“Hello? Mr.

Finch?” Wallace was overjoyed, but he didn’t have any second to waste, so he went straight to the point.

“I’m in the elevator and it’s broken! Find security and tell them the elevator is broken.

Hurry up!” he said in one breath and waited for a reply but nothing came.

“Did you hear me?” Wallace asked into the phone, but still, he heard nothing.

He shook his head fervently and looked at the phone before taking it to his ear again.

He held the phone as if his life depended on it and shouted into it,

“Hello?”

“Sir…” the assistant started saying but it got cut off.

Wallace was about to repeat himself when he heard the phone make a strange sound.

He looked at the screen and saw that the signal bar had disappeared.

“No, no, no!” Wallace shouted.

The signal was gone.

He tried to get the phone as close to the elevator doors as he could in a desperate attempt to get a signal.

He had a signal some seconds ago.

How could he lose it just when he was about to get help?

Wallace was getting more restless with every second that passed.

He held the phone in every way and direction he could, but still, he got no signal.

The call was over, and there was nothing he could do.

Angry, he clenched the phone and was about to throw it away, but stopped himself.

Breaking his phone meant losing the only hope he had of leaving this place.

With that thought, Wallace took a deep breath and tried to lose his anger.

“Calm down, Wallace.

No need to panic.” Wallace repeated several times Like a mantra.

Odin was waiting for the U disk.

He knew he was in the elevator coming up to him.

So if Odin didn’t see him in half an hour, he was going to come looking for him.

His assistant would also come searching for him.

He might not have heard him, but that call should have made him understand that something was wrong.

Wallace nodded, trying to convince himself of this.

Besides, he had the U disk.

Nothing could happen to him.

He had nothing to worry about.

Boom!

A loud sound suddenly came, followed by a violent turbulence.

It was so sudden that Wallace fell to the floor.

Immediately after, the elevator started going down quickly.

Now on the floor of the elevator, Wallace struggled to hold the handrail for balance.

The elevator kept going down, and at an unbelievable pace.
