Dr. Luna
Chapter 43

Lilly could see that Tyler was antsy seeing that a fight was about to happen. Inwardly she smiled and Kira turned and looked at him. She wagged her tail letting him know that everything was fine before she drew her attention back to the brown wolf. The pack distanced themselves from the two she wolves, everyone except Tyler and Tristan. Both men were going to stay as close to the fight as possible.

The two wolves circled each other beginning the choreographed dance of an early fight. Two sets of unreadable eyes were locked onto each other and flickered at the other. There was no fear to be found in Kira's eyes, only power and determination. The small brown wolf was intensely staring at the large black wolf, she was searching for an opportunity to strike.

Tension filled the air, the only sounds that were heard were the breathing of the two wolves and their soft paw steps as they squared off with each other. It is in that frozen split second in time that the tension is at it's highest, both waiting for the other to strike. These two could never be friends. It was clear to everyone that only one of them could remain in the pack. This fight, between the two she wolves, was about more than rank and mate. It was about acceptance, something that both wolves wanted and needed. It was about proof of power and it was about revenge.

Kira set her claws into the ground, securing her position as she waited for the brown wolf to strike. The brown wolf lunged towards Kira, who lunged back in retaliation, successfully taking the bait. The brown wolf was smaller and more nimble and she quickly spun and clawed into Kira's backside, landing a bite on her back before pouncing away again.

Kira didn't yelp but growled lowly at the cheap maneuver. Lilly could hear the internal scoffing laugh Kira made. This little brown wolf stood no chance. With a flash of speed, she attacked. There was no escape as she went straight for the brown wolf. Jessica's wolf tried to stand up on her hind legs and claw at Kira, landing a few scratches to her shoulder as Kira sunk her teeth into her leg. She shook her head, throwing her effortlessly. Before the brown wolf could recover, Kira leaped onto her, pinning her to the ground. Her teeth were bared as she leaned her head down to her neck. The little wolf could not move under the pressure of Kira's strength. Leave, you are banished from the Diamond pack. If you return, I will finish what I started. I am being benevolent towards you this time only. You are to be gone before sunset.

Kira took a few steps away, allowing for Jessica to scramble to her feet. If she attacked again, Kira would kill her. With a few whimpers, the brown wolf took off howling as she fled. Her pack sounded off loudly, cheering for their Luna. Not only did she win, but she showed mercy. They were all filled with a sense of pride over their new Luna.

Tyler walked up to her and held her head in his arms. He gently stroked her head and leaned his head into hers, lightly kissing the wolfs head. He then pulled away and looked her over, inspecting the minor wounds she had received. They were only minor wounds, but they were injuries inflicted on her. No matter how good of a friend Cody was, he could never forgive his sister for her actions. His protective nature kicked in, his eyes flickered darkly as he looked at her lacerations. Lilly was kind, too kind. She allowed Jessica to leave with her life... Jax was livid. How dare a lowly wolf injure his mate. He wanted to make an example out of Jessica, to show others what would happen if they ever touched the Diamond pack's Luna. But this was Lilly's call. She was the one who decided Jessica's fate. Tyler had to love her sweet and forgiving nature though. He messed up so much in the beginning. If it wasn't for that, he may not have her by his side now.

Are you okay? Tyler asked, as he moved back up to her face. Kira sneezed at him and opened her mouth with her tongue hanging out, panting happily. As if a tiny wolf like that could really hurt her?

Tyler chuckled and then roughed the hair up on her head. Let's get you back and showered so we can get our movie night started.

Lilly came down from the shower and turned into the kitchen. She stood there staring, looking over all the junk food that Avery had gotten.

"Wow you got everything!" Lilly grinned as she looked at all the mouthwatering goodness.

"Everything, but the licorice." Avery winked at her and the two giggled.

Lilly watched as Cedric and Tristan began to make their way over to the couches. "Ah ah ah... where are you two going? Get back over here. You are helping." Lilly flashed them a wide grin as the two men moaned in protest. "You will have no problem eating the food. You can at least help prepare the spread." Avery chimed in, in agreement.

"Cedric, you can make the punch. Tristan, you are going to help me make the cookies!" Lilly excitedly bounced over into the kitchen and Tristan slowly followed her. He was happy though. Seeing Lilly so excited and being the most normal he had ever seen her warmed his heart. He would do anything to keep her smiling, even if that meant baking cookies.

Tyler was slowly walking back to the pack house. He was seeing Jessica off, but not for any sentimental reasons. He gave her a final warning as she left. He wanted her to know that her being allowed to leave was an act of mercy and that she should be grateful to Lilly for that. He told her that she would never be welcomed again in the Diamond pack territory and that if she ever did anything again to cause harm to Lilly that he would personally kill her. He watched the taxi drive her away out of sight before he returned back to the pack house. He hoped that allowing her to live would not be a mistake. As he reached the house, Kade and Caleb were also returning, all at the same time the pizza had arrived.

There were so many boxes of pizza, but when you consider there are four male werewolves and one werebear, it was probably just about right. Tyler's eyes met with Lilly's as he walked in. She was the first person he was looking for. He walked up to her and pulled her into his embrace.

"You smell delicious." Tyler growled lowly in her ear.

"I was making cookies." Lilly giggled.

"No, it's not the cookies." He whispered quietly into her ear causing that evil red glow to seize her cheeks again.

Lilly spun and grabbed a cookie and shoved it into his mouth. If he was wanting dessert first, then he could eat a cookie. She was having her movie party.

"Not exactly what I was wanting, but it'll suffice for now." Tyler pulled her out in front of him so he could look her over. She had a bandage on her leg and on her shoulder from her fight earlier. He frowned and gently inspected her bandages closer. He leaned down and kissed her shoulder, resting his head into the crook of her neck.

"Tyler, you're not worrying about me, now are you? They are just minor wounds and are already almost nothing. The bandages are just there as an abundance of caution." Lilly leaned her head into his and whispered quietly into his ear.

She felt him nuzzle his head into her neck as he wrapped his arms around her. She felt him breath in her scent and lay sieges of small kisses on her neck. She giggled and leaned her head into him. "You better behave yourself or I won't be sitting with you during the movies." She felt him chuckle into her skin before he planted one more kiss, right on her marking spot. The kiss sent a swarm of red-hot tingles through her body.

He pulled away and kissed her forehead. "I know I don't need to tell you this, but you are amazing."

"If you two keep this up we won't be having a movie night because you're going to end up in the bedroom." Avery flicked Tyler's arm as she walked by holding some pens and paper.

"Okay everyone. Write your movie down and toss it into the hat." Avery tossed hers in first and everyone else followed suit. She then reached in and pulled out a piece of paper. "Paranormal Activity." Avery waved the paper around and eyed the men around her trying to figure out who picked that movie.

Lilly chewed on her bottom lip. She left the room when Aaron and Mattie were watching that movie. She couldn't take it. Some big bad werewolf she was. She sighed as she looked over the triumphant men looking around her. They were just happy it wasn't a chick flick.

"Don't worry Lill, I'll protect you." Tyler squeezed her tightly and then grabbed them a couple plates of food. She followed him into the theatre section of the pack house. Everyone began taking their seats and were chatting happily among themselves.

She took her seat in between Tyler's legs and leaned her head back into him. She felt his large comforting arm swing around her, holding gentle into him. Jessica was banished from the pack and she found out that she was the fairy princess; she may have seen dragons and a werebear fight, but this was close enough to a normal day for her. And it was a great way to end it. Surrounded by friends, with tons of yummy food, she couldn't remember feeling so content.

With a smile she thought, Bring on the scary movie, I can handle it this time!
