First Love Of The Alpha
Chapter 24

Lily’s POV

After I got released from the hospital, we headed straight to Myles room. We kept cooped up for a few days, just really not wanting to deal with life.

I could tell something was off with him. He was quiet since he returned to the hospital with food, and he still hasn’t really said too much.

We were laying in bed watching another movie. I was running my hand up in down his abs.

“Myles, do you want to talk about what’s bugging you? I can tell something is up.”

He shrugged his shoulders.

“Yeah, i guess there is something bugging me, I just don’t want to upset you in any way.”

“I trust you more than anyone. Just tell me I can handle it.”

I couldn’t help but think this was all too much for him.

“When I went to grab us food while you were in the hospital, I talked to then luna like you asked me to.”

Myles was quiet for a moment.

“Well, I let her know that you were okay like you asked.”

“Okay and?”

“She basically told me that you and Ben belonged together. It was really uncomfortable.”

“I’m not sure why, but she got pissed when I said I would fight for you.”

“She knows what Ben did to me, I’m surprised she got so upset. Maybe she was just hoping her best friends daughter and son would end up together. “

“Or maybe she wanted her son to be with the future queen for the title and for the power it would bring him.”

I scrunched my eyebrows and shot up.

“Myles, why would you say that? She’s not like that.”

I was fuming, how could he say that about my moms best friend. If my mom trusted her, then so did I.

He sat there quiet. He looked guilty. I could tell he was wishing he kept his mouth shut.

“I need to go for a walk alone, I’ll be back in a bit.”

I didn’t give him the opportunity to say anything, and I stormed off.

I walked outside of the pack house for thirty minutes or so. I realized I trusted Myles more than I trusted Luna, and I least needed to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I’m just missing my mom and just worried if she’s really okay.

I walked into the pack house and up to Lunas floor towards her office. I wanted to ask her what happened and set things straight about Ben..

I went to knock but realized the door was cracked and she was talking to Brooke. I went to turn away when I heard my name. I stepped to the side so I could listen.

“Brooke, you have to quit being so reckless, Lily can not find out about you and Ben.”

“Why does it matter if she finds out she’s just an omega like i said before.”

“Not many people know this, but she’s not just an omega she special Brooke, and she needs to end up with Ben.”

“I don’t even know to respond to that luna. You do know she’s with Myles, right?”

“I do, but I need help making sure she ends back with Ben. It whats best for Ben and the pack, and if he knew who she really is, he wouldn’t have risked losing her and sleeping with you when they were together.”

“Besides, I need you to try to hook up with Myles. Thats they key to getting Lily and Ben back together. “

I gasped. Louder than what I wanted and took off down the hall before they could catch who was outside the door.

My breathing hitched. How did I not know about Ben and Brooke. This makes things so much worse. I trusted him way more than he even deserved. I was played.

I felt like I was the binge of having an anxiety attack. This is all too much.

Myles was right about Luna. I couldn’t help but worry about my mom. She trusted Luna. How did I know she was actually safe. The only thing Luna Meghan cared about was me and Ben being together and the power I could give Ben. Least that’s what it seems.

I headed back to Myles room. I wanted to apologize, but then it dawned on me. Myles brought up cheating at the lake house. Did he know? Was he trying to tell me?

Myles POV

Lily took off after I mentioned my thoughts on the Lunas’ intentions, and I could be wrong, but my gut was telling me I wasn’t.

She said she needed to go for a walk alone, and I spent the whole time pacing the room, hoping I didn’t screw up our relationship. I didn’t want her to pull away from me again.

I finally heard the door knob. When she opened the door, she looked distraught. s**t I must have really screwed up.

I didn’t know what to say, so I just waited for her to speak. She told me to sit, and she started to pace back and forth.

“First you were right about the luna, I went up to her office to talk to her, and her door was cracked, and she was talking to Brooke about me.”

s**t, s**t, s**t. This isn’t going to be good.

“She told Brooke I was special, and basically told Brooke to sleep with you, so I would go back to Ben.”

I instantly got pissed. “She said what?”

“Oh, that’s not even the best part. Secondly, she brought up Brooke sleeping with Ben. But you already knew that, didn’t you?”

f**k. I rubbed my hands down my face.

“Lily.”

“You knew this whole time?”

“No, I didn’t know the whole time I found out after Ben had already been gone. I didn’t know how to tell you.”

“But you should’ve told me I shouldn’t have to find out by accident. It could have changed everything. “

“Me and Amber thought that to, but then we decided against it. We didn’t want you to feel like your first love was a sham.”

“But it was Myles, that clearly wasn’t a first love. If he loved me, he wouldn’t have cheated on me and dumped me like that.”

“I feel like i could have gotten over him easier if I knew it was all fake.”

“Wait, you said you and Amber, she knew too?”

“Brooke blurted it out in front of us, Amber ended up breaking her nose and dragging her by her hair to girls’ bathroom.”

Lily sat down at the edge of the bed. “She didn’t? is that why Brooke was missing that patch of hair for like ever?”

“Yeah, yet she still tries to piss Amber off.”

Lily shook her head. “She’s crazy, but man, do I love that girl.”

We were quiet for a few minutes.

“Myles, I deserved to know, I’m supposed to trust you. you’re my boyfriend, and you want to be my mate. I should have heard it from you or Amber.”

“I’m sorry, I truly am, baby. I just didn’t want to cause you any more pain.”

“Did you ever think I needed that pain to put all of this behind me, that maybe me and you could have moved forward sooner.”

“I was so blind to it for so long, and maybe I would have seen it sooner.”

“Lily, it doesn’t matter we’re together now. Let’s just move forward how we want.”

She nodded. “I just need some space, I think I’m going to head to my cottage for the night.”

“Lily, it’s late, and that’s a long walk in the dark. Your cottages are one of the furthest ones from the pack.”

“I’ll be fine, I’ve made that walk a thousand times.”

“That was before we knew what was going on and who was after you.”

“Myles, I’ll be fine. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

She pecked me on my lips and walked out.

Lily’s POV

I just needed some space after I found out that Amber knew too. I felt like maybe everyone knew and was just hiding it from me.

In a way, I just felt really betrayed, I knew their intentions were good, and they were just trying to protect me, but I couldn’t help but feel angry.

All of this could have been behind me long ago, and now luna is basically trying to wreck my relationship with Myles by using Brooke.

I couldn’t believe she could be so unbelievably cruel to use the exact same person Ben was cheating on me with.

No wonder Brooke was such a b***h to me, she’s been sleeping with my boyfriend and he never once dumped me for her. He was arrogant enough to think he could have both of us.

The walk back went quicker than expected, when I got to the my cottage the door was kicked down and all the lights were on.

I minlinked Myles letting him know that someone broke into my cottage. He told me to wait for him to get there but by the looks of how trashed everything was they were long gone.

I stepped in and every drawer, cabinet , or piece of furniture was either opened or flipped over.

I wondered what the hell they were looking for it’s not like we had any real valuables and my mother never put up any pictures up. Which I see now was for my protection.

I felt the hairs on my neck stand up and the smell of rotten eggs.

I turned around and a naked man stood in front me alone.

“Well, well princess it took us a very long time to find you.”

“Princess? and who is us?”

“Well i guess just me the rest couldn’t get past the boarders.”

“And how did you get past them?”

“A witch gave us scent blockers, but she didn’t mention how long they would last, for whatever reason mine lasted longer.”

“What do you want with me?”

“You see the rogue king wants you for his son, but I kind of want you for myself and the power you could bring me, and I could finally take his smug a*s out.”

“How do you know I’m girl your looking for?”

“Those eyes, your father has the same ones.”

“That doesn’t mean I have any sort of power though I’m not nineteen and you have to have a white wolf. Who says i do?”

“Well im guessing by your mother’s reaction you are exactly who I think you are.”

“When did you see my mother?”

“She tried to save your father, but escaped on her own before we could catch her and before she could get your dad. She’s hurt though. We were sent to retreat her, but I happen to find you instead when I tracked her scent.”

“So your a tracker, how did you end up with the rogues. I figured you would be to important for a pack to let go of.”

“My mate was sleeping with my alpha and i left on my own terms.”

“You thought becoming a rogue was better than just joining another pack.”

“I’m from here, just a pack over actually and I was denied from joing this one because of some treaty your Alpha had with alpha Richard.”

“I’m sorry I’m not going to go with you willingly.”

“Doesn’t matter I just have to mark you.”

“You know when I die your power dies right?”

He paused for a moment, clearly not knowing that part of it. I’m not even sure if it’s true I just made it up hoping to buy time.

But I realized I really need to do more research on myself and royals if I make through tonight.

“Well I guess I’ll have to take you after all.”

He shifted and I grabbed a fire stick poker. I really didn’t want to shift this close to the pack incase other pack members heard the commotion.

He moved back and forth trying to figure out his move, I knew he didn’t want to kill me but least wanted to hurt me enough so he could take me easily.

I heard Myles yell my name just enough for it to distract me. The rogue lunged at me and I held the poker infront of me sticking straight in the rogues heart, he fell on top of me.

Myles rolled the rogue from on top body, I was soaked in his b***d. Myles brought me to me feet checking me over for wounds.

“Im okay, the b***d isn’t mine. He never got the chance to do anything to me and he didn’t want to kill me. He did want me for himself though.

Myles growled and took his shirt off and wiped the splattered b***d off my face. Pulling me in tight embrace and kissed the side of my forehead.

Sylvia and Kevin came running in.

He looked at me with guilt. “I’m sorry Lily. I had to tell someone.”

“Its okay we should probably tell them everything, especially since Luna Meghan can’t be trusted.”

After gamma Kevin and Myles disposed of the rogue body and me and Sylvia tried to pick up my cottage as best we could we sat down and I explained everything to them.

Starting with my white wolf, my moms letter and what Luna Meghan had told us. We then proceeded to tell them what Luna told Myles and what I over heard her telling Brooke.

They both seemed so shocked. But finally gamma Kevin spoke up. “I’m not going to lie, I kind of wondered with the purple eyes if maybe you related to the royals some how. But I kind of thought the worst of your mom maybe she had an affair with one and that’s why she showed up here with you and no mate.”

“I didn’t think to connect the missing prince and his mate to you guys, I guess mostly because there was no mention of them having a baby.”

“it’s okay I really had no idea, but what do we do now. The rogue told me my mom is out there hurt.”

Sylvia grabbed my hand. “Sweetie, you have no idea if what the rogue was saying is true, he could of just said that to distract you. You need to stay here and stay safe for your mom.”

Kevin nodded. “The rogue is disposed and no one knows he was even here and the alpha has no idea any of the rogues made it past the boarders so we’re in the clear there. But give me a few weeks. I have a few friends that can maybe track her down.”

I nodded. “I can do that.”

“I know it’s hard but the best thing you can do for your mom is to stay safe and to not leave the pack.”

“Luna asked Brooke to try to sleep with Myles so I would go back to Ben, they have no idea I heard the conversation. “

Sylvia looked even more pissed. “Myles just act like you would of if you had no idea and turn her down quickly, but watch yourself Luna Meghan has connections to witches, I’m not sure how far she is willing to take this to make sure that power goes to Ben.”

Sylvia gave me a k**s on my forehead and even the gamma gave me a hug “thank you for trusting us Lily, least this way we can help keep you safe.” They headed back to the pack house.

“Baby now will you please come back to our room, it’s not safe here”

I nodded. I knew he was right. I’m not sure if I ever will feel safe here again.

“Your still covered in b***d, do you want to shower here or back in our room.”

“I don’t even think I have much clothing here, besides some swimsuits and some pajamas, ill just shower in your room.”

I took off the bloody shirt and tossed it in the trash. i found a sweatshirt and pulled it over my head so I least looked half presentable. It was late and I wasnt expecting anyone to be up.

We got to Myles room unnoticed and he instantly started the shower and helped me undress. At this point I was in a daze.

Myles POV

I’ve never been more scared when Lily minlinked me saying someone broke into her cottage. I was with my parents when she told me and i felt like I needed there help incase it was really bad.

I didn’t give them much details, juat that Lily was in danger and no one could know.

When we explained everything that’s happened and everything thing we knew. They were shocked, but so understanding and even more protective of Lily if that was even possible.

My dad even helped me get rid of a rogue. It would of cost him everything if the truth got out to the alpha.

I knew they would help me keep her safe which brought me alot more comfort knowing more eyes would be on her.

I could tell Lily was in a daze when we got back to our room, I helped her undress and I undressed myself and stepped in the shower with her.

I washed her hair and body, making sure I got all the b***d off. She still hadn’t said a word.

I took a towel drying her off and carried her to our bedroom and sat her on the bed. I grabbed one of my tshirts and slipped it over her head, not bothering with underwear she said she didn’t like them anyway.

I picked her back up laying her on the pillow and covered her up. I grabbed a pair of boxers slipping them on and climbed in behind her pulling her close, she turned and snuggled herself into my neck inhaling my scent. I loved that she found comfort in that. We fell asleep a few moments later.
