Captivation: Want Nothing But You -
Chapter 1588
Rachel looked at her coldly without saying anything.
Alice continued, “You are my half-sister.
You can’t run from the truth.
If you kill me, people will know that.”
Alice forced herself to calm down and added, “Rachel, if you kill me, you will pay with your life.
And people will despise you for killing your sister.”
“It turns out that you know a murderer has to pay with their life.”
Rachel remained apathetic.
Her gaze focused on Alice while talking.
Alice tried to open her mouth but no words came out.
Rachel walked over to the sofa and made herself comfortable.
“Four years ago, I gave up the opportunity to drag you down with me and let you drown in the sea to avenge Abby.
Do you know why?”
..
Library
“Why?” Alice asked.
“You would experience more suffering while alive,” Rachel answered.
“You stayed in the asylum first.
And then you ran away and hid your identity.
You could only sleep with a thug for your safety.
How did that made you feel?”
Rachel found out everything there was to know after she discovered
Alice’s location.
Alice thought she had hidden herself well.
She underestimated
Rachel’s capability to figure out everything that had happened in the past four years.
Alice had murdered a man and failed to cover her tracks.
But she was so good at hiding that the police didn’t find her.
Most of the people living in the Maple District were unregistered residents.
It was the perfect place for someone like her to hide.
Alice forced her Lips shut until all the colors were drained from her Lips.
Rachel’s words took out all the self-esteem she had.
She could only clench her fists in defiance but did not make any attempt to fight back.
“I can let this slide,” Rachel offered temptingly.
Alice couldn’t believe it.
This sounded too good to be true.
“Do you mean it?”
“Tell me everything that happened before Abby’s death,” Rachel demanded, looking straight into Alice’s eyes.
