Billionaire's Regret
Chapter 32:

"I have to go,"

Annie rose to her feet with a surprising agility that left him stunned with her apparent beauty. That long hair of her wrapped around her like the fur coat she wore last night in her height of passion.

Lord, she is gorgeous, he thought with absolute pleasure. Looking at her now he can see the untamed wildness that was absolutely sensual. She looked like a frightened cat in conflict whether she took flight or purr and curled up beside him. "Why are you looking at me like you have worn a prize?"

Annie intended her voice to be harsh but to her own ears she heard how vulnerable and full of longing she sounded. She found herself in conflict wanting to run or curled up beside him and allowed him to wrapped her again in his warmth. Each time she was around her husband she was in conflict. It's very clear something was missing again with him and just like the past she can't tell him. He must remember on his own. "Annie, talk to me, did I do wrong by loving you?"

Aaron stood up wrapping the blanket around his lower torso, suddenly wondering whether his gypsy was regretting giving him her body. It was a stunning shock than realizing an absolute gift of trust when he realized how responsive she was. "I..."

Annie couldn't focus her mind nor keep her eyes of the perfection of his male body. He was the very sight of strength and male beauty. That gorgeous body was wrapped around her last night. In daylight now they clearly were a mismatch. The truth seared her mind.

"Annie,"

Aaron stepped closer reaching out to touch her. Wanting to resist but unable to she went into his arms, hers circling around his neck, her eyes closing for that first morning kiss. Fear kept lingering just at the edge of her mind that rejection. The kiss was tender, sweet and or so stirringly passionate. Annie felt herself newly melting into his embrace. She simply found him irresistible.

"Don't run from me, love, I am not sure but you belong with me."

Aaron whispered the words against her kissed brushed lips. Somehow asking her not to run makes her opened her eyes wide. He saw the fear and grief that slipped into those eyes that was already etched onto his memory and into his heart. He just knew he won't ever be whole with another woman.

Annie seemed to have spoiled him forever, he already realized. He stood open-mouth down in the living room while he watched his girl take flight. The tingling of the bells was at last shut away when the door swallowed the sounds. What did I do wrong? His mind was burning with the question. The only one who can answer him just run like her life depended on. He was a hard driven man who dealt with any problem that comes his way but he should find ways to understand the woman who caught him. One moment passionate fire than that fear...why?

Rubbing his face while he keeps trying to figure out the possible reason for that fear and why was there such sadness with the blink of an eye

"Annie Black, who are you gypsy?" the questioned echoes in the room unanswered.

Annie sat naked on her bed; her shaken legs had barely carried her to the bed when she had taken flight. Her body shook with a various mixture of emotions she didn't want to face but know in her heart ignoring won't help that easily anymore.

She was loved completely last night. He didn't say the words but his body had worshipped hers like he just discovered himself the pleasures of the flesh. There was no fear no uncertainty in his arms just the most natural need to become whole with him again. She did see the flashes of curiosity but passion driven any doubts away.

She was again all women her full sensual and kissed bruised lips twisted in a smile that left her face serene. She looked up and caught sight of her in the mirror and what she saw stunned her. Even admitting it to herself she can't believe what she was seeing. She was gorgeous. Then why did you take the coward's way out? She questioned herself mentally. He made you whole, why did you take flight? The question burned within her chest, "Never forget the mantra that carried and kept you safe from hurt for lonely years. Fear is my lover, fear is my friend and fear is my protector." She said to herself but her voice somehow wasn't so much attached to it, there was definite lacking of conviction. Aaron knocked softly on the door. Instinctively he just knew if he doesn't follow his heart he would regret this.

"Annie...may I come in?"

She just looked at the door like a disaster would enter. She had the instinct to hide but somehow her body parts refused to work. Wide-eyed she just watched the door, praying it won't open but also furiously hoping it would. "Annie..."

He received no answer but he can't shake the feeling he shouldn't leave. If he did he will regret it. He really needed to see her but at the same time he didn't want to invade her privacy. "Annie, I am coming in."

He opened the door finding to his surprise it wasn't locked just shut. He stopped breathing when he caught sight of her sitting there looking so vulnerable, her eyes filled with fear, something raw was gnawing at her. "Annie?"

He closed the door and moved fast kneeling in front of her. He took hold of her hands finding them cold. He instantly tried to warm her. His touch was sending tremors after tremors through her being. "I am afraid,"

Annie voiced the statement while she stood in one fluent movement with Aaron who joined in like they were joined together as one.

"Why do you say that, love?"

She avoids looking him in the eyes as she slipped her hands free and vanished into the en-suite bathroom.

Aaron had watch her go but he has no intention of leaving her bedroom but then common sense told him to give her a bit of time and space. Let her choose to come to him. He was frightened though, he mustn't lose sight of her. "Yes, I won't force her in anyway," he said to himself out loud, leaving the bedroom he went down to the beach.
