Chloe could totally relate to what Connor was going through at that moment. He wasn't indifferent to Diana, not by a long shot. In fact, he felt deeply for her. Over the years, he'd come to see Diana as a reflection of himself. Sharing similar struggles, Connor had always gone above and beyond to protect her, just like he would've protected his younger, more vulnerable self. He'd hoped that one day she'd be strong enough to stand on her own two feet. But things didn't pan out the way he'd envisioned. Diana's current situation was, frankly, heartbreaking. Yet now, she was blaming Connor for the tragic turns in her life. For Connor, this was like a dagger to the heart. Connor let out a heavy sigh and absent-mindedly set the music box he was holding on the dessert table nearby. "Looks like we might be facing another rival. You worried?" he asked Chloe.

Chloe shook her head, "We just need to keep our wits about us."

Not everything about tonight was a bummer, though. Chloe had bumped into Faith and Juztin. Catching up with old friends really brightened her mood. Faith and Chloe chatted for a while before wandering around the dessert tables. Meanwhile, Juztin seemed lost in thought.

Chloe tapped her glass against his, "Your latest movie is killing it at the box office and with critics - that's a huge win. Why the long face?"

Juztin glanced around to make sure no one was eavesdropping, then leaned in closer to Chloe, "Chloe, I've got a bit of a dilemma and I was hoping you could lend a hand."

Chloe was taken aback, "We're not exactly in the same circles, how can I help?"

Juztin was the talk of the town, a hot commodity in the entertainment industry. Top directors from all over were clamoring for him, and his stock was through the roof. Even Claire, who usually looked down on folks in the industry, had been nice to him.

A thought crossed Chloe's mind. "Is Claire interested in you?"

Juztin paused, "What are you talking about?"

Chloe chuckled, "Just kidding."

Taking a sip of her wine, Chloe continued, "So, what's this problem you're facing?" Juztin looked down, speaking softly, "My girlfriend's giving me the silent treatment."

Chloe almost spat out her wine. The great leading man, troubled by such a typical love issue. She knew from working on a reality show together that Juztin had a girlfriend. And she wasn in the industry. The media had been relentless in trying to uncover her identity, but he had done a stellar job keeping her out of the spotlight.

Chloe shook her head, "Juztin, if your girlfriend not talking to you, I'm not

Chloe's eyes widened in shock, "Juztin! Belle is only nineteen, how could you even think of dating her!"

Juztin was twenty-eight and had

been a major player in the

entertainment world for a decade. It wasn't that he was old, but the age difference was definitely something to consider. Chloe never would have guessed that Belle was Juztin's girlfriend.
