Joey hadn’t adjusted to the different time zone yet, so he was naturally sleepy even though the sun had just shown up in Marian

Islands.

“I’m going to sleep.” Joey yawned and jumped to his bed.

Quintin nodded lightly and walked to the sofa with the laptop in his hands.

He carefully placed it on his lap and continued his work.

Seeing that Quintin had no intention to leave the room, Joey gritted his teeth and reminded him, “I said I’m going to sleep now.”

“I know.

You go to sleep.

I won’t disturb you, so don’t worry,”

Quintin said casually and raised his head.

“This is my room,” Joey insisted, emphasizing each word.

Joey frowned and stopped beating around the bush.

“Aren’t you going out?”

Quintin coughed lightly and touched the tip of his nose.

“I promised your mommy I won’t let you out of my sight.

Go to sleep.

Don’t worry.

I won’t disturb you.”

Quintin then dipped his head and began to run the computer program.

He started typing the codes one by one on the keyboard with his index finger to show that he wouldn’t wake Joey.

There was no sound coming from him because of how quietly he moved.

Joey was so angry that he gritted his teeth.

If he had known about it sooner, he would have just destroyed Quintin’s laptop.

He climbed into the bed, lied down, and covered himself with a blanket.

When Quintin saw the little boy laying in the bed, he used the remote control to draw the curtains, making the room completely dark.

Joey rolled over and placed his hand between his cheek and the pillow.

He had yawned several times earlier because he was so sleepy, but now he was lying in the bed with his eyes wide open.

Under the blanket, he reached into his pocket and pulled something out.

It was a token with the word “Alberto” carved on it.

This was given to him by his father.

He asked Victor what it was back then as he studied the token.

Joey’s little frame was reflected in Victor’s eyes.

“If I’m not by your side and you are in danger one day, you can give this token to

Hector.

Someone will save you,” he murmured.
