Captivation: Want Nothing But You -
Chapter 1450
Wallace was eerily calm as he narrated his horrifying tale.
“I should tell you her name.
Maybe you’ve heard of her.
Well, even if you don’t, it doesn’t really matter.”
Rachel stayed quiet, but she was staring at him as if she wanted to lunge at him.
She looked far from intimidating, however, as her face was still pale.
“This is a secret no one should know, but you’re dying already.
Even if I tell you this secret, you won’t be able to spread it to anyone.
I think you deserve an explanation, so I’ll tell you now.
You’ve heard about the Red Hackers, right? That means you also know about the King of Hearts.
Well, that person was my fiancee.
Surprised? Yes,
I killed the famous King of Hearts.
And like her, I must kill you as well.”
Wallace paused, but when he spoke again, his tone became gloomy.
“To be honest, I cherish talented people Like you.
But I can’t allow you to live any longer.
You know too much.
I’ll never let you threaten me.”
He let go of Rachel, stood up, and grabbed the coat on the hanger.
“Enjoy your last moments here.
Don’t worry.
Just endure it for ten more minutes.
Soon, your pain will vanish, and you will take your last breath.”
With that, Wallace put on his coat and his mask and walked out of the room.
The door created a creaking sound before it slammed shut.
The whole room fell into silence.
Rachel, who had been paralyzed on the sofa, closed her eyes for a moment.
When she opened them again, the despair and pain swirling in her orbs just a few seconds ago were gone.
“Amazing! Your acting is amazing! If I didn’t know better, I’d really thought you were dying,” Quintin exclaimed.
“It’s too bad you didn’t enter the entertainment industry.”
Rachel stared at the glass she had drunk from with vacant eyes.
“Have you destroyed it?” she asked.
“Yes.
Everything in the U disk was gone the moment that bastard walked out of the room,” Quintin replied smugly.
Then, his eyes grew dim.
“I had no idea he would use poison and try to kill you.”
Contrary to Quintin, who was gritting his teeth in indignation,
Rachel remained calm.
She showed no sign of agitation despite being subjected to such cruelty.
She was also not surprised that Wallace tried to pull off the same thing.
Killing people was like a drug.
It was addictive.
