Captivation: Want Nothing But You -
Chapter 1531
“Well, when you were asleep,” Joey answered and rolled his eyes.
Quintin yawned.
“Well, I didn’t mean to fall asleep.
I was really tired.
So please forgive me and don’t get angry, okay?”
Joey curled his lips while he stared at the envelope for several seconds.
Then he went to open the door.
“Lila.
Hi.”
“Hi, Joey.
Did I disturb you?” Lila carried a tray.
“Mr.
Riley came to your room to look for you.
He said he wanted to talk to you, so
I cut some fruits for you.”
Joey looked at the fruits and the drinks on the tray.
Before he could say anything, Quintin spoke from behind him.
“Thank you very much, Lila.” Quintin smiled and took the tray from her.
“I was thirsty, and you’re just in time.”
Joey turned to look at Quintin in confusion.
Thirsty?
Wasn’t he sleeping sometime back?
However, this was always the case with Quintin.
He never acted Like an adult in front of him.
Joey looked away and didn’t bother much about what Quintin said.
He didn’t see the ticket in the envelope, nor could he go to meet his father.
Joey was exhausted.
He yawned and said tiredly, “Why don’t you go ahead and eat and drink? Meanwhile, I’m going back to my room to sleep.”
After that, he turned on his feet and went back to his bedroom.
Quintin and Lila were standing outside the door.
Before they could even say anything, Joey had already shut his door.
Quintin’s eyes flashed as he looked at the closed door.
There was worry in Lila’s voice when she saw that Joey was not in a good mood.
“Is Joey fine, Mr.
Riley? He looks unhappy.”
“He’s fine.” Quintin narrowed his eyes.
“He’s just tired and sleepy.
He’s so young.
He got up at around six o’clock to come and pick me up.
It’s normal for him to be sleepy now.”
“Is that so?” Lila was still worried a little.
