met in the program I started. We call it our 'Speak The Truth' club.
At first it was only the few of us, but over time it grew. Almost like a whole new program, but for college. Honestly, I think it makes a lot of the freshmen feel safer. You always here horror stories of frat parties, or predators in college. I'm glad that we can give everyone a safe space to speak their truth.
Lila and I have been talking about putting up posters around the school to invite anyone who wants to come. A few of the other girls that we already knew agreed to help. Since we are all in college, we do get pretty busy. So, we are coming up with plans for us to rotate leadership.
College is a lot different than high school in the way that I do not get bullied in the slightest here. I'm not sure why I was expecting to be either. It's not like anyone here really knows me, and that was the problem in high school. Vanessa and James had put a target on my back, and that was what started the bullying in the first place. Now that I am somewhere completely different, surrounded by people who don't know me, no one cares. Literally no one. You know how adults are always saying that high school isn't a big deal, and how it won't matter once you're done?
Yeah, they were right. Everyone here are more concerned with other things. Mostly with school, obviously. College is a place to take knowlegde seriously. At least, for most people.
You have the frat boys that mostly care about partying too. Although, I don't get involoved with that mess. I try to stay away.
Like Leo would ever let me go to a frat party, even if I wanted to. And I do not want to. Partying was never my thing. It was different with my boyfriends, but I'm not really into the frat parties they throw here.
One of the girls that comes to Speak The Truth Club told us that one of the senior frat boys invited her to a party last year. It ended up being one of those, who can bring the uglest girl to the party, parties. How absolutely disgusting that someone can do that.
I remember being so angry when I went home that day. I begged Leo to find out who the guy is so that we could beat him up. All my boyfriends did was laugh at me, and distract me. The distraction was nice though.
Living with my boyfriends has been heaven. Every morning I wake up with all of them. Leo, Oliver, and I walk to school together. We always stop for coffee too.
Oliver and I have a similar schedule, so we are able to eat lunch together every day. Usually Leo is too busy rushing around to join us, but Oli and I pick him up from his building every afternoon. Then we walk home together.
Although, Leo has been having to stay later, and later lately. I know that more is expected from him considering who his father is. Adam also got Leo a TA position with one of his professors. Which takes up a lot of his time. Over the last three weeks Leo has came home after 8 p.m.
Oli's classes have been going great though. Along with my own. I even see that Oli has made friends of his own. Other little computer geeks. None as cute as my schoogems though.
Atlas has been doing great as well. His culinary schooling is going wonderfully. Atlas even makes us all lunches every day, and dinner of course. Usually we are just on our own for breakfast. Except on the weekends.
I can tell that Atlas loves everything about the culinary arts. He comes home so excited every time that he accomplishes something. If he ever fails, he only comes home to practice until he gets it right. I am so proud of him, and so happy that he found something he loves to do.
Milo has been struggling the most out of all of us though. His school is on the opposite side of town from us. At first I thought Milo was just a little upset that he couldn't see us all day. I think that is still partly it, but... I think he is mostly struggling with all the classes.
It seems that schooling to become a doctor is a lot more than Milo anticipated it to be. He is swamped most of the time. Milo also doesn't make it home until late. Not as late as Leo, but usually after 6 p.m. Then Milo works on his homework for hours. Honestly, I'm so proud of him for working so hard. Milo isn't stupid, but he was never one for school work. I see how hard he is working to do well. He even helps out at the hospital his mom works at on the weekends.
I'm proud of all of them, but.. I'm also sad. I feel like we never spend time together anymore. Not all of us anyways. We are all just so busy. I knew that this would happen once we started college. It was most of the reason that we all wanted to move in together. I guess I just thought we would still be spending time together.
"Mil, what are you thinking so hard about?"
I looked up from my notebook to see Lila smiling at me. Right now we are sitting in our only class together. It's our Bio class, my favorite. I look forward to this class every day.
"Nothing." I mumbled as Lila sat down next to me.
"Thinking about the guys again?" Lila asked.
I turned my head to give her a small smile.
"You know me so well." I said.
Before Lila could say anything else, the professor called me.
"Ameilia, could you come here for a second please." Professor Homak asked.
I nodded as I stood up.
Professor Homak is my all time favorite teacher ever. She is a hard ass that takes no shit, smart as all hell, and strict. Although, the professor loves me. I think it's because I take the most interest in this class.
I walked up to Professor Homak, and gave her a smile. There is a boy my age standing next to her that I've never seen before. He's tall, about Leo's height, with dark brown eyes, and dark brown curly hair. The boy gave me a wide smile showing his dimples. I gave him a small smile in return.
"Ameilia, this is my nephew Tristan. He just transferred here. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind tutoring him until he can get caught up. I can't speak for your other subjects, but you are my best student." Professor Homak said.
Tutor this guy? I don't think I have the time.. Or that my boyfriends would like that very much.
"Uhm, I'm honestly not sure if I have a lot of free time.." I said softly.
Professor Homak stared me right in my eyes. Damn, she is intimidating.. Another thing I admire about her.
"If you two can find the time I would appreciate it. These are the kinds of atributes I look for in a TA." The professor said.
My eyes went wide.
"Wait, really?" I asked.
Professor Homak nodded.
"I like you Ameilia, and my TA will be graduating this year. Make a good impression this year, and you could be my youngest TA yet." She said.
My jaw hung open as I thought about what to say.
"Uhm, okay, sure. Maybe we can figure something out." I said.
"Good. Tristan, sit with her today, watch how she takes note." Professor Homak said.
I returned to my seat with Tristan in tow. I introduced him to Lila after we sat down. Then I pulled out my past notes to give to Tristan.
"I really appreciate you doing this for me." Tristan whispered to me.
"No problem." I said with a smile.
Tristan looked me up and down, then leaned in closer to me.
"I'm so happy that my tutor is so cute." He said teasingly.
Oh no.
