Captivation: Want Nothing But You -
Chapter 1377
Why is he being kept in such a manner? Did you even ask a doctor to check his wound? How on earth do you expect him to answer your questions?”
“Master, I can’t believe that you are accusing us falsely,” Dewayne said to him.
“There is a doctor watching him in the next room.
If he finds anything unusual, he will come with immediate effect.”
“Well, if you say so.
When did you bring him here?” Hector asked.
“Between eight and nine o’clock.”
“That means you’ve had him locked up for over two hours.
And all you’ve offered him is some water.
Don’t you think you ought to have given him something to eat since you brought him here?” Hector asked with a frown.
“Master, we haven’t eaten either.” Dewayne touched his nose faintly.
He got up early in the morning and hadn’t even tasted a drop of water.
Hector didn’t seem to care about that.
He cast a cold glance at him and asked, “He is a patient, isn’t he? Are you one as well?”
Dewayne was at a loss for words.
After being quiet for a few seconds, he finally said, “I’ll ask someone to buy some porridge.”
“Alright, go ahead,” Hector grabbed the doorknob and opened the door while he spoke.
“You should go and buy it yourself.”
Dewayne was about to take out his mobile phone to send a message to his subordinate when he heard this.
He stopped what he was doing.
It was quite obvious that Hector wanted to have a private conversation with Victor.
After pausing briefly, Dewayne asked, “That’s fine with me.
I’ll buy it.
Master, have you had anything to eat? How about I get you some porridge too?”
“That won’t be necessary.
I’m good.
Just hurry up.” Before Dewayne could say another word, Hector entered the interrogation room and closed the door.
In the room
“You brat! You’ve been as stubborn as a mule for many years.
I don’t know who you take after.” Hector scolded Victor.
“Mr.
Brown.” Victor called out the moment he caught a glimpse of the man.
His voice was hoarse.
Hector scoffed as he pulled out a chair and set his cane aside before taking a seat.
“I see that I was wrong to think that you’ve forgotten about me.
For many years, you haven’t come to see me once.”
Instead of saying something, Victor coughed.
His face turned a shade paler.
Heaving a heavy sigh, Hector continued, “Look at yourself! If your grandmother knew about this, it would definitely break her heart.
Had she known that you wouldn’t take good care of yourself, she wouldn’t have saved you back then!”
Victor’s eyes drifted to the floor, still unable to say a word.
Seeing him that way made Hector even more upset.
