Demon War: Rise of the Alpha Chapter 74

As Rhea walked over to her mother's side, Freya, Wyatt and Jason walked up. She watched as her mother's ees met with Freya's and motioned for the girl to join them as well. Freya patted Wyatt's arm and then walked over curiously to Rhea and Lilly. "Walk with me." Lilly said in a gentle calm tone. The two girls smiled and nodded their heads. They looked at one another as they followed behind the blonde haired beauty. Looks were deceiving in Lilly's case. She still looked just as young and beautiful as she did when she first met Tyler. A regular human would mistake her for a young girl. As they got farther away from the group Rhea noticed another woman coming out from the pine trees. "Grandma?" Rhea said with a confused smile. She rushed up to her and wrapped her arms around her She had not seen her grandma Alice in quite some time.

"Rhea. Look at you, you look stunning." Alice then raised her eyes to meet with Freya. "And you are Wyatt's beautiful mate, Freya. I have seen you before in my visions. Though, I think you are more stunning in person."

"Thank you." Freya said shyly. "You've had visions of me?" She tilted her head to the side as she asked curiously.

"Yes... I have. Several in fact. But I don't know which future we will get." Alice said with a frown. "The goddess and priestess can't see a clear future either." She then looked up at Lilly. "Are we far enough away? You know what... I want to be safe about this." Alice raised her hand up and a green transparent light engulfed them. "There, now no one can hear what is going on here."

"Is this secrecy completely necessary?" Rhea giggled but the smile quickly disappeared as she saw her mother and grandmother's serious faces.

Lilly walked up to Rhea and reached towards her neck. She felt downward until she felt what she was looking for. "It's here..." Lilly said with a frown. She then looked back at Rhea in anger. "Damnit Rhea. What the hell are you thinking?!"

"Mom... I have to. I can't... I have to. How did you know? I... did you have... what happened in those premonitions?" Rhea asked wide eyed.

"Okay... what am I missing?" Freya looked at Rhea and could see her worried eyes. She protectively walked next to Rhea. Even though they were her family she still felt protective over her.

Lilly looked at Freya and frowned. She tapped her hand against her head. "I hate this, but I can't blame you. Either of you. But damn what a time..."

"Wait either of us?" Rhea said and looked at Freya. "You too?!"

"Me too what now?" Freya looked up as Lilly stared her down.

"We know." Alice said calmly.

Freya gulped and looked backwards. "You are sure they can't hear?"

Alice smiled and nodded her head. "Looks like someone finally figured out how to keep a secret." She looked at Rhea who smiled sheepishly.

"So, you are pregnant too?!" Freya asked, looking at Rhea.

Rhea smiled. "I guess congratulations to you too?" She chuckled dryly.

"If Wyatt finds out..." Freya looked up and shook her head.

"Can you imagine if Lee knew too? He has been so preoccupied lately that is the only way I have managed to keep this from him." Rhea bit her bottom lip nervously. "He is already looking for any reason to lock me up." "What did you see in your visions? How did you know?" Freya asked. She was a little bit unnerved how they knew about her.

"We have seen many different futures. Every scenario. So don't be alarmed about what we are going to tell you because nothing is certain." Lilly said and she looked between the two girls. "How bad is the separation from Lee? Does that amulet from the Grandpa Sage work?"

"The amulet draws in Lee's energy when he is in the vicinity of me. So, when he is away my body slowly draws what it needs from the energy sealed in it. For now, it has worked." Rhea watched as her mother nodded her head.

"If you get stuck in the black hole... you will be in immense pain. We have both seen it. Well blurred glimpses of it. It is hard to see clearly there." Lilly then looked at Freya. "We have seen you heavy with child and alone. You continually wait and watch for Wyatt to return. We have seen a future where you are close to giving birth and he still isn't by your side. We have also seen the four pregnant Locke girls together. Sitting at a table eating watermelon and drinking lemonade. You are all happy... The premonitions keep changing and each has a different scenario. Some visions were without Freya and Rhea. But when we saw you both you were always pregnant in every single one of the premonitions. This told us one thing. That you two were already expecting. That part of the future is never changing which means it is set."

"But we don't know where Rhea will be giving birth or if Freya will be alive, pregnant and alone or if Wyatt makes it back. We don't know. I was able to see the amulet that the Great Sage had given Rhea. And from the vision I was able to understand what it did better." Alice looked up at Rhea. "You don't have to go into the black hole now. If you can't make it out... it will be a very hard pregnancy for you."

"I know grandma. I know. I've thought about this. I feel like this is something that I need to do." Rhea appreciated her for what she was saying. But she had given this a lot of thought. This was something she knew was important for her to do.

"You know how me and your father work. He already knows everything. But we agreed we will not say anything. The truth is..." Lilly looked at Rhea and Freya. She gave them both a small smile. "I understand. I don't like it but if it were me... Hell it was me. When I was pregnant, I fought against Abaddon. Now it got sprung on us and I didn't have a choice. However, I would have chosen to fight anyways. And being completely honest... if I was in the same situation that you are in now, I would also fight." Lilly grabbed each girl's hand and squeezed it.

"Everyone is going to make it and be together after this. And we are going to have a whole new generation being born. With all these new babies it is going to be so much fun." Lilly pulled both girls closer and wrapped her arms around them both. "Be careful out there. And your mates are going to be livid when they find out." Lilly chuckled as the two girls laughed, nodding their heads.

"They'll be mad but once the danger is over, I think they will be more focused on the excitement." Rhea bit her bottom lip. At least she hoped so.

"Hey, I told Wyatt if he got me pregnant, I would fight anyways. I wasn't joking... though when I said it... it may have seemed like a joke." Freya giggled and shrugged. "I'm fighting for a future that my child can live in. Me hiding to keep us safe means nothing if we don't succeed."

"Freya and I have a different circumstance than Kelsie and Jin. I am the fairy princess and the Gemini twin. Freya is the Queen of the werewolves. We have to be here. Our powers are needed." Rhea looked at Freya. "Can we just take a second though and be super excited for each other!"

Freya giggled. "So is this another twin thing? You and Wyatt had to make sure you both were having kids at the same time? I got pulled into some weird twin world, haven't I?"

Rhea giggled and then her eyes widened. "Gosh I didn't think about that. I wonder if we are due around the same time too?"

"After all of this is over, I think it is time for a proper examination. I say we book the four of you and hook up four screens. We can compare gestation times then." Lilly had to focus on the positive. They couldn't worry about what might happen. She had too many precious loved ones fighting. Instead, she would focus on life. And making sure they end this war once and for all. It was time for her family to finally have peace.

"Freya." Lilly said and watched as the girls' green eyes lifted up to meet hers. "Trust yourself and your instincts. Your fairy power calls out to you when it knows it can help. Believe in yourself and concentrate on that power when it happens. As fairies we discover our powers for ourselves. There seems to be more to you... and more to your fiery wolf."

"About that. I don't think I am going to fight in my wolf form. It isn't that I don't trust my wolf. But I am an experienced fighter as is. I think I can be more effective in this body. But if I think I need to, I won't hesitate to bring Ember forward." Freya hoped they didn't try to argue with her over this. She really felt she would be nimbler and would be an efficient killer in her current form.

"Fight however you feel most comfortable, Freya. You have plenty of time to hone your skills with your wolf. You were not born a werewolf. It is natural that you would not already feel comfortable fighting as one." Lilly agreed with Freya, and it made sense. Alice walked forward and hugged the three women in her arms. "I've never been a fighter. Elysium is relying on you all for protection. I will fortify the fairy kingdom on the inside. In the worst case... we can't let the demons have Elysium. If all hope is lost then I will permanently seal Elysium and relocate the kingdom." She sighed and looked at her daughter. "One day the time for fairies and magical creatures will come to an end. And it will be the fairy queens' job to seal Elysium permanently so that no one can enter. And also, so no one can leave. I'm hoping this won't be for a long time. Like a few thousand years?" Alice giggled. "But it is our job to keep this place safe no matter what. Even sealed it will continue to be a beacon of pure light and hope for the world. It is something we must never lose."

"Don't worry mom. We are going to protect Elysium. Maybe one day Elysium will have to be sealed... but it will not be this time." Lilly smiled back at her confidently.

Alice smiled and nodded her head. "Okay. Go kick butt... or whatever it is you would say in this situation." She gave a crooked smile and they all laughed.

One day when magic was no longer wanted in the world or when Elysium was in danger of being invaded... then it would be sealed. But Lilly was right. It wouldn't be this war. Or anytime in the near future. However, that day would indeed come...
