Dr. Luna
Chapter 44

Lilly sat there with her fingers in her ears and she softly hummed to herself as she watched the movie in front of her. Tyler leaned forward and chuckled near her ear. "What are you doing?"

"The noise and music are a big factor in a scary movie. If I take that away I can at least watch the movie. Shhh." Lilly used her shoulder and brushed him away. She could feel his chest vibrate as he laughed at her. Look, she had no problem fighting a pack of rogues or facing off with a demon, but she drew the line with scary movies. What sick person invented them?

It was towards the end of the movie when a body came flying towards the screen, she jumped and hopped up. Nope, nope, nope and nope. She fled to the kitchen and dished her out some popcorn. Her heart was pounding in her chest. She began humming her song from earlier as she bent down in the fridge picking out something cold to drink. She was trying to drown out the sounds from the movie that was still playing in the background. She felt a pair of warm hands snake around her waist as she shut the fridge door. She was pulled back and was leaning back into a warm chest. She felt the rumbling of the chest from laughter as she spun around in his arms.

"You aren't really scared of a movie, are you?" Tyler leaned down and smiled as he kissed her forehead.

"Don't make fun of me." Lilly swatted her hand at him as he gently caught it with his own hand. He drew her hand up to his lips and delicately kissed her hand.

"We don't have to watch movies if you are afraid." His voice was suggestive and low as he stared at the emerald eyes in front of him.

"Ha, nice try. You are just afraid you are going to have to watch a chick flick next." Lilly moved her fingers up from his lips and flicked his nose gently. Little did he know that she had plans for them later that night. Something had been delayed for far too long because of everything that had happened. It was something that she felt she needed to do; she needed to mark her mate. Another movie was definitely in order first, hopefully something cheerful with a happy ending.

Lilly stared at the words she drew out of the hat. This is what happens when there are five guys putting their picks in and only two girls. But seriously, what were the odds of this happening?! "What does it say Lilly?" Caleb asked, as he came to her side. He read the words and busted out laughing. "Paranormal Activity 2, Ahahahaha!"

"Aww, poor Lilly." Avery walked over to her and put her arm around her. "We don't have to watch it toots."

"No, a deal is a deal. I don't want anyone complaining when we have to binge chick flics another day, so I won't complain now." Lilly huffed... sleep would definitely not be coming to her tonight.

"What I find creepy is that there were two people who voted for practically the same movie. And who in the heck picks a sequel as their pick?" Tristan eyed the men up around him. He wondered who picked what?

"Lilly is sitting with me through this movie." Avery pulled Lilly along with her. "If the guys are picking scary movies just to scare us, then we won't sit with them." She whispered quietly in Lilly's ear. "Aww, Avey, baby. I want to hold you." Caleb whined as he followed behind them.

"Too bad." Avery snorted.

Tyler was also sulking as he walked into the room. Talk about your all-time backfire. He just wanted to hold Lilly close and feel her snuggle deep into him. He sat on the couch and eyed Lilly as she sat on some bean bags with Avery.

Kade flipped off all the lights before he came in, followed by Cedric and Tristan. Kade was acting like a child on Christmas as he hopped on the recliner with his bowl of popcorn. It was safe to say that one of these movies was definitely his pick.

The movie was about three quarters of the way in. Lilly's heart raced like a hummingbird and her whole body was tense. What was worse? She had to pee. The house was pitch black and the bathroom was located at the other end of the house. She leaned towards Avery. "I'll be right back; I have to pee." Avery nodded to her but was glued to the movie. Lilly slid off the bean bag and discreetly snuck out of the room.

She tip-toed through the dark house of unparalleled paranormal danger and managed to safely reach the safe room... the bathroom. She quickly peed and washed her hands before she had to run the gauntlet again. She entered the dark abyss as the sounds of loud stomping were heard from the home theatre speakers. Each thud thumped in her chest making her mouth dry. A small shudder crept up her body as she inched towards the kitchen so that she could get a drink to quench the cotton throat that had formed. She reached out to flip on the light.

The loud clash of noise ripped through the air. Lilly screeched and frantically flipped the switch back off. It was the garbage disposal, not the light switch. Lilly slid up against the counter and slid down onto the floor. Her heart had not exploded though she thought it was going to. She sat her head in her hands and began to giggle at herself softly. The evil paranormal garbage disposal got her.

The lights flipped on and she felt a pair of warm hands around her arms. She glanced up out of her hands to see several pairs of concerned eyes looking down at her. She fully lifted her head while giggling seeing everyone sigh in relief, seeing she was okay. Tyler, who was kneeling in front of her, let out a breath and pulled her into his arms. She giggled into his chest and looked up at him.

"I accidentally turned on the garbage disposal." Lilly scrunched her nose up and stuck her tongue out a bit.

It wasn't long after that, that the room erupted in laughter. She could feel the gentle vibrations of Tyler's chest as he held her in his arms.

"Geez Lilly, you gave us all a heart attack." Tristan leaned on the counter and continued to chuckle in his hands.

"Funny, a house full of tough shifters all jumped at the sound of the loud noise and your shriek." Avery giggled and turned back to return to the movie.

Tyler lifted Lilly in his arms. "You are sitting with me for the rest of the movie."

"Wait, I still need my drink." Lilly giggled as she wiggled out of his arms. She scurried over to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water. Tyler hooked her in his arms again and corralled her back to the couch. He sat down and then snared her hips in his hands, plopping her down between his legs.

Kade settled back into his chair with his renewed bowl of popcorn and turned the movie back on. Of course, it was right at a high suspense scene. Lilly squeezed her body as deep as she could into Tyler. The loud thumping of footsteps was heard again, and she buried her head under his arm.

She felt his strong arms curl around her as his fingertips gentle played with her exposed skin on her arm. She felt her body relaxing, leaning deeper into him (if that were possible). His hands gently caressing her skin, unconsciously (maybe) stimulating the butterflies in her stomach. Her breath caught in her throat as she felt the warmth of his breath nearing her neck.

Okay, he is definitely trying to torture me, Lilly thought as she felt a shudder slip down her spine. That small involuntary movement was her queue to escape before it was too late. She pulled away as quick as lightning. She heard a small, quieted groan escape his lips in frustration. Yeah, he was definitely trying something there. Lilly smirked at him and playfully patted his leg as she moved out of reach onto the floor. He wasn't the one who was calling the shots this time... okay he still was which was why she had to escape. She felt the betraying heat settle in her cheeks and she was glad that the lights were off so he couldn't see the effect he was having on her.

THUMP THUMP THUMP

Nothing like a scary movie to help destroy the mood, in a sense she was thankful to that too. She was the one who had plans for him... though it seemed like they both had plans for each other. Lilly popped her fingers back in her ears determined not to break under the fear torture movie.

The lights flipped on and everyone was getting up and stretching.

"So, what did you think Lilly?" Kade asked in overeager excitement.

"I now know what sick psychological movies tickle your fancy and I think I'm going to have to sleep with the light on for weeks." Lilly slowly drew herself up from the floor, feeling the extra set of hands aiding her from behind.

"Well you already watched one and two... you have to finish the series now." Kade grinned widely and she turned and glared daggers at him. She then pulled out the fake sad pout.

"You really enjoy tormenting me that much to make me watch more of those films." Lilly lowered her head and stuck out her bottom lip.

"Nice try,but won't work on me princess." Kade grinned and Lilly giggled and shrugged him off.

"Fine I'll finish your series, but then you all have to watch the Love saga with me." Lilly beamed in triumph as the men held up their hands in pure fear and anguish.

"Who's game for another movie?" Kade asked as he held up Paranormal Activity three.

Tristan and Cedric hopped back on the cough both declaring they were game.

"As much as I'd love to, I have early patrol tomorrow so I'm out." Caleb said and tugged Avery along with him.

"Yea, you can forget it. I am not watching another one of those movies." Lilly waved the pups off and then waltzed up the stairs. She could hear Tyler quietly following her, she knew exactly what was on his mind, but she was going to play with him a bit.
