"Why aren't you guys eating?" Amery questioned as she threw both boys a glance. Their eyes were fixed on each other as though they were having a freaking staring contest. "The food is delicious and I promise that you'll like it." She insisted but only silence met her words. This wasn't exactly what she had in mind when she had planned to have dinner with the two of them. How will she be able to settle things if they don't even want to eat, talk or be around each other?

Taking matters into her own hands, she dished out for both boys and served it to them on their plates in front of them on the table. "There, now you can both have a taste of what you're missing out." She muttered, satisfied with the move that she had pulled to get them talking but to her greatest surprise, Natasha pushed Asher's plate away.

"I'm sorry but who gave you the right to feed my boyfriend?" She asked with a sarcastic grin on her face. "Asher never said that he wanted to eat and even if he did, then that's why I'm here-" She stopped talking and gripped her stomach tightly as a loud groan escaped her lips.

Asher focused his attention on her while Levi and I looked on, feeling a bit uninterested in whatever was unfolding in front of them.

"Are you okay?" Asher proceeded to ask and she nodded fiercely.

"I am. I just feel a little weird right now." She mumbled. Amery's lip stretched into a smile as she picked up her plate to devour the food in it. Asher threw her a knowing glace but she did her very best to ignore it.

"Did you do something to her?" He directed the question to Amery and she shrugged.

"Why would I do something to her if she hasn't done anything to me? You should know me by now Asher, I'm not the one who goes around looking for trouble. It just doesn't make sense." She said in her defence and continued eating. "Although..." She continued and threw Natasha a glance. "It is said that bad things do happen to bad people. The devil doesn't wear six-inch heels after all."

Natasha groaned in pain but this time, louder than before. Her forehead broke out in a sweat and she felt the goosebumps pop out of her skin. She couldn't tell if it was the meal or something else but her body was rejecting and trying to get rid of something. The more she tried to swallow it in, the more difficult it got and when she couldn't hold it in any longer, she threw up on her clothes, making a huge mess of herself in the presence of everyone seated there.

"What the " Asher was saying but before he could finish that sentence, Natasha picked herself up from her seat and rushed outside the cabin.

"That was totally unexpected." She blurted out as though she didn't have the slightest idea of what had just happened.

"You did this?" Levi asked but she didn't respond. "What did you do to her?"

"I only gave her a taste of her own medicine," Amery stated adamantly. "I put a herbal mix in her glass before you all came inside the cabin. She drank from it and I guess it worked considering the fact that she just made a total fool out of herself." "That was risky Amery. You didn't even know where we were going to sit so what if any of us had sat down there and drank from that glass? We might both be suffering her fate right now." Levi reprimanded her but she only rolled her eyes.

"I knew that neither of you would be affected if you drank from the glass. It's a tonic that was given to me specifically for treating my wounds by our kind so I know that we would not suffer from it."

"But still." He pressed on. "She's a human and she's not one of us so something bad could have happened to her. You took a huge risk in what you just did Amery and don't even try to defend yourself."

"You don't even know what she did-"

"Is that why you asked me to bring her to dinner?" Asher chimed in. "So that you can carry out your twisted idea of revenge on my girlfriend?"

"She's not your girlfriend and you don't-"

"Really Levi?" Asher directed his anger towards his brother, pitching Amery in the middle of both men. "Is this really what you're teaching her to do now? I won't even be surprised if I found out that you were the one who put this idea in her head and told her to execute it. You're always the one who has intentions of killing or doing something bad to people."

Levi sprung up from his chair at that instant. "You must be so f****d if you think that I had anything to do with this!" He lashed out at his brother. "Do you think I'm in control of her thoughts or actions?"

"Well you manipulated her into having s*x with you so I'm not even surprised if she carries out your bidding to please you at this point." Asher accused Levi and he suffered a punch for his words. Amery tried to get them to stop fighting but her words only fell on deaf ears.

"You can hate me all you want but it doesn't change the fact that you are behind all of this because you always are." Asher urged on.

"You f*****g b***h!" They all turned their direction towards the entrance of the cabin to face Natasha who had just stormed in. She had changed out of her puke-infested clothes and had worn new ones. The speed at which she changed so fast surprised Amery but stood her ground and waited for her to get closer.

"I know that you spiked my drink so that I would make a mess of myself." She barked at Amery who stood there, unmoved by her words.

"Weren't you already a mess to begin with?" Amery asked mockingly as if urging her to do something stupid.

"You-" The rest of Natasha's words caught up in the air when Amery's palm connected with her cheeks.

"That's for kissing Sean and causing our breakup." She said frostily.

Before Natasha could assimilate what was happening, another hard slap landed on her right cheek. She groaned and sucked in the pain as she glared daggers at Amery who had just assaulted her and inflicted such hurtful pain on her face.

"That's for leaking that fake video in which you conspired against me for dealing drugs which got Quincy expelled from school and this..." Amery slapped her for the third time before she could recover from the previous ones. "This is for being such a b***h and pushing me down that cliff to die."

"I thought that I already knew everything there was to know about you but today proved to me that there was nothing good about you from the very beginning." Amery spilt angrily. "I was just too blinded by my fake imagination of us being friends again that I let you walk all over me. But that's not going to happen anymore."

Natasha tried to retaliate but Levi quickly pulled Amery behind him and Asher held onto Natasha so that she doesn't take any step further to hurt Amery. Natasha couldn't believe her eyes at everything unfolding in front of her. She had thought that Asher would at least try to defend her but he was holding her back.

"You f*****g pushed her off a cliff?" Levi barked at Natasha and she flinched visibly. Amery smirked in victory when she realized that her plan to ruin Natasha in the presence of Asher was working.

"You were talking about me putting Amery against her right?" Levi questioned his brother. "But your f*****g girlfriend pushed Amery down a cliff. Are you satisfied now, huh?

"Let's go." Asher grabbed Natasha's hands and pulled her towards the door but Levi's words stopped him.

"I have never thought that you would turn out like this Asher." Levi mused. "I actually thought that from the three of us, you were the most responsible one but I guess that I was wrong. You're worse than anything I have ever come across."

Asher scoffed. "Words coming from the mommy's boy himself." Asher deadpanned and Levi's counterbalance changed completely at that statement. Amery noticed that the look he had on was not the regular angry look of his but different. She saw hurt and unmasked pain flash through those orbs. It was for a split second but she had seen it. She had never seen any word bring out that expression from Levi and it baffled her but Asher didn't stop.

"As if you have anything better to say about me. You don't even know me. You only pretend to do because you think you do. This has always been me Levi and maybe if you had paid attention well enough instead of clinging onto your mother then you would have known better than to make stupid assumptions." And with that, he stormed out of the cabin along with Natasha.

Amery was torn between staying with Levi and going after Asher. She did the latter.

She met him leaving as he fumed in anger. He was no longer with Natasha so she assumed that he had sent her away. She approached him, her anger slowly rising. "Did you have to say all those words to Levi?" She demanded with a stern look on her face.

"If you're here to defend him then I think you should leave instead."

"That girl tried to kill me, Asher." She spat furiously. "She pushed me down a cliff. I could've died and yet you were defending her at the expense of your brother?"

"And you think he's any better!" He shouted in rage. "You're trusting him blindly and you don't even realize that he is up to something. You think he loves you and that everything would be alright because you're with him? Well sorry to burst your bubble little dreamer, Levi is coming for you and trust me, he's going to hurt you in such a way that you will never recover from."

"So what? Does that change all the things you've done until now?" She inquired. "And speaking of love, you're dating Natasha aren't you? Do you love her? And if you can be with her then why can't I be with Levi?"

"Because he's using you!" He deadpanned.

"No, he isn't." She insisted. "I called for this dinner because I wanted to fix things with each of you and even though Levi wasn't on good terms with you, he still agreed to it. I am not trying to pick one over the other. When will you understand that I'm doing this because I want us all to be together."

He looked at her, repulsed by what she had just said. "You cannot want us all Amery. You'd have to choose who you want to be with. There are no two ways about it. I don't know what he must have been telling you but it's either me, him or Quincy." "But why can't we be together? If we all just decide to work on it then-"

"We simply CANNOT!" He barked. "Your idea of a relationship between the four of us cannot work because it is impossible."

"Then why won't you just tell me why it can't."

"There are things that are better left unsaid and that question you asked, is one of those things." He said in response and walked out of her presence. She watched him leave till he disappeared out of sight as she kept on thinking about what he had just told her.
