Chapter 23

Lily’s POV

I woke up pretty early, shaking Myles awake. I wanted answers, and I knew I needed to find Luna Meghan.

I mindlinked her asking if she was available this morning. She answered instantly.

“I cleared my schedule. I had a feeling I would be hearing from you this morning. “

“Is it okay if Myles tags along, he’s knows everything that I know, and my mom wrote him in the letter to.”

“Oh, umm sure, that’s fine, just come when you’re ready. I’ll be in my office.”

I could tell she seemed unsure. I just didn’t care I needed him.

Myles g*****d next to me.”Do we have to get up so early?”

“Yes, I have already minlinked Luna, and she said we can’t meet her in her office whenever.”

“So hurry up.”

I got up and got dressed in some jeans and a T-shirt. When I came out of the closet, Myles was laying on his stomach, his bare a*s on display, and his eyes closed again.

I couldn’t help but stare, his arms over his head showing off his very distinctive back muscles and forearms. I felt my underwear start to get wet.

“Lily, I’m not asleep. I can smell your arousal.”

I blushed.

“For someone who wants me to hurry and get up, she is making it very difficult for me to even want to leave this room.”

“Hey, you had your chance last night.”

I tossed some sweats and t-shirt at him.

“What is with you and no underwear.”

I scrunched my nose and stuck my tongue at him.

He got out of bed, and he was fully erect. He winked at me.

I couldn’t help but bite my l*p.

“Lily, you’re killing me here.”

He went a grabbed a pair of boxers out of his dresser and slipped them on.

“Do we want coffee before we head over.”

I gave him the death stare.

“Fine, fine, I can wait.”

Myles POV

Lily took my hand, and we headed to Alpha floor where Luna Meghans office is.

I could tell she was nervous her palms were sweaty, and she was holding onto me tighter than usual.

Lily knocked softly, and Luna answered the door immediately with a huge smile.

Her eyes narrowed on mine, and Lily’s hands locked together. Her smile went to a frown. I swear a look of concern went across her face before she invited us in.

“Luna, thank you so much for meeting us so fast, I’m not sure how to even start this, so can you just tell me what you know or what you can tell me.”

“I can tell you what your mom gave me permission to share but also what I think you need to know.”

I felt Lily squeeze my hand. “Thank you, I just feel so confused.”

“But before I start, I want to make it very clear what I share doesn’t leave this room. It can put all of us in danger.

We both nodded

I could tell Luna was unsure about me being in the room, or she just seemed uncomfortable with me and Lily being together.

Luna Meghans POV

It’s weird seeing Lily and Myles together. Especially holding hands and Lily turning to him for comfort.

I knew Raya said they were getting serious, I guess I just hoped there wasn’t any truth to that for the sake of Ben. But it looks like she is right.

I made sure they both agreed that nothing left my office, and I had a witch friend sound proof of my office long before Raya and Lily came to the pack. As long as the door was closed, no one could hear into this room.

“For starters, me and your mom go way back. In fact, we’re both from the neon moon pack. I was the alphas daughter, and your mom was a warriors daughter, but still an omega. We became best friends then and still are. We just could never tell anyone. My father was very strict about me hanging with anyone but a rank member.”

“How did I not know this?”

“Just let me get this all out, dear. I promise it will make more sense.”

Lily nodded

“Our pack is just on the outside of the royal palace, and your mom ended up being fated mates with a man named Charles Winters.”

I could see the confusion on Lily’s face, but it seemed Myles already figured it out.

“Charles Winters is the kings son and your father.”

Lily’s face pailed. But I kept going.

“Shortly after marking each other, your mom found out she was pregnant with you and was later kidnapped by the rogue kings soldiers. The news wasn’t even out yet that she was expecting.”

“We don’t know for sure how they did it, your mom, and I guess there was a witch involved because they found out she was pregnant and with a girl.”

“Its known that any female born in the royal bloodline with a white wolf and violet eyes is gained some sort of magical power on her nineteenth birthday and it brings another magical power to there mate after marking, making them a fearce couple, a couple that cant be defeated”

“A girl hasn’t been born by royal bloodline in over hundred and fifty years. So you are very rare.”

“After they rescued your mom. Rogue attacks had gotten worse between the palace and the nearby packs. Your father feared everyone’s safety and future and decided you guys would go into hiding into the human world, but when your dad never showed up, your mom called me instead. She thought your dad had died. He would never leave you guys willingly. He was going to give up his title to keep you guys safe.”

“She knew I would keep her secret and that you would be safer around other wolves and with our pack being hours away from the palace no one would come looking for you here, we changed your guys last name to Martin just incase anyone question your last names.”

Lily just looked shocked and angry, and for brief seconds, her eyes glowed.

“Why does my mom think my dad is alive.”

“My brother Remi is not exactly a rogue but more of a lone wolf he still has a pack but kind of just does his own thing. We’ve been paying him to spy on the Rogue king and his warriors. He’s recently seen your father in chains.”

“When he confirmed your dad was alive, your mom, well, she couldn’t sit back anymore. She wanted to see for herself so she went with my brother.”

“I tried to convince her not to, but it’s her mate, and you aren’t a little kid anymore. It was just luck that my brother happened to see them moving your dad to another building.”

She nodded. “How did the rogues know to look for me here?”

“I’m not exactly sure, but they know you’re alive. I just don’t think they’ve narrowed down which pack yet, but they know the rogues went missing in this area, including the werewolves king youngest son.”

“Wouldn’t the king just assume they got killed by crossing a packs boarder, rogues get killed like that all the time.”

“Well, apparently, the kings son really didn’t do much fighting, just stayed in the shadows. So for him to get killed means he purposely made his presence known.”

“Well, maybe he thought you and Myles would be an easy kill, and it would go unnoticed.”

Lily shrugged her shoulders but then nodded, agreeing.

“So if they come looking and see your wolf or purple eyes, they won’t hesitate but to take you, Lily. The rogue king wants you to mate with his eldest son for the power and to take over the palace.”

I heard Myles growl.

“I have a feeling around your birthday. we will have confirmation about your dad being alive. The news will get around packs, and they expect you to go looking for him or for someone to turn you over.”

“What do the king and queen know, well I guess my grandparents?”

“They think you’ve all been in hiding all this time, I dont think they know your dad was captured. “

“Your dad made your mom promise not to ever tell them if anything happened to him, your grandpa he would have put his life on the line, and your dad didn’t want that.”

“The palace needs him, least till you come of age and it was safe for you to return home, your dad just knew you were the future and he would do anything to protect that.”

“But this is my home. How do I not remember the palace. I was six, surely I would remember something before I came here.”

“No Lily your the future queen.”

I paused for a moment, trying to decide if I wanted to tell her this part.

“We had a friend of mine, a witch friend, erase any memories you would have had before you came here. Luckily, you were so young it was easy to do.”

Lily got up from her chair, and when she stood up, her eyes rolled back, and she fainted, Myles caught her in his arms.

Lily’s POV

I woke up in the pack hospital with Myles head laying on the side of the bed.

I rubbed my fingers through his hair, and he shot up.

“Oh, thank goodness baby, are you okay?”

“Yeah, I think I just got really overwhelmed. It was just a lot to take in.”

“How long was I out.”

” Nine hours, it’s dinner time already.”

“Oh wow. I guess it was just a huge shock for me.”

“Yeah, it was. I kinda figured it all out when she mentioned who your dad was, I put all the pieces together.”

“I should have pushed my mom more, I just thought it was too painful for her to talk about my dad. But really, she was just trying to protect me while she could.”

“I just can’t help but wonder what my grandparents will do when they find out what happened to my dad, I hope they don’t hate my mom.”

“Let’s not worry about that right now, we can figure that all out when your mom returns, least we know she’s with Lunas brother and he’s an alpha, your mom should be in good hands.”

“Okay, I can do that.”

“Then we can figure out how to save your dad without putting you at risk.Maybe you will get a power at nineteen, and we can use that to our advantage. “

“Sounds good, I think, I’m just not sure what to think of any of this.”

“I get that baby. The doctor wants to keep you overnight, but we can go home in the morning.”

“Do you want me to go grab you some comfort food from the dining room there serving salad, lasagna, and garlic bread. I know how much you love those.”

“Yes, please. I would love that so much, I’m starving.”

“I am too, we haven’t eaten today with everything going on.”

“Will you go find Luna Meghan and let her know I’m okay? She will probably be in the dining hall with everyone if it’s dinner time.”

“Sure thing, baby, I’ll head that way and be right back.”

He kissed my forehead and headed out.

I still had a smile on my face from when Myles mentioned “we could go home.” If we marked each other, I guess that would be home.

I just can’t believe im a princess, not an omega but a future queen. I just don’t know if it’s even what I want. I grew up thinking I was an omega, and I’ve been really okay with that.

I couldn’t picture leaving this pack or leaving Myles.

But I know I want to meet my grandparents and know that part of my life. I just need my mom to return home and find my dad before I go there. I know they will have questions, and I don’t have the answers myself. I’m still so confused.

Myles POV

I headed to the packs dining hall and got mine and Lily’s food to go. I ordered a double batch for myself since I haven’t eaten since yesterday, and the cook Esme made the best lasagna I’ve ever had.

On the way out, i ran into the Luna headed towards the stairs to the alpha floor.

“Wait, Luna,”

I saw her shoulders and back tense up.

” I just wanted to tell you that Lily is okay and she will be released tomorrow morning.”

She nodded. It’s not really showing any emotion. It seemed like she didn’t even want to talk to me.

“That’s good, Myles. I’m glad to hear.”

She went to walk away up the stairs but turned around at the last second.

“Myles, I may be overstepping, but I’m just going to say it. Lily should be with Ben. They were together for years, and some information came to my attention that it’s not exactly Ben’s fault.”

” You mean to tell me cheating on Lily with the betas daughter was not Ben’s fault?”

She raised an eyebrow. “Myles, watch your tone. I’m still your Luna, and how do you know about that?”

“So you do know and still defending him, and a lot of people know. Brooke hasn’t exactly kept it a secret.”

“Does Lily know?”

“I’m honestly not sure.”

“It’s best for the pack that Ben and Lily end up together. Am I clear?”

“What if Lily doesn’t want to be with Ben?”

“She doesn’t know what she wants, and I have a feeling there fated mates. She will choose him in the end.”

“You don’t know that.”

“Myles, she’s the future queen she will choose an alpha over a gamma in the end.”

“So it’s about power and what Lily can give Ben?”

“No, she belonged to Ben first, and if Ben knew who she was, he would have never let her go.”

“Luna, with all do respect, I’m not dumping Lily, and I will fight like hell to keep her.”

“We will see.”

She turned around and walked away. I’ve never seen Luna Meghan act this way. She has always been so nice and caring.

I really thought she had Lily’s best interest at heart. But that’s only if she ends up with Ben.

Luna Meghans POV

I saw Myles walk into the dining hall. I decided to leave so he wouldn’t have the opportunity to try to talk to me about Lily.

He ended up catching before i headed up the stairs.

I felt my whole body tense up. I’m really starting to dislike this kid.

I already knew Lily was going to be okay. I had the pack doctor mindlink me when she woke.

I couldn’t help myself. i had to tell Myles that Lily and Ben would end up together, and I would make sure of that.

I wasn’t expecting him to tell me he would fight for her. What a fool. What my son and Lily had would never compare to what they have.

If it wasn’t for my i***t mate, I wouldn’t even have to be having this conversation with Myles.

When he mentioned my son and Brooke, anger rushed through me.

I thought that was a secret. I hadn’t realized the gossip was making its way around the pack.

If Lily did know. Any chance of my son and her together would be out the window, Raya would never support her being with a cheater on top of what Ben has already done.

I stormed off to find Brooke. She assured me that no one knew. Then how the hell did the gamma find out.

Brooke’s POV

Luna Meghan barged into my room without knocking or mindlinking me that she was looking for me.

I could tell she was clearly angry. She was fuming with rage.

“Brooke, you assured me the little fling you had with my son wouldn’t get out, are you aware that Myles knows about your little slutty hook up.”

I felt my face pale. I had to lie. I didn’t want her to know I blurted it out to Amber and Myles out of anger.

“I don’t know how he found out, me and Ben were discreet about it so Lily wound never find out”

“Well you acting like a God damn w***e and trying to get with the future alpha might of cost us everything.”

How the hell would that cost us everything? I’m beta daughter, not some weak omega like Lily.

“Did you tell any of your friends?”

“I mean, well yeah my best friends.”

I was so confused why this was such a big deal, she was just an omega.

“You stupid bitch..”

My dad came in before Luna could go any further.

“Why would you come in here and talk to my daughter like this, what the reason for it.”

“I know your aware of your daughter sleeping with my son, apparently she couldn’t keep her damn mouth shut or keep her pants on and the drama is spreading around the pack”

“Luna I mean no disrespect but your attacking my daughter, and as much as I don’t agree with her choices, your son wasn’t marked with anyone. Besides I think our family’s have enough secrets already, don’t you?”

What the hell did my dad mean by that?

Lunas face flushed. “How dare you bring that up, especially in front of one our kids.”

She and my Dad stormed off together.

Part of me wondered if I should follow so I could figure out what they were talking about.
