Being a powerful billionaire CEO has got many wonderful perks but it's also got a lot of downs to it as well, like for example, long a*s meetings with boring people or folk you can't stand, doing a s**t ton of paperwork, long hours, early mornings and late nights etc Don't get me wrong, I love my work and I definitely love being my own

boss but I love my family even more and I'd much rather be hanging out with them or making mad passionate love with my sexy wife than be here

Just thinking about my beautiful wife who I had to leave naked and alone in bed this morning is giving me a major f*****g hard-on. Last night was a rollercoaster of a ride for the both of us

There were a lot of highs and lows and I honestly thought from my tired wife's reaction in the limousine on our way back home that she'd want to go to bed after putting our children to bed but no, she was more wired than ever and we were up until the early hours of the morning just making love to each other. My intercom buzzed and I groaned in annoyance

Last night was a rollercoaster of a ride for the both of us

I sit back in my chair and sighed in frustration as I run a hand over my face just as my in-laws walked into my office and all three of them looked absolutely furious Great, just what I need

"We're not here to fight with you, Logan, we're here because of this"

Justin says as he throws a bunch of magazines and newspapers on my desk

At first, I was pissed at the audacity of this i***t but then my eyes narrowed on one of the gossip magazines in front of me and my eyes widened when I saw a picture of myself and Lacey as well as a picture of our children and another one of that b***h GiGi from last night and the headline made me wanna throw my fist through the nearest wall

I picked up the magazine in question and I read through the interview

It made me feel f*****g apoplectic because it paints my Lacey as a homewrecking w***e, our kids as bastards, myself as a pig and GiGi as a victim

"What the f**k is this?" "It's a one-woman crusade to defame my daughter, that's what it is Logan" James Carpenter growled and I could tell from the look on his face that he was trying to rein in his anger and keep himself calm and composed, his sons however weren't as strong as him

"How the f**k could you allow this to happen, Logan? how can you let this w***e treat our Lacey like she's a piece of crap?"

"What? like you guys did six years ago?" I ask and they all look at me with guilty expressions

"Look Logan, we know we all f****d up and we wanna make things right with my sister but we can't do that if it's constantly being thrown in our faces like this" "Whatever you say, Justin" I say as I run a hand through my hair

"Anyway, I haven't got a clue what this is about and I certainly didn't know that GiGi was gonna pull a stunt like this, if I did then I never would've allowed it to happen"

"We know you wouldn't, Logan" Liam says and I let out a frustrated sigh

"I'll get this sorted out, I promise, I'll get my lawyer to threaten every

single one of these bloodhounds with a defamation lawsuit if they don't retract these stories and issue a public apology to me and my family"

"I wish it was that simple, Logan but it's not" "What do you mean?"

I ask as I look up at my father-in-law who looked both distraught and pissed off

"Like I told you before, son, GiGi Addams has gone on a one-woman crusade to defame my baby girl which includes selling her so-called story to magazines, newspapers, radio and TV shows, I wouldn't be surprised if the b***h has gone global with her lies" What the f**k?

I growled to myself just as my phone started ringing

I was so pissed off that I forgot all about manners and being pleasant when I answered the call

"WHAT?"

I growled down the phone

Right now I wasn't Logan Black the successful billionaire businessman and entrepreneur, no, I was Logan Black the husband and father who was absolutely livid and I didn't need useless phone calls right now

"Sorry, I'm looking for Logan Black but I must've gotten the wrong number from my best friend who told me you were a charming and polite young man"

The lady says and I scrunch my face up in confusion

"What? who is this?"

"My name is Abigail, Abigail Walters and I'm your wife's best friend, how do you do, sir?"

Lacey never mentioned a friend called Abigail to me

"I'm fine and you?"

"Not good, I assume you've seen and heard the news that is spreading about yourself and Lacey?"

"Yes, I have"

"Well, I'm not happy about this, Mr Black, Lacey is like my little sister her kids are my nephews and nieces and I don't like that someone is defaming my family like this"

"I'm not happy either, Abigail and I promise you, I plan on getting this sorted out, ASAP"

"Oh, don't worry your cute little self, Mr Black, I'm already on it but I'd love it if you could give me the number of someone who is high up on your team so that we can work together to clear my friend's name" She says and I don't know why but I feel like I can trust this girl without speaking with Lacey first

"Please call me Logan and sure, I can give you my lawyer's number, I was gonna call him anyway to file a lawsuit against GiGi and everyone.

she's spoken to today you just beat me to it"

"That'll be great, thank you"

I gave this Abigail chick my lawyer's number and she made it clear to me that she was going to do everything within her power to avenge my wife and kids before hanging up.

I don't know who this woman is but if she really is my Lacey's best friend then I'm happy and grateful that she's got someone other than myself and Carmella in her life who is fiercely over-protective of her

She sounds like a right Pitbull and I can't wait to see what this girl is gonna do even though I've already got both a plan A and plan B in place to take care of my former friend

GiGi did all of this even though she had been warned multiple times by at least three different people, so I need a couple of plans in place.

just in case she continues to be a nuisance

Luckily for me, I've got friends in high places so I only need two plans

He and I really hope I don't have to use plan B on her

"Who was that?"

"It was a friend of Lacey's, she's not happy with GiGi either and plans to get all of this s**t sorted out for us"

"Wait, you're entrusting something as serious as this with a stranger?"

Liam growls at me and I glare at him

"Yes, I am, Liam"

"Why?"

James asks me and I let out a frustrated groan

"Because I am, James...she said that Lacey was like her little sister

and our kids are her niece and nephews, that's what makes me trust her"

"Your kids"

Justin says as he picks up a picture frame from my desk which has got a picture of myself, Lacey and our kids from our wedding day in it

It was gifted to me by Bunny who told me that every man should have at least one picture of his family on his desk and I couldn't contain

the proud smile on my face when I first put it there

It may seem cheesy but! don't care because I love it and I love looking at it

"They really do look like you, well, except for the little girl, she's Lacey's carbon copy"

Justin says with a smile as he shows the picture to his dad and brother James took the photo from Justin and I swear I heard a sob coming from his mouth when he did

"She looks so beautiful and happy, I don't think I've ever seen her so happy before in her life even when she was with Dylan" He says and I groaned at the mention of that prick's name

"That's because her love for me is completely different from when she loved that prick and our love is ten times stronger for each other, you may not like it and you may not be happy that Lacey now belongs to me but you need to accept it" "We do accept it, son, we were just shocked that you guys were married"

James says and I narrow my eyes at him

"It shouldn't be that shocking to you all

James considering I asked both you and Justin for your permission to let me marry her".

I say and he looks at me shocked

"I didn't think you were being serious"

Yeah, that old f*****g chestnut

"Wait, you knew where she was this whole time and didn't tell us?"

Liam asked me and I had to resist the urge to roll my eyes like a teenage girl and facepalm

"Of course I didn't know, i***t, do you seriously think Lacey and I would be newlyweds if I knew where she was this entire time? do you think our triplets would be the only kids we would have now if I knew where she was, huh?"

I growl at him

"Look, I didn't know, ok, I only found out recently where she was and I wasted no time in going to see her and bringing her back home where she belongs".

"Do you think she'll ever forgive us?"

Liam asks sadly and I let out a sigh..

"I honestly don't know, Liam, only Lacey knows if she can forgive you all or not"

I tell them honestly and they all dropped their heads in defeat.

Urgh!!, I hate seeing them like this

I thought to myself while sighing

"Look...you guys and your family need to realise that you all have deeply hurt my wife...if you really want her forgiveness then you need to own up to everything you've done instead of playing the victims and making Lacey out to be the villain, you also need to make things right with not only her but with the public and the media as well...GiGi wasn't the first one to tarnish Lacey's reputation with lies, her own family was and it's not right or fair...she doesn't deserve that"

I say and they nod their heads

"You're right she doesn't and we plan on rectifying that"

"How?"

I ask and James shakes his head

"I don't know but I'm..no, we're willing to do anything it takes to get our princess back and to be grandparents and uncles to these precious babies"

"I hope so"

And I really do

I hope the Carpenters can make things right with my wife, not just for them or for Lacey but also for our kids as well

They deserve both sides of their family not just mine
