"Did you have to pick him?" Levi asked as they made their way towards Amery's cabin. For her special guest list for tonight's dinner, she had chosen Levi and Asher as her guests but for some reason, Levi wasn't having it. He knew what Amery was up to but he doesn't approve of it. He had told her countless times that trying to bring them closer would not work out as she was hoping it would but then again, how do you convince a woman who had made it her life mission to be stubborn?

"Oh come on Levi. You of all people should know why I'm doing this." She said in a silent and desperate plea. "This is the only way I get to explain things to Asher and make him forgive me."

"And what's going to happen after then?" He questioned, his eyes pinning her down. "Is anything going to change after that? Does my brother strike you as someone who would want that?" Levi could not understand why Amery was so hell-bent on this. He was fighting the urge to tell her that she was acting gullible but he didn't want to say anything to upset her and that was why he was keeping quiet about this.

How does he tell her that the Asher whom she considers her god that can do no wrong is actually on a different mission that might ruin all of their lives? How does he tell her that the Asher whom she had gotten to know all these months was not the same person he protrayed himself to be but a different version who was up to no good?

How does he open her to see the red flags that were flashing in front of her very eyes? He knows that he wasn't a good person and that he had a lot of flaws which might be bigger than that of Asher considering the fact that he had the same intentions as well but at least, his case was different because from the onset, he had never wanted any of this.

Any decision he has made up until now was because he wanted to protect his family which would be in ruins because of her and not because he wanted to outdo them.

"Asher is a good person Levi." She insisted. "I know that you two don't get along for a whole lot of reasons but you have to trust me. Have a little faith. I'm doing all this because I don't want this to continue any longer."

"You honestly don't know how hard it is for me Levi." She continued. "I know that you try to but you still don't. Everyday I see you all drifting apart and I can't help but blame myself for being responsible for everything because let's face it, If I hadn't come into your lives, none of this would be happening right now. I want to change that and if a simple dinner with Asher is going to fix our relationship then why shouldn't I at least try?

"I still don't think it's a good idea." He countered. "But it's all entirely up to you because you won't listen to a thing I say anyways."

"Thank you Levi." She smiled cheekily at him at he rolled his eyes at her mediocre efforts to butter him up. The little hellion.

"Amery." Someone called suddenly and Amery was surprised to see Asher walking up to her in quick strides. She stood in front of Levi as she waited for him to get close but he only stopped a few feet away from her.

"I never asked for you to invite me to your guest dinner or whatever it's called." She started, his voice icy unlike anything she had ever heard before. His facial expression were taunt and serious. He was angry at her. "I specifically asked you to stay away from me so why are you so hell bent on building bridges that you singlehandedly destroyed and burned to the ground?"

Levi made an attempt to go after him but Amery held him in place.

"It's just dinner Asher. I mean no harm and besides the school asked me to choose and you both are the only ones I know here." She answered in a soft and fluid voice but he wasn't having it.

"You have always been causing harm ever since I got to know you and you think that dinner would change all that?" He lashed at her and she blinked furiously. Gone are the days when she normally had a smooth conversation with Asher, when he actually listened. This wasn't her Asher anymore.

"And about knowing people...." He continued. "Haven't you heard a thing about making new friends? We're not your puppets so don't you even think for a second that you can string us along whenever you want to. We are not here to carry out your every bidding." "Asher that's enough!" Levi barked at him but he scoffed.

"I just want to have dinner with both of you." She whispered in a low voice. "One night Asher, one night is all I'm asking from you." She requested, her voice breaking down with every word she took. "You can go ahead to hate me afterwards but please, just let me have dinner with you so that I can fi-x t-this, please."

"Unbelievable." Levi muttered his breath but loud enough for them to hear.

"Alright then." Asher agreed at last. "I will have dinner with you since you're practically forcing me too. And another reason why I'm doing it is because it's part of a stupid GPA which I know nothing about but if I'm to follow your wishes to come for dinner, I'm bringing my plus one, Natasha." He deadpanned and her eyes flew open in an instant.

She had been asking herself countless question on why he kept on choosing Natasha for everything he wanted to do or get involved in. If she hadn't known Natasha all her life she would have come to the conclusion that she had Bewitched Asher but that was not the case.

"Do you really have to?" She asked when she tried to comprehend why he wanted her to join them.

"It's either that or I'm not going anywhere. Your pick." He placed an ultimatum as he waited for her to decide. "You asked for my presence and me says that my presence can't be determined without that of my girlfriend's." "Alright then." Amery's voice had gone from crying to anger in split seconds. "You can bring her to dinner If you like. I have no objections."

He nodded his head and walked away leaving them together.

"I told you didn't I?" Levi reminded her. "I told you already that dinner with my brother would not be a possible feat but you insisted on inviting him and now he is going to bring that girl to join us. I just can't stand her. I feel like ripping her face off anytime that I see her. Are you satisfied with your decision now?"

Amery watched Asher from the corner of her eyes holding hands with Natasha. She couldn't even bring herself to answer Levi's question. Every fiber of her being detested every moment she saw them together but today would probably be the worst day because of Natasha's actions earlier. If all she had been feeling towards her was nothing but hurt and anger, today, she felt rage. Pure, unsizzled, unsheathed, undiluted rage and she won't take it sitting down any longer.

Natasha had taken much more than she should from her and today marked the beginning of whatever hatred she felt for her and she would make sure that she paid it in full. A smile crossed her lips when a sudden idea popped into her head and she first Levi who looked at her as though she had grown another pair of head.

"Please get ready and join me at the cabin Levi. I'll be waiting for you." She smiled at him before heading into her sleeping cabin to get prepared for the evening. She settled for a black mulet gown with spaghetti straps would pass off as a simple dinner dress. It showed moderate skin which was the exact look that she was going for.

After that, she tied her back and clipped it in place.

"Congratulations on your win today Hunter. I'd have to say, you outdid everyone of us but I'd have to let you know that it won't be that easy next time." Samantha applauded her efforts.

"Thank you." She answered with a small smile and stood up to her feet. "Oh and you can shut the door tonight. I might not back here." She informed her before heading to the cabin.

She arrived to see that the special cabin has been set up and beautifully decorated to befit a winner. There was decorations hanging on the doors and windows and they had also served the meal which was the main course for tonight. She took a moment to admire everything before her before beginning phase one of her plans-which was to eliminate Natasha.

Levi was the second person to arrive followed by Asher and Natasha. They all sat round the table that had been made for them with different types of dishes.

Amery did not believe that Asher would come with Natasha. she had wanted to give him the benefit of a doubt but he still went on with his plans to bring her for dinner. Not that she was complaining though but all she knew was that whatever happens Natasha would not have dinner with them.

"Firstly, i want to thank you all for coming here for dinner, except some uninvited guest who showed up last minute but still, thank you." She said with a smile and Natasha looked down at her with a frown. She had thought that Asher would say something but even he, looks uninterested.

"Shall we have a toast?" Amery raised up a glass urging them to do so and they all did. "Here's to always standing by each other no matter what." They clinked glasses and from the corner of her eyes, she watched Natasha drown all the contents in her glass. Now, let the real fun begin.
