AMERY

The rest of the day went quickly in a blur. Today would actually go down as the first day in history where I went through the entire day without being bullied, hit on, insulted, harassed or beaten. News and rumors had circulated round the entire school that Levi and I are in a relationship together.

One thing about rumours is that it starts slowly like a lit up fire and before you know it, it burns and takes down everything in it's path. That's the same case for me and Levi now. We've managed to keep our fake dating afloat that I am actually surprised that we had lasted this long without facing any difficulties or shenanigans. Levi had actually been so invested in his character that if I didn't know any better myself, he would've had me fooled by how well he bodies the role as my fake boyfriend.

"Make sure you turn in your assignments first thing tomorrow morning before the next class. Have a nice day." The teacher announced and immediately packed his things before exiting the classroom. The minute he left I glanced at my watch only to realise that it's twenty minutes past closing time.

"s**t!" I cursed under my breath and immediately started putting my things together to leave. I am about to stand up from my seat when I saw three shadows casted down in front of me.

"Natasha." I whispered knowingly but I still didn't stop with what I was doing. "I don't have time for this Natasha. I'm late and I have to start going home now."

"So" She began. "You finally got Levi to start dating you right? After playing all three brothers, you finally decided to settle down with one. What happens to the other two?"

"Isn't it amazing to see that you're so invested in my life Natasha?" I asked, my hands folded nicely across my chest. I could see the glint of anger and jealousy In her eyes and somehow, it gave me a sense of satisfaction. I was happy to know that she was hurt the same way she had hurt me and this isn't going to be the end of it. I was only giving her a taste of her own medicine.

"I literally had no idea that you were cheating on me with Sean and even after I found out, I stayed away from it all so why can't you stay away from my own life?" I questioned. "You're jealous Natasha and I get it. Who wouldn't be jealous after finding out that one of the hottest guy in school is your enemy's boyfriend? I'm also jealous of me so try to s**k it up a little before you turn green with envy and trust me, it is not your best color."

"You think you're funny?"

I shrugged. "No. I just think I'm lucky. It's not everyday you get to score a hot guy like Levi. You can give Sean a chance to make it up to you. B.T dubs, you both looked so adorable cheating on me." I feigned a smile and made my way out of class and towards the exit. I thought about going home but then I remembered that I had to see Quincy and talk to him about the art competitions that we discussed about last time. I have done my research and I have found good and formidable competitions that he could participate in. I needed to talk to him about them so that we could start sending in applications.

I made my way towards the school's gate and I weighed the pros and cons in my mind, thinking about which path I should take and which one would be better. Just as I am about to come to a conclusion, Levi's car pulled up in front of me. He alighted the car and approached me steadily. "Where are you going?"

"Home." I answered casually. "Where do you think I'm supposed to go after school?"

"But that's not even in the list." He leaned in closer. "Whatever happened to rule number three? Or have you forgotten so suddenly question mark we were supposed to hold hands and act lovey-dovey while in public."

I sighed feeling frustrated. "That applies to in school and not outside school."

"Are you even thinking straight? Do you know what's going to happen if people find out that we go home separately without each other? it's called fake dating for a reason Amery. It means that we have to put on our act at all times and for the record this is school property which means we are still in the presence of other students." He stated firmly I watched them get past us one after the other.

"I'm sorry okay." I apologized. "You're right. I wasn't thinking straight."

"New rule. I'll drop you off at school every morning and take you home afterwards." He informed me but I quickly disagreed.

"You can't drop me off at home or even pick me up. My parents are not aware of this so-called relationship thing and they find a strange guy dropping me off with his car in front of my house what do you think they're going to say about it?" "We'll figure it out together but until then, don't you ever leave school without me, understand?" He asked, patiently waiting for my response.

"Good. Now get in."

"I wanted to take the-" The rest of my words are cut short when Levi carries me into his arms in bridal style and places me gently into the car. I heard short gasps and squeals of excitement coming from the other students who watched the entire scenario. Before the doors were closed, I spotted Natasha and her gangs of Barbies from afar and I made sure to smile at them before Levi joined me in the car.

He ordered the driver to take us home and I was grateful because at least I have a chance to see Quincy and talk to him about what I had in mind.

"How was your day?" Levi inquired and I looked around the car to see if he was actually talking to me. I was the only one seated with him so it only meant that he was actually talking to me but why? "You're not supposed to ask me that question remember?" I reminded him. "Keep your distance when we're alone."

"I'm asking you about your day and not because I want us to tangle the sheets Amery. It's a friendly question, unless you want it to be something else..." He drawled amusingly. "You know, something more than that. I'm up for anything if you just tell me about it." I rolled my eyes at him. "School was okay. Who would've thought that all I needed was a fake relationship with Levi Stark, the notorious devil of the basketball team to have the entire student body worship and respect me. I'll have to admit, it was really nice. Natasha and the others are drowning in the pool of their own jealousy. What about you?" I proceeded to ask.

"Other than the fact that your psycho ex boyfriend is extremely jealous and looking for ways to get back at me for dating you, it's all good." I answered conversionally. "I'd still like to know how you end up dating useless guys like these ones Amery. Your taste in guys is poor and it doesn't suit you at all"

"And yet I'm dating you." I countered. "My taste really has a way of bringing me closer to the useless ones. I mean if they're not liars, cheaters or obsessed and jealous psychos, they're killers and murderers who are out to get me."

"At least I'm driven so you got yourself a keeper." He winked at me while I fought the urge to barf all over this cute and amazing car. I do hate Levi but I love this car more. I don't even think I hate him, I just don't like him that much. I don't like him like that. In fact, he's one of the few persons In my life that I despise and to think that there aren't even many of them.

We arrived at his house and after the driver parked the car at the lot, I stepped out and made my way inside and straight to Quincy's bedroom. I found him working on something and for a minute there, he was too busy to even notice me.

"Earth to Quincy." I snapped my fingers to gain his attention and he looked up to see me.

"Wow." He stood up and walked up to me. I watched him size me up before engulfing me in a tight hug. "Boy, have I missed you so much Amery bear."

"Cute Nickname." I pointed out.

"Right?" He asked. "I read an article online that girls love it when they're being addressed with cute nicknames."

"You really did your homework." I applauded him.

"So what brings you here?"

"Well.." I reached out for my phone and turned it on and the picture of Levi graced my eyes for the millionth time that day and to think I fall in love with it whenever I see it. I quickly swiped it open before Quincy could see. "I found an art competition for you to apply." I broke down the news to him and he looked at me with a smile on his face. I don't need anyone to tell me that I had done a great job because I know I have.

Now, the next step is to get through the hours here without Quincy suspecting anything which should not be too difficult to do.
