It had been one month since I started feeling that deep feeling in my chest. Love. The craziest, happiest, loveliest, erotic feeling and I was loving each moment of it. I had fallen in love with him. Christian.

Since the day I had given him a chance, suddenly I had started seeing a different side of him in front of me. Everything had changed, from his attitude towards me to his manners. He made each moment special for me. Every day I woke up with a new surprise and slept with a smile on my face with my small body entangled with his large one on the bed. He had started driving me crazy. I did not even recognize these feelings at all. From the day I had come here to live in his pack to this day today, I had experienced an enormous difference in everything.

We had not mated yet. He wanted to mark me as soon as possible because from time to time, his possessiveness over me leapt out like a wild animal from the jungle. And that was also the only thing that scared me the most. He was ready to kill anyone who even remotely tried to get close to me or even gave me a smile. It made me happy that he felt protective over me, but when things went over my head, it freaked me out. I was not sure if all the boys were the same or not, but Christian was definitely someone not to mess with when it came to me. He said he wanted to make our mating day special for me. He wanted to give me time to feel secure and comfortable enough around himself. It somewhat touched my heart. And fortunately, that day, our mating day was today. As far as I got to know from our pack members, they said that the mating was something like human marriage for werewolves.

And between all the chaos of adjusting myself to my new surroundings and getting used to everything that was not humane, I came more close to Kai. I had to admit that when it came to friendships, he was the best one I had ever had. We had gotten used to teasing each other, playing stupid pranks on each other and then playing games together, anything that included fun, and Kai and I were there. We were like two years old kids when we were together, doing stupid things and then laughing our asses off. Being with Kai was fun and happiness that gave me warmth and comfort both in my unknown surroundings. I was thankful for it.

But again... Christian- the king of possessive alpha males.

Whenever I was with Kai, he always found excuses to come and drag me away with himself to our bedroom and then threaten me to not go close to any other male again. I ignored it half of the time, to be honest. Most of the time to pick on him, the rest of the time because Kai was fun to be around and I did not have any wrong ideas in my mind about him so there was no point in being afraid of Christian. I felt intimidated by Christian's threats, but I did not take them to the heart.

To my annoyance, he also dragged me to his pack meetings. He wanted me to learn more about his pack, the duties as a Luna, and how everything worked in the werewolf world. I felt bored in those meetings even though listening to the things that I did not even know existed entertained me. It all started when an old lady in the pack suggested Christian take me to the pack meetings to earn experience and officially become a part of them so that like the Luna's of other packs, I could also give my suggestions, opinions and decisions. After that day, there was not even one meeting that he did not drag me to with himself. The only good outcome of those meetings was that to convince me to go with him to those meetings, he showered me with chocolates and gifts. I became weak.

Even more annoying thing was that attending those meetings was actually paying off. I got to know so much about Christian's pack. Their lifestyles, problems and everything else that mattered.

My attention shifted back to present when my eyes shot to the watch on the wall, and immediately jumped up from the couch realizing I was late for the meeting being held today. It was an important one at that because the alphas of various packs were going to attend it for a discussion.

I ran towards the office hall and knocked on the door softly as soon as my breathing came back to normal. The chairs were filled with alphas of different packs. I did not recognize any of them. Christian sat at the head table. I gave a soft, hesitant smile to everyone and went to sit on the chair that was placed right next to him. As soon as I sat down, Christian's hand came to settle on my thigh, gripping gently before giving a soft squeeze of encouragement. I looked up at his face only to find it emotionless as he stared at everyone in the room. I sighed aloud, and the meeting started.

As the meeting continued on and on, I had started realizing that something was not right. Through everything I had learnt so far, one thing that I had noticed was that majority of these people that put out a proposal were focused on getting majority of profit on their hands instead of getting a fair portion. And even though I did not know much about werewolves, my sixth sense was already giving me major warning signs for the proposal that was being offered by Alpha Boris that kept going on and on about how his pack had achieved a major success and wanted to extend it as a profit towards Christian's pack too. The deal he was offering felt like once in a lifetime opportunity but in reality it was too risky to invest in. Christian's face was emotionless, I could not gauze if he was ready to agree or refuse but as far as I could guess, he looked convinced from the presentation as well as the other alphas sitting around the table.

For some reason, I could not hold back myself anymore from speaking up and interfering,

"Christian, I think it is not a good thing for us." I blurted out as my eyes slid to him for support, "don't you think that the risk is not worth investing such a large amount?"

Everyone in the room looked at me curiously except alpha Boris, whose face looked like a cat caught in the spotlight.
