Captivation: Want Nothing But You -
Chapter 1463
After hearing the beep sound, Wallace looked at the screen of his phone and sighed in relief.
He then pressed the button for the thirty-second floor.
He caressed the U disk that was in his pocket and then smirked.
With a satisfied sigh, Wallace leaned against the handrail of the elevator and thought of the woman he had seen in Valmead Club.
She looked so miserable and hurt lying on that sofa.
When he saw her for the first time, he avoided looking into her eyes because they reminded him so much of Shelia.
He also came to discover that she was tough and most of all headstrong, just Like the dead Shelia used to be.
After his time with Shelia, he knew that he couldn’t control the woman.
The only thing left to do was to get rid of her.
He had worked too hard and sacrificed a lot to be where he was today.
He couldn’t afford to repeat what happened four years ago.
Wallace closed his eyes and clenched the U disk in his hand.
“You caused this! It’s all your fault.
Why did you have to look like her?” he murmured under his breath and shook his head.
He was comfortably waiting when suddenly the elevator shook abruptly and made a strange sound.
The lights in the elevator went out.
Before he could understand what was going on and try to get himself out, the screen above the elevator’s button went off and a piercing alarm sounded.
Wallace gulped and looked around in the darkness.
What the hell just happened?
Wallace grabbed the handrail in a death grip and tried to find the security button.
When he finally found it, he pressed hard on it and shouted into the intercom, “Hello? Anybody there?”
He held his breath and waited for long seconds, but nothing came.
ALL he heard was silence.
“Hey! The elevator has stopped! Can anyone hear me? Someone help! Can anybody help me? Hello? Anyone, please…”
Wallace shouted relentlessly into the intercom and even started hitting the wall, but still, he got no response, not even a little sign.
He finally realized that the intercom was also broken.
Wallace held his chest and tried to calm down.
How was anyone going to find out that the elevator was stuck with someone in it? Even if they did, how long was it going to take?
As an idea suddenly crossed his mind, Wallace quickly fished out his phone.
He sighed in relief when he saw that it had a signal.
It was weak, but it was something.
It was hope to get out of the damned elevator.
Without wasting any more time, he searched his assistant’s number and called.
If he could get to his assistant, then all would be well.
After a few rings that seemed interminable to him, his assistant finally picked up.
