Chapter 12

Amber POV

I called my brother. After four rings, he picked up.

“What do you want amber?”

“Is that any way to talk to your only sister?”

I didn’t give him the chance to answer my question.

“Myles Lily texted me to come over for the movie night around six tonight.”

“Okay?”

“Well, I think you should go over there around five thirty and talk to her before everyone shows up.”

“Have you seen what Broolynn and Lexi have been posting on fk?”

“There making her out to be a pack w***e and only after the ranked members.”

I could hear Myles breathing get heavy. I’m guessing he was fighting his wolf from taking over.

“I don’t care if she’s Landyns sister. I’m going to end up killing that b***h if she doesn’t stop.”

He didn’t say anything more, just hung up.

Myles POV

It took everything I had from letting Harvey take over and shift.

I calmed myself down and grabbed my phone out of my back pocket.

Sure enough first thing that popped up was pictures of Lily in my arms dancing.

Harvey literally purred in my head . “She looks good in our arms.”

These pictures were actually really adorable. I would never use that word out loud but they really were.

If a stranger seen these pictures we would of just looked like a normal couple.

Then I saw under every damn photo was “pack w***e” written under it. With the one and only Brooklyn Black under each and every comment.

Harvey roared so loud in my head. I was going to have to take him on a run later. But Lily came first.

I kept scrolling to find a picture of me and Lily snuggled asleep on her couch.

“oh s**t” I yelled out loud.

What does Lily think of this? Was my first thought and my second thought was what was Brooke even doing there to take a picture like this.

Each photo was reposted by Lexi.

I’m guessing everyone in the pack probably have seen these photos.

Then the thought came across my mind and made me want to puke. Ben’s friends with all this people on fk hes probably seen these pics.

I dont even know why I would even care if Ben saw, I guess Im just more worried that Lily would care of what he saw and thought of her.

Lily hardly ever posts any photos. Only picture she has on her fk is the one of her in a field of flowers I’m guessing behind her house.

Her arms are spread out and she’s in a light blue sundress looking up toward the sky with a huge smile on her face.

Made me wonder who took this photo. She looked stunning and so happy.

Lily was probably freaking out. At first i was going to head straight to Brooke’s room and rip her a new one but decided against it. Realizing Lily was more important.

I walked to Lily’s cottage. She opened the door as soon as I knocked.

“Myles I didn’t think everyone was getting together till six?”

I got distracted for a minute seeing her in a white v-neck tshirt. Her cleavage was on display and I couldn’t slightly see her white lacey bra through it.

My d**k twitched . I hoped she didn’t notice my eyes darken.

I closed my eyes for a second, trying to gather my thoughts before I spoke again.

“The rest of them will be here later. Lily we need to talk.”

Lily’s POV

I knew instantly when he mentioned that we needed to talk that he seen the photos on fk.

I was really hoping he missed that some how. But I’m sure every pack member and then some have seen the photos.

“Okay” was the only thing I could think of to say.

Myles POV

“First off Lily no one thinks your the pack whore.”

“I’m pretty sure Brooklyn and whatever friend she has this week only said it out of jealousy.”

“All the ranked members adore you.”

“Myles I’m sorry about the pictures. I wasn’t trying to give anyone the wrong ideas about us.”

I took a deep breath and worked up the courage to tell her.

“Lily what if I want them to have the wrong idea about us?”

“What if I want them to think of us as something more?”

She stood there quiet l. Looking like she was trying to process what I just said.

“Lily I want to be something more to you then just a friend or someone that helps you get over Ben.”

“But what about Ben when he comes back Myles?

Anger shot through me and Harvey. I let out a small growl unintentionally.

“You would take Ben back?”

“No that’s not what I’m saying Myles. What I mean is what about your friendship and your future as a gamma? I don’t want to cause trouble for you.”

“Lil I’m pretty sure he’s seen the pictures. I think he has an idea.”

Her eyebrows scrunched together. Clearly upset. She was quiet for awhile before she finally spoke.

“Your right. Truthfully if he had an issue with it he would of said something to at least you. Or least refused you to see me. His opinion really doesn’t matter anymore, I’m allowed to have my own feelings for whoever I want.”

“Is that your way if saying you like me Lil?”

” Yeah I guess I do. I tried to cover it up with friendship but I’ve always felt safe with you. In my heart I knew it was something more. The night we danced together was the first time I let my feelings push forward and not try to push them back down. I even thought about kissing you after the adele song.”

I had the biggest smile on my face. The only thing I could think to say was “about damn time.”

She heard a car door and went to walk away to see who it was. Before she could get to far from me I grabbed her by the arm like I did on the dance floor and pulled her close to me.

I brushed my fingertips up her check and laced them in the back of her hair. I pulled her up towards me and I went down and I kissed her with so much passion. I wanted to make her knees weak. I bit her bottom l*p and she gasped, opening her mouth slightly. I took the opportunity to stick my tongue slightly in her mouth and she took it with an open invitation. I felt light sparks and I only hoped that meant we were fated mates.

I heard a few throats clear. When I looked up Brody, Conner and Amber were all staring at us.

Amber had the biggest grin on her face I’ve ever seen. But who was I kidding so did I.

Before Lily could walk away I whispered in her ear so no one could hear. “I can smell your arousal, I smelt it on the dance floor and I can smell you now.”

I lightly bit her ear and she gasped.

Lily POV

For once I wasn’t embarrassed for being so close to Myles.

However I was embarrassed he smelt my arousal and called me out for it.

I swear it made me more wet, especially when he bit my ear.

I shook the feeling and tried to focus on my guests.

It took me nearly two years to try to move on from Ben. I felt light sparks with Myles when he kissed me. I wasn’t sure if he felt them. But I was hoping it meant he was my fated mate. I never felt that with Ben. I was hoping I wasn’t setting myself up to fall for someone else and have my heart ripped out again.

But I knew love was about taking chances and I was ready to take that chance again with Myles.

Most people don’t even find there fated mates, but everyone hoped they were one of the lucky ones.

We all settled on my couch. Brody and Conner havent seen the new fast and furious movie yet and Myles didn’t get to see the end. So after some begging to me and Amber we let them have there way.

Myles placed his arm around me and I threw a blanket over us and snuggled to his embrace. I could feel his warm breath by my ear and it gave me goosebumps all through my body. It felt right so right.

Everyone ended up staying the night. I never left Myles arms and honeslty I haven’t slept that hard in awhile.

I woke up startled and forgetting where I was for a moment.

Without opening his eyes, Myles kissed my forehead.

“Morning princess. How did you sleep?”

I went to answer but jumped when I saw Brooke take off running. Seriously what is here deal.

Myles looked in the direction I was looking at and shook his head. “She really is crazy. I’m going to have to talk to Landyn about this.”

Everyone took off and left pretty early. Myles stayed behind for a bit. When he went to hug me good bye I could tell something was up.

“Myles what’s wrong?”

“Nothing is wrong, I just don’t want you to read to much into the k**s. I mean it was just a k**s.”

I felt my chest tighting.

“I mean unless you want the k**s to be more than just a k**s?”

I released the breath I didn’t know I was holding.

“Honeslty Myles I don’t want to rush anything but I would love to give this a shot and see where it leads. I mean if that’s okay with you?”

” I would love that.”

He bent down and leaned close to my ear and whispered.

” Just warning you Lily Marie Martin your going to end up falling in love with me if it’s the last thing I do.”

I blushed. But my gut was telling me he was probably right.

Starlight chirped in “I like him. He knows what he wants”

That was all she said before she went back to her normal mute self. She was always soft spoken and quiet.
