Cold Hearted Mate
Chapter 16

He started to step forward and approach her slowly. As she reveals herself, she can see he was surprised with her presence.

Connor could not believe it that as he looked at her and got absorbed in the majestic beauty she exudes. It is as if time has stopped and his breath was caught into something he could not understand. Never in his life have he experienced such a heavenly feeling that intoxicates every fiber of her being.

It was like everything stopped and it was only her that mattered at the moment. He hugged her tightly for about a few minutes and the spark in their bodies.

"My Queen, are you alright?" He whispered in her ear.

He was so thankful that they survived the fight with the vampires, but looking at where she was holding made him completely astonished.

She is wounded and bleeding.

"Damn it! What should I do?" He started breathing uncontrollably and panic started to sink in.

"You should calm down. We need to hurry in taking our mate into safety, give her our assistance and check on her wounds first." Clell said to his mind.

He lifted her up like a newlywed and hurriedly ran towards the pack boundary.

Louve knew she should be healing by now but her wound is still open and she is still bleeding. She tried to focus her senses and she could smell wolf's bane around her wound.

While she was holding on to Connor's shoulders and contemplating why she is healing so slowly, they arrived at the boundary of the pack.

Before Connor decided and gave orders, a sudden threatening presence came into view.

A flying vampire! And he is threatening them.

This one is certainly a threatening force. He is no easy opponent and should not be underestimated.

There is one thing I am sure of. No matter how powerful a vampire is, you are in big trouble if you face a pack of werewolves on your own.

Connor mind-linked the others, who were on standby apart from the boundary to hurry due to the arrival of a threat and launch an attack behind the flying vampire.

Connor turned her attention to the flying vampire and commanded his Beta and the warriors to surround the flying vampire and attack him from his sides.

The vampire is now trying to hypnotize the werewolf in front of him which try to control their minds, but not strong enough to prevent them from mind-linking. "Alpha, he is a vampire with a gift!" Dolf declares.

"Everyone! Let us finish him together and quickly before he gathers more strength."

Connor commanded everyone and together they launched a coordinated and deadly attack. They pounced and shred him into pieces with their fangs and claws.

The pack may not have gifts like other vampires but they are stronger when they attack together. Their strength, speed, and coordination become more lethal.

Each individual among the pack warriors are no ordinary werewolves as well, they have a unique specialization in combat and they are notoriously known for their tactical and deadly force as a team. "Alpha this is the King of Vampires' elite captain, with his special abilities."Dolf said to Connor.

"Good thing, we took him by surprise." He informs us before the corpse disintegrates into ashes.

Connor was surprised about the sudden attack of the vampires at his pack. They are all powerful being that Louve fight them with her unbelievable magic power.

Speaking of which, the moment he looked behind to where his mate was, he noticed that she was unconscious and he immediately ran towards her.

"Alpha Connor, we must hurry. She is losing more blood and by the looks of it, we might even lose her if this gets worse and left untreated."

By the mention of the possibility of losing her, he went into frenzy and panic mode.

He commanded everyone to prepare everything so they can transport her already to the nearest hospital as soon as possible.

He immediately holds her and lifts her up and runs as fast as he can, to go to the nearest hospital pack.

At the hospital...

"Why is it so dark? I feel so cold. It is like never-ending coldness shrouding all over me." She whispered in her mind.

She kept her eyes closed, she realized how scared and in pain she was at that moment.

She tries to open her eyes. Then she can hear her name a bit while trying to go to that bright flashy light as she tries to open her eyes more. When she finally opens her eyes, she can feel some fireworks and magical feeling holding her hand.

"You are awake." A familiar voice, she said in her mind.

"Someone call the doctor, she is awake!" A heavenly voice ringing out in her ears as she tries to gather her rationality and conscience.

Her vision tries to wander, "Where am I?" She tries to let out her weak voice.

Feeling her body so sore. She thinks she is feeling the bruises and the aftermath of her battle with those vampires.

"Don't force yourself. You lost too much blood and you need to recover. You are in our hospital, my beautiful mate."

Looking at this heavenly presence beside her. He is being surrounded by this sparkling aura which makes her melt just by looking at him.

"I feel so much better now, with him holding us like we are the only one that matters!" Harou said in her mind.

"Shut up Harou, I am trying to gather my wits here, and why the hell are we in here?" Louve said.

"Obviously, from that wound we had, we blacked out and lost consciousness. Good thing, our mate found us and got us back. He saved us! Can't you see?" Harou said.

"Just calm down because you are making my head spin more." So she calms down her wolf.

"Are you okay? How are you feeling?" Connor worriedly asked her while holding her hand.

Before she answered, the doctor entered with some nurse to check her and this stuff attached to her which she just realized now that there is some wire-like stuff attached to her and tube-like things.

She can see them analyzing her condition and checking the chart and paper that the doctor is holding.

"How is she Doc? She was unconscious for two days." Connor asked the doctor.

The doctor was still confirming with the data and the paper she is holding.

Louve also shocked that she was unconscious for two days.

"Well, her healing abilities are back to normal now, since we have taken out any signs of wolfs-bane in her system. Though, I must say it is surprising to see she survived after losing so much blood and having that amount of wolfs-bane in her system. If it was any normal wolf, that wolf would have died already. You are so fortunate Luna for making it through."

Connor looked as serious as the doctor explained her condition.

The doctor gave her recommendations and advised my mate what to do. He immediately commanded everyone to do exactly what the doctor asked for and what she advised for him to do.

After the doctor left, he looked at Louve again and sat down beside the bed.

"How are you feeling? Do you have anything you want?" He asked her but she kept quiet as she looked at him in his eyes. "Or do want to eat something, I -"

Before Alpha Connor can finish his sentences, Louve suddenly holds his cheek and kisses him on the lips.

It was a sweet kiss and they separated with a smile on their lips. Alpha Connor was surprised with the sudden kiss, he really missed that kiss of her.

Louve looked at him in the eyes and said, "Thank you, for saving me." She softly said to him.

Alpha Connor smiles and replies to her, "I will do anything just to keep you safe. I will not let someone hurt you again." He kissed the back of her hand and continued, "I couldn't bear to lose you... I will promise you that I will take care of you." Louve smiled at him and they embraced each other with full of love and their eyes.

After a moment, Louve requested him to peel some orange for her. Alpha Connor, immediately picks up one orange in the basket fruits at the side table.

After Alpha Connor peeled the orange, he fed her. At first, Louve was shy that her Alpha was feeding her, but Alpha Connor insisted on putting the orange in her mouth. She shyly opened her mouth and smiled at him. And they happily talked and laughed with each other.

Meanwhile, Dolf and May saw them while standing in front of the glass door of the VIP ward. They were silently watching them, and they smiled.

"I think our Alpha finally found his match!" May said while watching the love birds inside the ward.

"Hmm, I hope their happiness will last forever! You are right, they match! This is the first time I'm seeing our Alpha so vulnerable with a happy face towards Louve. I think Louve is the only cure for the Alpha to bring him back to life." "Yes, I agree!" May nodded.

"Come on, don't disturb their happy time."

Dolf and May went to the hospital's canteen first and ate some snacks, while waiting for their Alpha's command.
