Oliver's P.O.V.

**

"David." Millie's mom Betty turned to glare at her husband.

"How could you say that to her?"

David shook his head.

"I didn't mean to say that last part, I just-" He tried, but Betty cut him off.

"You just nothing!" She seethed. "Now come on, we need to have a private talk with our daughter."

The two of them got up. I can see in Leo's eyes that he wants to go too. His need to protect Millie has intensified since we all decided to keep this baby. Thankfully, he didn't go with them though.

"So." Darla said breaking our awkward silence. "Who needs a drink?" She asked as she walked to the kitchen.

"How could you all let this happen?" Sarah asked angrily.

"We didn't let it happen." Milo said.

"Yeah, it just did." Atlas added.

"It doesn't matter anyways." Leo said. "It's happening."

Thank god he started to come around.

When Millie slapped those two tests down on our kitchen table, I knew what they were. I didn't need to see them for confirmation either. It was pretty clear based off of her attitude that day that they were positive.

I had never felt so happy in my entire life. We definitely hadn't been being too safe. I never really thought about actually having a kid before though. It was something that I knew I would man up, and deal with if it ever happened, but..

When we went to Millie's first ultrasound appointment, it was a done deal for me. I already wanted our baby. A life that we all created together, but seeing that little bean on the black and white screen.. It was hands down one the happiest moments of Listening to that little fast heart beat was a cherry on top too. Our perfect little family. I have family. A kid. I'm having a kid.

I'm going to be a dad.

This relationship is turning out to be something that I would have never guessed. It seems like just yesterday that we were figuring out what we wanted. That it wasn't so long ago that we were trying to convince Millie just to take a chance on us. Now we're going to have a baby.

Adam sighed as he ran a hand through his hair.

"What does this mean for you future then? How are you going to make this work? You and Milo have years left of school." He said.

"Yeah, but I don't." Atlas chimed in. "I'm going to work quit my job once the baby is born. Then I'm going to work evenings and nights a personal chef." He said.

Jen scoffed.

'Personal chef? You make it sound easy. Like you can just snap your fingers, and gain a clientel." She said.

"Atlas has already been gathering a clientel." I piped up.

"His boss has sent a few families his way. Not to mention all the connections he has due to his parents." I offered.

"I've already beening cooking for a few of them. Trying to pull in some extra money before the kid gets here." Atlas said.

Jen just stared at him for a moment.

"Well, I guess you have that figured out. What about the rest of you? What about Millie?" She asked.

Darla came back in with a fifth of brown liquor in her hand.

She sat down, pouring some for all of the parents. Leo frowned at her when she didn't offer any for us.

"Milo, you won't be able to volunteer at the hospital once this baby is born. Who is Millie's OB? Switch her over to my department. I'll be delivering my grandbaby. I heard that Allas has a plan. I assume that you all do as well?” Darla said. Darla has always been our biggest supporter. Through our relationship. Our sexuality. The Holly crap. The James crap.

Living together. And now this.

"I did plan to stop volunteering. Millie is due in the beginning of June. She's been seeing Dr. Solma in-" Milo started to explain, but Darla interrupted him.

"In the building across from the hospital?" She asked.

Milo nodded.

"No, that won't do. When is your next appointment?" She asked.

"Well, Dr. Solma hasn't been doing much for her. We found out right before the holidays. She pretty much deemed Millie not high risk, and went on vacation. She's only had one ultrasound. Her next appointment is next week." Milo said irritated. I know that Milo has been dying to tell his mom. He almost told her behind Millie's back. Milo knew that Millie's OB wasn't taking her very seriously. Millie is past her third trimester. She should be getting more tests done. Milo has been furious about it. "Well, her appointment will be with me now." Darla stated.

Milo nodded with a smile on his face.

"Thanks Mom." He said.

"So, what are your plans then?" Sarah asked.

my

life.

"Atlas will be home with the kid all day. When Oli and Millie are done with classes they'll come home. Milo and I will be taking turns getting up at nights. After next year my program will end. I can start bringing cases home instead of staying at the school." Leo said. "What about the tutoring thing you do, or Millies TA position?" My mom asked.

"We talked to our study group about it. We started doing it at our apartment now. Millie's friends from her SA group are going to come those days too. That way there will be a lot of people there. We can take turns studying." I said.

"It's not like you or Millie need to study a lot." Milo muttered.

"What about money? We promised to help out while you were in school, but." Derek said.

I sighed.

This was our biggest problem.

Atlas cleared his throat.

"We have a plan for that." He said.

"You do?" Henry asked him.

"Well, it's more of a proposal." I said.

My dad raised a brow at me

"A proposal?" He asked.

I nodded, but Leo was the one to speak.

"We would like to keep the deal we have with you already." Leo said. "You pay for our apartment, food, and allowance like you have been. We all finish school."

"All of the work I do will pay for the baby." Atlas said. "When Oli and Millie graduate, they can get jobs, and you won't have to worry about it anymore." He said. "You want us to keep paying for your lifestyle?" Adam asked incredulously.

"Why not? You have been." Leo said.

"And we've been doing great." Milo added. "I know that this is unexpected. We should have been more careful, but..

This is how things are now. Whether you guys like it or not.

We all came up with a plan. If you guys don't want to help us anymore... Then we will figure it out." He said confidently.

Darla waved her hand in the air dismissively.

"Oh relax. We will help in any way that we can." She said.

See what I mean? Biggest supporter.

"I'm home all day alone doing nothing now Oli." Mom told me. "I can come, and babysit whenever you like. So don't worry about daycare ever." She said. I smiled at her.

"Thanks Mom."

"Well, I for one am excited to be a grandpa." Henry said happily.

Jen rolled her eyes.

"Of course you are. You only begged me for five more children." She said.

"I still can't wrap my head around this, but.. I can't wait to hear those baby giggles." Sarah said.

"And the little baby smell." Mom gushed.

"I wonder what the baby will look like." Darla said.

"I guess it wouldn't be so bad to add onto the family." Dad said.

Derek just shook his head.

"You all better stay in school. You better have good grades.

And you better get jobs the day you graduate." Adam said.

"Got it." Milo said.

Adam sighed as he leaned back in his seat.

"I'm going to be a grandpa." He breathed out.

"And I'm going to be an uncle!" Caleb said excitedly.

I almost forgot they were here.

"I can't wait to be an auntie." Lila giggled.

Adam narrowed his eyes at his daughter.

"You aren't pregnant, are you?" He asked.

Lila shook her head as she laughed

"No daddy, I am not." She said

"Should we start taking bets on if it's going to be a boy or a girl? I can do the testing when I see Millie next week." Darla offered.

"Oh, we're definitely having a girl." Milo said with an eye roll.

"Why do you say that?" Mom asked.

"We are not having a girl. It's a boy. Has to be a boy." Leo said.

Milo smirked.

"That's why." He said.

I chuckled.

"I also think it's a girl." I said.

"Girl." Atlas agreed.

"I think it's gonna be a boy." Caleb added.

"Girl." Lila said.

"Boy." Adam.

"Boy." Henry.

"I don't really care either way." Derek

"Girl." Dad.

"Boy." Darla.

"Boy." Sarah.

"Girl." Mom.

We all looked to Jen for her guess.

"I don't know. Boy I guess." She said.

Just then Millie and her parents walked back into the room.

Betty and David took their seats. Millie stopped in front of Leo, who pulled her into his lap. She looks way better with that beautiful smile across her face.

"What are we talking about?" Millie asked.

Darla poured Betty and David a drink while she answered.

"Just betting on if it's a boy or girl."
