Captivation: Want Nothing But You -
Chapter 1474
Odin had dealt with a lot of people before, and when they found out how powerful he was, they would usually flatter him and be both respectful and reverent to him.
Of course, there were always a few people who didn’t want to lick his boots and who spoke their mind in front of him.
However, this woman in front of him wasn’t like anyone he had ever dealt with.
She was calm and spoke unhurriedly.
Analyzing her this way made him seriously think of what she had said at the beginning.
She said that she was the King of Hearts.
Odin’s phone suddenly rang and interrupted his thoughts.
He looked at the caller ID and saw that it was his assistant.
“Yes?” he said into the phone.
“Mr.
Sullivan, we found Mr.
Finch!” The assistant’s nervous voice came from the other end of the line.
“He was trapped in the elevator, but he is on his way up now.”
As if on cue, there was a knock on the door.
Odin nodded at the man in black closest to the door.
The man immediately walked to the door, and opened it for the person outside to come in.
Six minutes ago
Just when Wallace was sure he was falling to his death, the elevator suddenly stopped on the third floor.
Wallace was covered in sweat, and his shirt was totally wet.
Fear could do that to a person.
Even though the elevator had stopped, his legs were still too weak to stand.
So, he knelt on the floor and trembled with his eyes closed.
He didn’t even realize it when the lights in the elevator came back on.
Ding!
The elevator made a sound and then opened slowly like it usually did.
People waiting for the elevator on that floor were shocked when they saw a grown man kneeling on the floor and trembling all over.
“Mr.
Finch?” a man called uncertainly.
He could see that the man in the elevator looked at lot like Wallace, but he wasn’t sure.
Still scared to death, Wallace hugged himself and kept whispering,
“I can’t die…”
The man walked closer to him and patted him on the shoulder, but
Wallace suddenly stood up with a start.
He stared at the man with bloodshot eyes.
It was as though he was looking at a ghost.
The subordinate took a step back.
The look on Wallace’s face scared him.
