Asher was distraught and utterly paranoid.

He got into his cabin and shut the door on Natasha without warning. He had not expected Amery to side with Levi the way she did tonight.

He had thought that she would at least acknowledge his presence and try to make him feel better for everything that had happened but instead, she was clinging onto Levi as though her entire life depended on it. Levi had not only taken her away from him but he had gone ahead to change her mind and thoughts about him as well.

Amery no longer looks at him with those eyes that held affection like before. She no longer sees him as her one true saviour as she did in the past.

She was always the one clinging on to him and making him feel special and now, she had taken that position and given it to Levi, thereby making him stupid and utterly useless to everyone.

Tonight, he had expected her to hug him and tell him just how much she missed him, but it was the complete opposite of what he'd expected that happened.

Instead of doing that, she lashed out at him for belittling Levi and saying mean things to him. Amery had never liked Levi, so he was wondering how this newfound affection came about.

Levi had always tried to kill her and Amery had vowed not to have anything to do with him but she was breaking that wall tonight and all he could do was watch her.

Just how on earth was he supposed to compete with that?

He was supposed to beat Levi. He was supposed to be the overall ruler and he was supposed to be the one who got the chance to mark Amery, but now everything felt as though it was slipping away from his fingers. Was he going to always lose to Levi all the time?

Angrily he punched the wall and ended up with bloody fists. The more his anger weighed down on him, the more he kept on destroying everything in his path.

At this point, he was certain that Levi had bewitched Amery because she was not the same person whom he had come to know all these months.

Levi has certainly given her something to take and he knew deep down, he was also plotting something devious. Something that would wreck Amery beyond repair. He knew his brother that much.

But why won't she read the signs though?

In what universe did anyone find Levi appealing to the extent of falling for him? And to think that she even dared to suggest that they all ended up together.

He wanted her for himself. He doesn't want to share her with anyone else because she is his and that is not going to change. He angrily pushed everything to the ground and they all crashed into a million tiny pieces.

He wasn't going to let Levi win and that was certain. He would make Amery see through his lies and deceits and then, he would make his final move to bring her closer to his side.

Since he couldn't change her mind about Levi, he was going to make her see for herself. He doesn't know why but deep down, he could tell that his brother was definitely up to something.

Levi would not get this close to Amery if he wasn't planning something, and he would definitely stick around to find out what he was hiding.

The door to his cabin creaked open and he thought it was his roommate but it was none other than Natasha. How is it that the women in this realm never understand when a man doesn't want to do anything with them? Why was it always impossible for them to differentiate between yes and no?

He had clearly told her his intentions right from the very beginning and told her the reason why he took her to that dinner, but she was still insistent on being with him. She didn't want to take no for an answer.

"Are you okay, Asher?" She asked as she slowly approached his worn-out figure standing in the middle of the mess that he had created.

She looked around to see everything disoriented but still, kneaded through the pile of stuff to get to him.

"I heard crashing sounds and I got worried." She said in a tiny whisper. "Are you really that upset that you crashed your room to the point of making it inhabitable?"

"I'm not in the mood for any of this, so please get out!" He ordered and kicked the pile that he had destroyed.

"I am here because I care about you a lot, Asher." She confessed. "I saw what she did to you during dinner. I saw how Amery defended your brother instead of taking your side. I saw how they both made you look stupid because you were trying to defend me. I saw everything Asher and that's why I'm here to be with you right now."

She stalked closer and took his hands in hers. "You deserve so much, Asher." She whispered and inched her face closer to his. "You are only letting yourself down by trying to win her over. There are plenty of girls that would kill to have you in their life Asher, me inclusive."

"Is that why you tried to push her off the cliff earlier today?" He asked but she pushed herself closer so that her body comes in close contact with his. "Is that the reason why you have always wanted to have her gone for good?"

"But isn't that what we both wanted?" She countered, her hands tracing the seam line of his chest down his torso. Asher held her both hands to put her in place.

"You and I never had a plan that involved us taking Amery out or attempting to kill her." He reminded Natasha. "I told you from the very beginning that the only reason I was doing this was that I wanted her to be jealous and not because I wanted her dead" "But she didn't die and it was an accident. I never intended to push her down the cliff. She said something to piss me off and in a moment of rage, I did what I did and not because I wanted to murder her. I will never have any intentions of murdering her." Natasha said in her defence.

"Of course you did. I know you well enough to know that you did Natasha and I am this close to making you pay for what you did to her, but I am trying my very best to curb my anger so that I don't make you suffer for it and that's why I'm asking you nicely to get out of this cabin right now." Asher repeated in a firm and deep voice that sent shivers down her spine.

Natasha felt every bit of that word but she'll be damned before she lets him chase her away.

She had suffered and gone through so much just to be with him. This whole dating idea was only put in place because she wanted to woo him so that he falls for her instead of Amery and now, he was telling her to leave.

Couldn't he at least see the efforts that she was putting to make this work? And what on earth did those boys see in Amery anyways that makes them go crazy just at the mere sight of her?

She had the looks and she was ten times more beautiful than Amery, so why on earth do they keep picking Amery over her? She wouldn't leave and if he was trying to prove stubborn about it by chasing her away, then she would also show him that she was as stubborn as he was.

"Are you trying to test me, Natasha?" He primped but she still wouldn't move an inch.

Irked by her stubbornness, Asher grabbed her by the hands and squeezed a little too tightly. She yelped when it stung.

"Let go of me right this instant, Asher!" She tried to wiggle her hands free from his stronghold but it wouldn't budge, neither would he let her.

A smile ghosted Asher's lip when he found her struggling. "Why are you trying to get away now? Your plan right from the very moment was to try and seduce me, wasn't it? So why are you trying to run away when you have the full package in front of you?" His lips twitched angrily and his nose flared up.

The more he held her in that manner, he felt his wolf slowly taking control over him but he was too angry and too filled with rage to snap out of it. His teeth grinded against each other and his veins almost popped out of his skin.

"Asher!" Natasha screamed In fright. She didn't know what was happening but she didn't like it either.

Pulling her hands down forcefully, he threw her across the room and she landed on her butt. The impact from the fall shot through her bloodstream and she yelped.

"Get OUT!" Asher's voice had gone from the familiar voice she knew and loved to something else. He was no longer talking the way he used to and his voice almost sounded like that of a growl.

"I said GET OUT!" He yelled for the second time and faced her.

Natasha felt her spirit leave her body at the sight in front of her. Asher's eyes had taken a darker shade of red and his face was partly covered with fur. His teeth almost stuck out and his nails had almost protracted.

Seeing him in this state, Natasha screamed at the top of her lungs and dashed out of the cabin. When Asher realized what had just happened, he fell to the ground and willed himself to calm down before his animal spirals out of control and goes berserk. When he was able to finally get a grip on himself, that's when he started to make sense of what had just happened.

Natasha had seen him in a half shift.
