Betrayed By Everyone, Loved By Four -
Betrayed By Everyone Loved by Four Bonus Chapter 2
"So, we should probably talk about what works best for you, yeah?" Tristan asked.
Class just ended. Lila and I are packing up to head out. This is our last class for the day.
"Well, I do have plans right no-"
My sentence was interrupted by the vibrating in my pocket. I pulled my phone out to see who's calling me. It's Oli.
"Hey baby." I answered happily.
"Hey angel. Would you be upset if I went out with the guys from the robotics club? They want to show me what they're working on." Oli asked. My face fell.
"Oh, yeah no problem Oli. Leo and I can walk home together." I said.
"Uh.. About that..." Oli trailed off.
Oh no.
"Leo's professor has him doing some things. He sent us all a text saying he would be home late again." Oli told me.
"Oh.." Was all I said.
I hadn't checked my phone because of class. Although, I should have guessed it. This seems to be the new norm for Leo.
"Okay, well I hope you have fun." I said cheerfully.
I don't need any of them worrying about me. As much as I love being around them all, they deserve to have their own lives. Oli has been so happy lately with his new group of friends. I don't want to get in the way of that. "Okay angel. I'll see you later tonight. I love you." Oli said.
"I love you too." I replied.
Then Oli hung up. I held in the sigh I wanted to let out, as I looked up at Tristan. He gave me a wide smile letting his dimples poke out.
"Looks like I have some time right now." I said.
"Great! Should we go back to my dorm room?" Tristan asked.
I narrowed my eyes at him.
"How about the library." I stated.
"Awh, worth a shot." Tristan said.
I turned to face Lila. She has a brow raised at me. Maybe I should invite her. That way Tristan and I aren't alone.
I'm not worried that anything will happen, but I doubt that any of my boyfriends would be happy to see me alone with another boy.
"Lila, you should come with us." I said.
"Kay." She replied.
"Dope. Two hot chicks tutoring me." Tristan said with a wink.
Lila and I exchanged a look while Tristan stood up.
"Listen Tristan-" I started, but was interrupted.
"|
I gotta stop by my dorm room real quick. Can I meet you guys at the library?" Tristan asked.
"Uh, yeah I guess." I said.
"Sweet. See you lovely ladies in a bit." He said before jogging out of the room.
Lila and I shared another look, and then stood up from our table. We walked out of the classroom. The two of us had only made it a few feet before Lila started talking. "He winked at us." She stated.
"Yup." I replied.
"He called us hot chicks." Lila said.
"Mhmm." I hummed out.
"He's flirting with us Mil." She said.
"I guess so." I replied.
Lila whipped her head to me as we continued to walk through campus.
"You guess so? That's all you have to say?" She asked incredulously.
I rolled my eyes at her.
"What do you want me to say Lila?" I asked her.
"Uh, tell him to fuck off. You have four boyfriends that will all kill him if he doesn't keep his eyes to himself." She said.
"And what about you?" I asked her.
"Oh, I will definitely be telling him about Caleb. And to stop flirting with me." She said.
I sighed. "I will do the same, I promise." I told her.
"Why are we tutoring him again? Is that what Professor Homak wanted to talk to you about?" Lila asked.
I nodded.
"Yeah, she said he's her nephew. At first I told her I didn't have the time, but then she pretty much told me that if I can manage this with everything else, I could be her new TA next year." I told Lila. My best friend gasped. Lila stopped to grab my arm. Then she started jumping up and down.
"Oh my god! Millie! That's great news! You know what they say about Professor Homak, and how much of a hard ass she is. They say that she never pays the freshmen attention." Lila said.
I gave her a wide smile.
"I know." I said excitedly. "She said I would be her youngest TA ever."
"That's so exciting!" Lila said equally as giddy.
"Yeah I know." I said as we started walking again. "I just have to be good at managing my time."
"That shouldn't be too hard for ya right?" Lila asked.
"Not with how busy the guys seem to be." I said sadly.
"Awh, still bad?" Lila asked.
I shook my head.
"I won't say bad, because it's wonderful that they are all finding their way, but... Leo and Milo are always coming home so late, just to do homework. Atlas is constantly cooking, and when he isn't, he's working out. And Oli found new friends." I whined out. God, I sound so awful.
"I'm really happy for all of them. I really am. I just miss them. I feel like I see them all separately more than all of us together. And on top of that, I feel like I only see them in the mornings when we are all leaving. I get dropped off at class, then don't see them until late hours." I ranted.
I ran a hand down my face as I groaned.
"I probably sound so awful to you." I said.
"No, not at all." Lila replied. "Caleb and I have our own struggles too. I wish that he could be here. I miss him. I know how you feel a little." She said.
"Oh Lila, I am so sorry. I wasn't even thinking about what you must be going through being so far from Caleb." I said.
"No don't be." Lila said with a wave of her hand. "I just wanted you to know that you aren't alone. Things will smooth out. It might take a few years, but eventually we'll all be out of school right?" She said hopeful.
Yeah, years from now. Although, I don't think that I should say that. Lila is trying to look at the brighter side of things. I should do that too.
"You're right." I said confidently.
"Of course I am." Lila stated.
I rolled my eyes at her again as I giggled.
Lila and I chatted about happier things as we made our way to the library. We picked a random table, and sat down. The two of us started to pull our homework out. I have a huge paper in creative writting class due on Monday, and it is Friday. "Hey ladies, hope you didn't have to wait too long."
Lila and I looked up at the same time to see Tristan sit down. Tristan set down three bottles of iced coffee, and pulled out his chair. He sat down, and pushed the coffees towards us.
"Wasn't sure what you guys like, but I know I need coffee. You two pick first." He said.
Lila happily snatched the carmel one. I reluctantly grabbed the mocha one. Tristan smiled as he took the last one.
"So, where should we get started?" He asked.
"How about with some clarification." Lila said.
Tristan raised a brow at her.
"I have a boyfriend. So cut the flirty shit." Lila stated.
Tristan's eyebrows shot up for a moment. Then his face fell into a smirk. Lila frowned at him.
"Got it." Tristan said. "Guess just flirting with Ameilia then." He said.
My eyes went wide.
"Uh no. I am taken as well." I said.
Tristan kept his smirk.
"That's too bad." He said.
I shrugged at him.
"Anyways, let's go over what subjects you need to catch up on most."
