Chapter 22

Amber’s POV

Myles minlinked me, letting me know Lily would be staying with him at the pack house a few days and not asking questions.

I didnt think it was a good idea, I mean for one Brooke was here and I knew she would take this opportunity to torment Lily, but I also was worried Brooke would fill her in about her and Bens relationship and that secret would be out with about nearly everyone knowing.

But what worried me the most was that she would find out Ben was bringing his future Luna back to the pack after school was over.

I accidently heard Alpha and luna fighting about Ben taking a chosen mate and making her luna when they got back, and that he’s been talking with her father alpha Richard about combining the packs

Her name is Louise. When Conner mentioned that his fated mate was Louise and that she was from the eclipse pack, I instantly panicked, I mean, what were the chances that all of this would be connected.

All these secrets were consuming me, and I knew they would all come spiraling out when Ben returned. But it was Ben’s mess, and I didn’t want to hurt Lily anymore than what she had been.

I couldn’t help but feel Myles was keeping something from me, like there was more to why Lily was staying at the packhouse

She hates the pack house, she’s done everything she could to avoid it.

Maybe I’ll talk to Myles about this but I’m afraid of what he will do. He’s so protective of Conner and Lily.

Myles POV

We walked in the packhouse, but luckily for us, it seemed most of everyone was already in bed.

We got to the second floor and ran into my dad. I quickly mindlinked him not to make a big deal out of it, and I would explain it when I could.

He nodded.

Lily hadn’t even noticed him, I opened my door and placed her luggage in my closet.

She looked around, taking it all in.

I realized I’ve never brought her to my room before.

“This is nice, Myles. I wouldn’t have expected you to be so organized, but I love the navy and greys.”

I tried to stay calm, but if we marked each other, this would eventually be her room, too, and I’m glad she liked it. My parents switched rooms with me a few months back, getting me ready to take the gamma position when Ben returned.

“Thanks, my mom recently helped me redecorate.”

“Well, I love it, especially the fireplace and chairs.”

“Well do you want to go bed or I could run you a bath, i know you just found out alot tonight and it left alot of confusion, but you should really try to relax and get some rest before talking to Luna tomorrow.”

She snorted. “I don’t see how that’s possible to relax, but a bath sounds nice. I never did use the bath at the beach house.”

I walked her to the bathroom, and a huge smile went across her face.

“You have a similar one to the one at the beach house?”

“Yeah, I like baths, but don’t you dare tell anyone.”

She giggled. “I swear to the moon goddess.”

I started the bath for her, putting in lavender bath salts and bubbles.

I kissed her forehead and went to walk out, and she grabbed my arm. Join me, I mean, you do love baths, and besides, this bathtub could fit like six people, not that I want to find out, though.

I couldn’t help the huge smile that went across my face.

“Okay, want me to grab some pajamas for you, or you can use one of my robes for afterward?”

“Robe would be good, I don’t think I remembered to pack mine again. “

I went to grab a robe, and when I came back, she was already in the tub.

I stripped down, and she scooted forward so I could climb in behind her.

I lay my legs on each side of her, and she layed her back on my chest.

“Thank you for being here for me. You’ve been here for everything, and I’m so grateful for you and for your patience and understanding with me.”

“I’m sure I haven’t been the easiest girlfriend you’ve ever had.”

“I’ve never actually had a girlfriend, I mean, I’ve dated around, but nothing is ever serious. I’ve never wanted that with anyone till you.”

“I’ll always be here for you, not matter what I’ll always protect you.”

She turned around and straddled me.

“I know you will, I love you so much.”

“I love you too more than you realize.”

“I think I’m starting to see that.”

She pulled me in for a k**s, tangling her hands in my hair.

Her k**s was hungry and aggressive. I could smell her arousal.

I pulled away.

She looked at me, stunned and hurt, washed across her face. I could tell she felt rejected. She went to get out, and I grabbed her hand.

“No, Lily, wait, let me explain.”

She sat back down, and i pulled her back to lay on my chest, and I grabbed a sponge and started to wash her body.”

“I could smell your arousal, and trust me, baby, it’s not that I don’t want you because I do I really do, but I do want it to be the right time.”

“But don’t I have a say when it’s the right time?”

“Yes you do, but do you really think it’s the right time when you just found out your dad could possibly be alive and that your mom went looking for him and on top of that the rogue king is after you.”

I brought my mouth to her ear and started to whisper.

“Now don’t get me wrong Lily it is killing me telling you no to anything, but im even afraid of having my mouth near your naked core again, I’m afraid it will cause me to come unglued, I barely kept myself together then and I’m not sure if I could do it again.”

Her breathing hitched.

“Trust me Lily, I want every part of you, I want to taste every part of you and I want to bury myself deep into you to the point where you call out my name, but I dont want it to be when you have the world on your shoulders, let’s get this all figured out and when it’s time we both will know… I want to be the only thing you think about.”

Her nails had digged into my thighs.

“You’re a cruel, cruel man. You’re just talking about it in my ear like that had my toes curl, but I understand Myles, you’re probably right.”

“Probably right?”

She whined. “Okay, okay, you are right.”

Now let’s get out of here and head to bed.

I stepped out and reached for her hands.

I dried her off with a towel and wrapped her in one of my robes.

We went to the closet to get into pajamas, and instead of going for her luggage, she grabbed one of my t-shirts , slipped it on, and walked back to the bedroom.

It went to her mid thigh, and damn that women didn’t grab any underwear, I swear she’s trying to kill me.

I felt my wolf fighting with me again, and I tried to even out my breathing.

“Lily, no underwear again, really?”

“Oh quit whining you, big baby.”

My wolf growled at her.

She raised an eyebrow like she was daring him to do something about it.

she walked toward me in a very slow, seductive way.

She went on her tip toes and placed her hands on my chest, and whispered very softly.

“I’ve learned to not like underwear when I’m sleeping, you can either get used it if you want me in your bed or I can find another bedroom to sleep in, me and Conner have become close friends I’m sure he would let me sleep on his couch.”

Temptress. My wolf took over.

Lily’s POV

Myles eyes turned black, and before i knew it, he scooped me up and threw me on the bed.

He placed his body down between my legs only in a towel.

“You’ve been teasing and tempting Myles way too often, and I’m not as patient as him.”

I couldn’t help but get aroused. His voice was deep and husky.

“Mmm, I can smell that you want me, I bet you’re wet for me too.”

He put his head into my neck, breathing in my sent.

I bit my l*p. “Harvey, you need to bring Myles back. As much as I want this, I want everything with him first, please.”

He nuzzled into the crook of my neck.

I spoke softly. “Please, Harvey.”

I saw his eyed shift back and forth and then finally settled on Myles brown eyes.

“I’m sorry about him, you have to be careful teasing us like that, he wants you very badly.”

“No, I’m sorry I shouldn’t have pushed you.”

“He’s been pushing me to mark you.”

“Really?..do you think that could mean were mates with your wolf pushing you like that.”

“I’ve been hoping, but either way he wants you, he doesn’t care if we’re fated mates or not.”

“We haven’t really talked about marking each other yet, I mean, it’s been brought up by your parents and now your wolf.”

“Yeah, I know, I’m in no rush.”

“I mean, is that something you want to do Myles, are you that hundred percent sure I’m the one?”

“Honestly I would mark you whenever you tell me to, whenever you tell me that I’m it, that I’m your guy, that I’m the one you can’t live with out, I would never even hesitate to claim you.”

I realized he was still between my legs in a towel, just inches from my face.

I reddened a bit.

“You’re definitely my guy, I’m just not sure if I want to be marked right now.”

He pushed a hair out of my face. “I know, but when you are ready, just know I will be too.”

He kissed me softly and rolled to the side of the bed.

He tossed the towel on the ground and covered up with the sheet and blanket.

“Oh, it’s not okay for me to sleep with no underwear on, but it’s okay for you to sleep completely nude? I see how you are.”

“Hey, you started this, you little temptress.”

I smacked his arm.

“You can dish it out but can’t take it, now I see how you are.”

I laughed. “Okay, fine, not that you’re giving me much choice.”

I got under the covers and layed my head on his chest.

“I love you so much, Myles.”

“I love you more, Lil.”

Sleep consumed me not much later. I was mentally and physically exhausted.
