The Next Day.. Lacey's

It's incredible the things that can inspire someone and make them wanna do better in life.

It's especially incredible for someone like me who is a writer and constantly needs to be inspired and motivated to wanna work and be creative

Before I came back to New York, I was in the middle of writing a new werewolf series but now I've decided to be a multitasker and write another book which I've been inspired to write thanks to my handsome husband and wonderful kids

Most billionaire love stories I've read, always feature the same tropes of a cheating spouse or he accuses his innocent partner of cheating or he's abusive and even though they're good books, they get kind of tiresome, so I've decided to write a new book which features a man inspired by my own

Logan is a unique man and is a far cry from what most men of his status and wealth are like

Even though the main character in my new book is based off my husband, I'm going to include a little bit of danger in there as well and I'm still toying with the idea of making it a mafia story but I think that may be too much

I haven't told Logan about my alter ego yet but I plan to soon because I don't want to keep any secrets from him, it doesn't matter how big or small they are

Even the smallest of secrets kept from your partner is enough to cause major doubt

I'm currently at home sitting in my office which Logan had secretly arranged for me while we were in London and I'm honestly over the moon with it.

The room is a sleek and classy black and white colour with blue neon lighting going around the borders of the room and also under my desk and on the shelves. The walls are bare except for a clock and a couple of framed pictures, one is of the stunning Marilyn Monroe and the other is of Taraji P. Henson's character from Empire

You're probably wondering why I'd have a picture of Cookie Lyon on my wall, well, it's simple she's freaking iconic, that's why, she's also one of TV's most memorable characters and her one-liners are classic, not to mention Taraji is just stunning in every way possible so, why not?

Logan also told me he kept the walls bare so that I could hang pictures of us and our kids up on them which I plan to do very soon, he's even set up a little Christmas tree in the corner of the room, that's how cute and adorable he is

Anyway, I've been sitting in my office all morning working on my new book and right now, I feel like Jim Carrey in God Almighty with how fast I'm typing

I'm all alone at home, well, except for the staff because Logan had to go to the office and the kids have gone out with Logan's parents for the day

Logan Junior wasn't keen on going with them but I encouraged him to go because he needs to learn to let down his walls and welcome other people into his inner circle

I was close to finishing the current chapter I was working on when my phone started ringing

"Hello"

"Hey, darling"

Abby greeted me and I smiled

"Hey Abs, how are you?"

"I'm not so good, sweetheart"

She says confusing and worrying me

"Why? what's wrong? is everything ok"

I ask and she lets out a sigh

"Lacey honey, is there anything you wanna tell me as both your friend and your agent?"

She asks and I drop my head in shame

"Actually yes, there is something, Abby but in my defence, you can't get mad at me for not telling you because everything happened so fast and it's honestly just been one thing after another lately" "What is it, Lacey?"

Abby asks with a slight growl in her tone

I let out a sigh and told her everything that happened from the invitation my family sent me, to Logan coming back into my life and us getting married to us coming back home to New York

Abby was silent as I spoke and she was silent for a few seconds

afterwards as well which I didn't think was odd because I had just given her as**t ton of information that she wasn't expecting

So, let me get this straight... Logan Black, THE Logan Black is the father of your kids, he came all the way to London to get you back and he succeeded, you all are now married and living together in New York and you all announced your marriage to everyone at Duke and Bunny's Christmas party last night, am I hearing this right?"

She asks me and I nod my head

"Yes, you are"

"I can't believe this"

Abby said barely above a whisper and I narrowed my eyes in confusion

"Why? what's up, Abs?".

"Two words, doll, gold-digging, attention-seeking hoe"

"That's four words, Abs or five if you consider the first word as two and

not one".

"Huh...oh yeah"

She says and I chuckle

For a smart woman, Abby can be quite dumb and ditsy sometimes but I still love her anyway

"Anyway, what are you talking about, Abby? who has got you wound up so tightly?"

I asked her thinking it's nothing but then she asked me a question which instantly put me on alert and made me feel angry

"Do you know a woman called GiGi Addams?"

She asks and I roll my eyes

"Unfortunately yes I do, why do you ask?"

"Well..."

Abby drifted off and I got the feeling she was hesitant to tell me what's on her mind

"Abby, what is it?" "Ok fine, I'll tell you" Abby says annoyed

"This GiGi chick was on Good Morning America this morning as well as several other trashy talk shows giving interviews and acting like the hard done by princess she's clearly not and acting like she's had her precious little heart broken by her billionaire fiance Logan Black who according to her, dumped her so that he could marry his mistress Lacey Carpenter who has tricked him into thinking her three babies are his" "WHAT?" I growled angrily

"That's not all doll, she even claimed that the real reason why you initially left New York is because Logan refused to marry you and said you'll always be his w***e and never his wife, so you ran away and when she was questioned about why you all are married now if that's the case, she said it's because he found out about the kids and he didn't want them growing up ina broken home, so he sacrificed his happiness with her for the happiness of his alleged children" What the f**k?

"Please tell me you're joking, Abs" "I wish I was joking, doll but I'm not, the worst part is that this isn't the only interview she's done, she's done a few others as well and I've heard from some of my friends who work for America's top magazines and newspapers that she's planning on selling her sob story to any magazine who'll offer her big money for it"

Urgh!!, that trashy skank

Just wait until I get my hands on her, she won't know what's hit her when Ido

"I'm gonna f*****g kill her" I growl down the phone.

"No, you're not, Lacey, you're not gonna do anything, you're gonna sit back and let me and Logan's people sort this out"

"What do you mean? what are you gonna do?" I ask feeling both confused and pissed off

I was confused because I didn't know what she meant and I was pissed off because I really wanna f**k this b***h up

"Just trust me, doll, that girl is gonna wish she'd never messed with my family by the time I'm done with her"

She says and I smile.

"Thanks Abs, I don't know what I'd do without you"

"Oh you'd be lost and your life would be dull, especially my poor nephews and niece's lives who would be stuck with only Carmella for an auntie"

Abby said and I chuckled

"Anyway, don't worry about this, Lace, I'll get it sorted out for you" "Thanks again, Abs, you're an angel"

Actually, she's more like a Pitbull, especially when it comes to protecting her family and loved ones from people like GiGi Addams

"You're welcome, doll, anyway, I've gotta love you and leave you, babe, I'll see you later, ok"

"I love you too, Abs...bye"

lend the call but I was still feeling pissed off

I tried to calm myself down and concentrate on my work but I couldn't

so instead, I called Ruth to make sure the kids were ok to stay with them for a little while longer before I headed out to my car.

I didn't know where I was going or who I was going to see but I knew! couldn't just sit around doing nothing and I had to do something

about this sneaky, manipulative snake which was roaming around my family garden

I warned that b***h to let Logan go and to stay away from my family but here she is not heeding my warning

You better watch out GiGi because you just pissed off the wrong woman
