Dr. Luna -
Chapter 46
A thunderous growl ripped in the air as a man glared out in the distance angrily. He looked at the group of men in front of him and scowled at them. He did not like what he had just heard. His princess was already mated and to the Alpha of the Diamond pack no less. He was late in retrieving his prize, her damn mother made sure of that. He hoped he still had time to claim her, but time was running out. He was strong but it would be suicide to waltz into the Diamond pack to take her. On top of that a wretched guardian was already with her. This complicated things. Even for him, a guardian was a potential threat, because of what they were able to do. Every guardian had a double-edged sword that they could use if the situation was desperate. He would have to move forward quickly but cautiously.
There was something he wanted from the princess, something he wanted desperately. He had a plan laid out in his mind and the princess was the key. He wanted control over Elysium, and he needed the princess for his plans. He missed his chance once; he couldn't afford to miss it again. He found her briefly right outside of the Diamond pack territory, he was even close enough to communicate to her in her mind, but then she disappeared again. One of his abilities was that he could link his mind to whomever he wanted to open communication with.
"Gather my allies. We are going to have to make our move soon. Do it secretively and quietly. We can't allow unwanted ears getting wind of our plan."
The men bowed their head to the man "Yes, Lord Abaddon."
His dark eyes glared in front of him as a chill swirled in the air. This princess was a prize that he had to capture. He wasn't sure how tough she was or if she would even put up a fight, but he would have to be prepared. Her mother was a pacifist and, deep down, he was hoping her daughter was as well. He didn't have alpha blood running through his wolf half so that would already set him at a disadvantage. She was also stronger, since she was mated to a strong Alpha and then, on top of that, she was the fairy princess. If she did fight, he would need his pack of half demons to help subdue her. He also had another dirty ability up his sleeve that should come in handy. Soon, very soon, he would have his allies ready to go to her.
Abaddon clenched his fist and gritted his jaw. It better not already be too late.

The sun was shining in when Lilly finally began to stir awake. She was trapped deep in a secure embrace and was intoxicated with his heavenly scent. She felt a deep contentment, but it wasn't just her own. A deep powerful emotion washed through her of love and devotion, and while she felt this way, these were not her feelings. She looked up from her arm prison and met with Tyler's eyes that were lovingly staring at her. These were Tyler's emotions! How was she feeling what Tyler was feeling?
It's rare. I've only heard of this happening a couple times before. It's a sign of being soul mates. Tyler's thoughts rang into Lilly's head.
You know what I am thinking too?! Without me willing it into your mind? Lilly gasped as he answered her quiet thoughts.
Tyler chuckled and kissed her forehead tenderly. Yes, I can feel what you are thinking.
So much for Christmas surprises... Lilly giggled and looked at Tyler in wonder. It was an amazing gift to be able to feel how he felt about her. She could never have insecurities this way, because she would always know how he felt.
"I love you too Lilly." Tyler plucked her chin up and deeply pressed his lips against hers. The warm kiss lingered with an intensity that had both of them clouding over. They could feel each other's response to the other which only made the hunger for the other more intense. The kissing was becoming more urgent and demanding, both bodies responding to the feeling of the other.
A burning sensation starting to stab in Lilly's stomach which made her snap her head back at the sudden pain. It came and went so quickly but was enough to shatter her out of the intimate moment. She didn't know what the feeling was, but it wasn't bothering her anymore so she wasn't going to worry about it.
"What was that?" Tyler asked being able to feel it too.
"You were able to feel it too?" Lilly raised her eyes and looked at him widely.
"I could, but it was different. I knew it wasn't my pain, but yours... I hope this doesn't mean that I will feel childbirth too." Tyler looked at her with a bit of concern.
Lilly giggled. "Aww, big tough Alpha is afraid of the pain from childbirth. Anyways, the pain is gone now so maybe it was a weird hunger pain. I am feeling pretty hungry."
"Me too." Tyler grinned and kissed her forehead. "We can continue this later."
Lilly giggled and let him help her out of bed. Within a few moments the two were making their way down the stairs and into the kitchen.
Kade had made ham and cheese breakfast sandwiches, that smelled amazing! Lilly squealed in delight as she took a seat that had a steamy sandwich sitting in front of it.
"Kade, I love you so much right now!" Lilly beamed as she took a huge bite of her sandwich.
Kade froze for a moment and immediately looked at the possessive Alpha who sat beside her.
"I love you too Kade!" Tyler said as he also took a huge bite of the sandwich.
Kade looked between the two feeling thoroughly creeped out. Tristan pulled up a seat across from the table just as Cedric walked into the pack house.
"You better have made enough for everyone Kade." Cedric smiled as he eyed the big tray of sandwiches sitting in the middle of the table. He then glanced as Kade's confused looking face as he took his seat. "What's up with you?"
"Umm Lilly told me she loved me and instead of Tyler getting all green eyed jealous he simply said he loved me too.... The universe is at a tilt. Something bad is going to happen." Kade said, as he scooted into his seat, eyeing his Alpha suspiciously. All of the sudden his eyes grew wide. "Is that... Tyler are you MARKED?!"
"What?! Let me see!" Avery bounced down the stairs and eyed her cousins' neck. "Atta girl Lilly! You show that Alpha who owns who."
Wow I am surprised he isn't embarrassed over this. Lilly thought to herself.
What's there to be embarrassed about? I'm actually quite proud of my mark. If I had long hair I would be wearing it up today. Tyler winked at her as he took another bite of his sandwich.
Hey quit listening to my thoughts. Lilly scolded.
Can't. They just pop into my head. Better quit thinking. Tyler grinned as he looked over at Lilly who was giving him a crooked smile.
"It's rude to mind link like that in front of us." Avery pouted not knowing what the two were saying.
"Actually... we weren't mind linking." Lilly said quietly and suddenly she had everyone's attention.
"I
I guess we are soul mates. After she marked me last night, we can now hear each other's thoughts and feel what the other feels. Which is why I didn't get jealous, Kade. There wasn't an ounce of her that was thinking about you. What she was really saying was she loved your sandwiches. At least that's all her head was screaming." Tyler smirked as he finished the last bite of his food. "They are delicious!" "Wait... you can even feel each other's pain? What about childbirth man?!" Kade asked and noticed the small gulp in Tyler's throat.
"Ahahahaha sucks to be you." Tristan started laughing and then looked at Tyler seriously. "So, is that normal? To feel what each other is feeling and hear each other's thoughts after both being marked?" Tristan was a werebear after all, not a werewolf.
"No. It's very rare. First, it is rare to have a shewolf dominant enough to have the drive to mark her mate. Avery has never marked Caleb. It doesn't mean they don't want them, but that their wolves don't have that pull. Then, on top of that, to also be emotionally and physically connected... I know it has happened before, or at least it is rumored to have happened before. Though no one knows of anyone. So, yea... that rare." Cedric said with a small chuckle.
"CEDRIC!!!! YES!" Tyler yelled causing everyone to jump. Lilly immediately started giggling.
"I don't think so, Ty." Lilly was giggling as she saw him look and frown to her.
"Aww, Lills." Tyler whined and slunk back in his seat.
You want him in the birthing room too? Lilly raised an eye up looking at Tyler who finally screwed the light bulb into his brain.
"What?" Cedric asked cautiously.
"He was going to use your barrier abilities so that in the future he wouldn't have to feel childbirth. That is, until he realized you would have to be in the birthing room too, since you have to have a physical connection to Tyler." Lilly watched as Cedric's lips curved upwards.
"You could always have Tristan in there. After all, his job is to take the pain away anyways." Cedric gave Tristan an evil glare.
"All this talk about babies... I mean Lilly are you trying to tell us you're pregnant?" Tristan grabbed another sandwich not even looking up.
"Okay, one. I love you all, but I am not about to share my birthing experience with everyone, so Tyler s**k it up. And two.... I am not pregnant, so we can change the topic." Lilly turned and looked at Cedric. "But I wonder if you could do like a mental block on us for special occasions so we can still surprise the other..."
"I can probably do something like that, but can only hold it up for maybe a week or so. I know I can on Tyler, but you will be tricky because of your magic. It will have to be trial and error." Cedric was deep in thought trying to think how he could manage something like that with the princess.
"Cedric..." Lilly bit her bottom lip suddenly serious. Tyler put his arm around her and gently rubbed her back. He already knew what she was thinking, thanks to being soul mates.
"Thank you... for being there for me then. You were my friend back then and it must have been hard for you. With me not remembering you." Lilly was quiet. She watched the gentle smile spread across Cedric's face.
"Keeping you safe was all I ever cared about, even back then as a child. When I first met you and felt the spark when we first touched, I thought it was interesting how your suppressed magic recognized me. I also knew I had to be careful not to release your seal. It wasn't hard because I knew that you would remember me again." Cedric then frowned slightly. "If anything was hard, it was afterwards when you came here. Hearing how you didn't have any friends, when you really did. I have always been and always will be your friend."
"Cedric, I would like to invite you to move into the pack house with us. I have given this a lot of thought and your loyalty to Lilly is inspiring. You even ignored my dumb Alpha order so that you could still watch over her. You belong here, so please accept the offer." Tyler said as he squeezed Lilly's shoulder. "It would make us all feel better to have you close and have instant accessibility to you."
"So, you mean you want me to be a built-in bodyguard and abuse my powers?" Cedric chuckled and then nodded in agreement. "I would be honored to move into the packhouse. It makes it easier on me to continue to keep her safe." "Sooo you two still up for some training today?" Tristan grinned and looked up to Tyler and Lilly.
"Let's do it!" Lilly cheered.
Okay but take it easy I don't want you getting hurt. Tyler frowned as he looked over at his precious princess. He knew it was necessary to train, but he still wished he could wrap her up in a bubble and keep her safe. Lilly smiled and leaned up and kissed Tyler's jawline. "This will be fun... even if you are going to get your butt kicked by Tristan."
Tyler chuckled and then looked over at Tristan. "It will be nice to have someone I can go all out on without having to worry about hurting him."
"Yea, now if I only had someone like that." Tristan grinned and Tyler let out a dark chuckle.
"You better go all in with me or you will find yourself in trouble." Tyler smirked as he stood up. This was going to be an interesting face off for sure. Tyler had new powers and couldn't wait to see what he could do.
