Carlos offered a poker face when he entered the bar. Nobody dared to even say a word to him.

Carlos was disgusted by a smell of cheap cigarette the moment he came in.

Compared with Royrd, this bar is a place of gutter, in chaos like a war field where the fire just got started.

It didn’t take him for long to find Edith. She was sitting by the bar table in the corner, drinking.

You could tell she didn’t belong to this place the moment you saw her. Edith was like a rose growing from thistles and

thoms.

So she was extremely attractive….

A fat man with a wretched smile came to Edith and took a seat next to her.

“Heyy, gorgeous. Why are you drinking alone? You can talk to me if you like.”

Then he was trying to hold her hand.

Edith was angry with his harassment. She tried to get rid of him but failed.

She immediately became anxious and struggled with all her might.

“Get away from me! Get out!”

“Don’t be so nervous. Let’s go. I’m showing you somewhere interesting.”

When the guy was forcing Edith to go, he found that someone was in the way.

That guy was annoyed and said. “Who the fuck are you? How dare you…”

Before the guy could finish his words, Carlos grabbed his hand and gave him a punch.

was hurt so much that he finally let go of Edith.

Carlos‘ words were ruthlessly, as if they came from the abyss hell.

There were no doubts that Carlos was somebody, who had the power and strength to conquer everything,

That fat guy was absolutely scared by Carlos.

So he struggled to withdraw his hand and staggered away like a frightened rat.

Carlos turned to Edith. She smiled and reached out to his sleeve. “Uncle, why are you here? Are you coming to drink with

me?”

“What’s wrong with your face?”

Carlos was coming to scold her, but when he saw the palm print on her face, he just forgot his anger.

“I’m okay, it’ll be fine in a few days. I know you’ll always come to me like a god every time I’m in trouble. Hey! One more beer please. This gentleman is gonna drink with me! We’re getting drunk tonight!”

Soon, the beer was served. Edith opened it skillfully and handed it to Carlos, but he was not still.

She said with some distress, “Ah, I’m sorry. My uncle only drinks pricey white wine. This beer is too cheap for you…”

Before Edith could finish her sentence, Carlos grabbed the beer bottle from her and took a big gulp.

Now, tell me what happened.”

“Uncle… omnipotent. You must know what happened. Why are you asking me to tell?” She seemed to ask in confusion.

“But I want to hear you tell me what… what happened to you.”

Carlos said in a tone that brooked no refusal.

This was an order, rather than a negotiation.

Edith hesitated a bit, but she then realized that it might be a good choice to talk to someone. She might got healed by the talk, right?

So Edith sat up straight. Her face was flushed, and her eyes were a little blurred, but her voice was particularly serious.

*Uncle, ‘men are not born to be loyal in love, right? You men can fall in love with more than one woman at a time. Is that true?”
