Chapter 618 Entering The Corridors

Finally, the fierce battle came to an end. Tobias, Duncan, and other Golden Rhino warriors were all killed.

Duncan was not able to beat Terrence when the latter had used all his strength. The reasons for this were obvious. Firstly, Terrence had way better blood power than Duncan. And secondly, Terrence had learned far more from Killing Swordsmanship than Duncan had from the Golden Enlightenment. Besides, Duncan didn't have a mutant like Tobias did.

Soar's power had greatly improved after he absorbed the Enlightening Fruit. When he used his complete strength, sparing nothing, Keith could only resist his attack for a short while.

Thus, all the schemes of the Golden Rhino tribe were destroyed by Ricky and his fellows with their exceptional skills and strengths.

It was not until they finished the battle and checked the huge dead bodies lying on the ground that they finally sighed with relief.

"Soar, put away the four dead Golden Rhinos. We can enjoy the roasted whole rhinos after we get out of here," Ricky said with a faint smile on his face as he sat on the ground in a cross-legged position.

"Haha... understand, Ricky. We must make full use of the meat of these spiritual king beasts," Soar responded to Ricky with a grin. Then he picked up and put away all the dead Golden Rhinos right away as Ricky had requested.

"Ricky, are you okay?" Terrence asked. His worry was apparent in his voice as he waited for Ricky's answer with bated breath.

His tension was understandable because he could sense that Ricky's breath was weaker and less stable. He wondered if the foundation of Ricky's martial arts had been affected during the intense battle. Terrence was right. "Ricky, first of all, I think you'd better enter the Enlightening Corridor with Samson. There is the purest enlightening energy in the Enlightening Corridor, which will help you and Samson recover a lot more quickly,” Terrence suggested.

"Okay. I hope the enlightening energy in the Enlightening Corridor will not disappoint me,” Ricky said, chuckling. "We'd better not lose any time. You should enter the Martial Corridor as soon as possible. Let's meet again when the four corridors merge.”

Then without any hesitation, Ricky entered the Enlightening Corridor alone, while Soar, Terrence and others entered the Martial Corridor.

Inside the Enlightening Corridor, there were spiraling dark spaces, like the densely distributed stars in the universe.

The moment Ricky entered the Enlightening Corridor, he felt as if the pores all over his body got relaxed. It was as if he was bathed in the purest water in the Enlightening Pond.

The feeling was so incredible yet so real. Ricky felt like all the after-effects in his body were completely removed and his strength came back to its peak state.

Just as I had expected, the Enlightening Corridor is by no means a common one. I can feel the most pristine and purest enlightening energy here. After practicing here for some time, I will recover from all the after-effects, * Ricky thought to himself, overwhelmed with emotion.

"Tina, you'd better get out and practice here for some time as well," Ricky urged Tina.

"Ricky, this is definitely a great opportunity. But I will not be able to make any improvement as long as the evil spirit is not eliminated from my body," Tina sighed.

"That damn evil spirit!" Ricky shouted resentfully when he heard Tina's response.

"Ricky, please don't be mad. I feel like I've recovered a lot with your help and I am very grateful to you for removing part of the evil spirit for me," Tina reassured Ricky with a smile.

"Tina, I have a feeling that my comprehension of devouring energy will surely deepen when I become a middle spiritual king. I think I can remove the evil spirit from your body in a more effective manner then," Ricky replied seriously.

"Ricky, I don't need anything else as long as you're by my side. I won't be afraid even if the evil spirit will stay in my body till I die,” Tina said softly with shyness dripping from her voice.

Taking this opportunity, she demurely confessed her affection towards Ricky.

Ricky was dumbstruck by her confession. After being dazed for a while, he stuttered, "T-Tina, I...I don't know...”

"Ricky, I know who you're falling in love with but I will wait. I want nothing more but to have a tiny place in your heart," Tina interrupted Ricky before he could finish his sentence.

Ricky fell silent on hearing Tina's words.

He really didn't know what to say to her. He had to admit that Tina did occupy a very special place in his heart. In fact, her place in his heart seemed unshakeable and he had unknowingly started depending on her unconditionally.

However, he couldn't deny that Grace and another girl also had pieces of his heart at the same time. 'l sure am fickle-minded, right?’ Ricky thought, laughing at himself.

'Or should I act according to Soar's advice? He did say that a man was supposed to have many women.

"What the hell am I thinking about?" Ricky mumbled, shaking his head to get out of this loop of thought that he was getting into.

"What are you thinking about, Ricky?" Tina asked curiously when she saw that Ricky lost in his thoughts.

"Well, it's nothing important!” Ricky answered hastily.

The two of them stopped talking about this topic.

After having this awkward conversation with Tina, Ricky took Samson out of the Chaotic Fire Zone. He used the enlightening energy to wake Samson up, letting him recover in the Enlightening Corridor as well.

Of course, he told Samson what had happened in detail

since the latter lost consciousness.

After that, Ricky and Samson practiced and recovered together in the Enlightening Corridor. It was obvious that their strength was increasing constantly, which proved how strong the value of the Enlightening Corridor was.

After both of them recovered completely, Ricky and Samson shifted to the Martial Corridor.
