First Love Of The Alpha
Chapter 21

Myles POV

Lily and I stayed up most of the night talking and packing for our ride back home.

She explained to me what happened with Conner and a girl named Louise and of course how Amber bitched her out.

But what shocked me was Lily even said she kinda attacked Louise with Amber, she said she just got so mad and couldn’t control it.

I felt bad for him especially for her being an alpha daughter from a neighboring pack, i just hoped it didn’t cause any problems for us down the road, I shouldn’t at least.

But I’m glad Amber was there, she may have a mouth on her but she always knows when to use it. Especially for the people she loves.

I was really starting to dread leaving. I wanted to stay in our bubble a little longer.

I knew reality had to hit sooner than later. I just rather much later right now.

My biggest fear is Lily is going to pull even futher away from me especially when Ben returns.

We haven’t been intimate in anyway besides some k****s and hugs since the first time, but that’s mostly on me trying to take things slow.

I guess I want Ben to return before we take things futher so she can put it all behind her and get the closure she needs.

My mom had a long talk with me when she got back from dress shopping.

Basically telling me as excited as she is for grand pups, that I need to let Lily get the closure she needs

But it made sense, I wouldn’t want to rush her and her end up regretting it, not that I think she would but I know she’s scared.

Car ride home was going way to quickly for my liking. I continued to sing to Brody just to annoy the s**t out of him and to try to cheer up Conner.

My phone starting to ring when Ben’s name lit up on the screen this was the third time today and I knew i needed to answer, I should of done it earlier when I least could of walked away from Lily.

I let it go to voice-mail but he called right back.

“Just get it babe, must be important for someone to call you back to back like this.”

I nodded not really wanting to tell her who it was.

I answered “Hey man, what’s up.”

“Theres a situation that’s going on that I need to address it with you and Landyn together.”

I got confused he really hasn’t talked pack things with me for sometime.

Lily giggled at something Amber said.

I heard Ben clear his throat.

“Is Lily with you?”

“Yeah man, she is, were actually in Conners truck headed back to the pack right now.”

“Okay…it um can wait till later, I think you kinda already know about Conner and Louise.”

“Yeah I do, but how do you know about that already?”

“Oh, umm Yeah that’s not important, we will just talk later.”

“But, Myles..?”

“Yeah.”

Lily looked at me confused, I think she recognized his voice now.

“Is Lily… is Lily happy, are you guys happy together?”

Lily scrunched her eyebrows and parted her lips.

“Yeah Ben, she’s happy, we’re really happy.”

I heard him clear his throat.

“Okay, well I have to go, bye Myles.”

He hung up before I could even respond

Lily took her arm into mine and layed her head on my shoulder. I could feel the tension through the whole truck.

We have excellent hearing and if you were paying attention, you could hear a person’s whole conversation even through a phone and by the looks of how Conner is gripping the steering wheel, he heard about everything.

Brody mindlinked me “How does Ben know about Louise and Conner… who called him?”

“I’m honestly not sure, none of us really talk to him. unless someone heard at the ice cream shop, he did accept her rejection in public.”

“Is Ben going to turn this into a problem?”

“I don’t see how, it’s just from a neighboring pack that we have a signed treaty with, it’s not like we see that pack regularly and she rejected Conner not the other way around.”

“True, okay maybe he just wanted to check in on Conner.”

“Yeah, maybe.”

I dont think he had any intention on checking on Conner, he’s never asked about anyone on the few occasions I would talk to him.

This was the first he even asked about Lily since he’s been gone and my guess the only reason he was now is to let me know that he seen the pictures and that he knows we’re a thing.

I road the rest of the car ride in silence, something just felt off with Ben and him asking about Louise and Conner, the only way it would cause any sort of conflict for our pack is if Conner rejected Louise first but only because she was the alphas daughter.

But why would Ben even waste his time with worrying about that, when nothing would come from it.

I doubt Louise dad would even mention it just out of embarrassment of his alpha daughter not being mated to another alpha.

I saw the pack gates approaching and sighed, Lily was passed out on my shoulder.

I kissed her forehead and whispered in her ear that we were home.

She shot up, I know she was excited to be home and see her mom.

When we pulled up to her cottage all the lights were off, which was odd. I figured her mom would be home waiting for Lily, this is the longest they both have gone with out seeing eachother.

I helped Lily unload her luggage to take into the house, I waved at Conner and told him i would just walk to the pack house in a bit if he would put my bag in my room.

He nodded.

When we got to the cottage the door was locked, which was unusual.

I Could tell by the look her face that she was starting to panic there door was never locked, we didn’t exactly worry about break ins on pack grounds.

Lily’s POV

I nearly dumped out my purse trying to find my house keys. I don’t think I’ve ever had to even use them.

Something just felt off, why would she lock the door especially if she knew I would be home today.

I could tell Myles was trying to stay calm but even he looked concerned.

Once I got the house unlocked, Myles insisted that he go in first.

He flipped the light switch and everything looked in place, exactly how it looked when I left, which was odd.

My mom is a slob, she leaves her shoes piled and never puts them away and never folds up the blankets after using them on the couch, but no shoes were at the door and blankets still were folded in place.

Myles called to me from the kitchen waving an envelope in his hand that had Lily written on it in my mother hands writing.

I tore it open.

Lily,

I took you leaving for vacation as an opportunity to find answers about your dad . I know you probably have a million questions about that and i havent been the most forthcoming with information about him and our past, but i need you trust me Lily, you and your wolf are so special. So special that your in more danger than I’ve led you to believe .

I’ve spent years trying to keep you hidden and safe. Right now I’m not so sure your dad is even dead, but captured and i have to find him. I didn’t want to put you in anymore danger but me and Luna Meghan think there using your dad to lure you out.

The Rogue king has been after you since he found out I was pregnant.

I can’t say much more, and no I didn’t take a phone, you know how I feel about those things and I didn’t want to be tracked.

I need you to stay in the pack from here on out , you’ll be safe. Luna Meghan is expecting you if you have more questions, and we can talk more when I get back, I’m just not sure when that will be.

I’m not alone sweetie so please don’t try to worry so much, and please tell no one besides Luna and Myles, no one can be trusted. Especially the alpha.

I promise to explain it all when I can, I know you must be confused.

P.S. Myles, stay with her and protect her. I’m sure it won’t be long when more rogues come looking for her. One of the rogues you guys killed was the rogue kings youngest son and somehow they know he went missing in the area. I have a feeling they won’t stop till they have answers. Just watch your back and trust no one. I know you will protect Lily with your life and I owe you everything.

What on earth did all of this mean and how did she know about me and Myles killing those rogues.

I handed Myles the letter and he read it.

“Lily, I know it says not to tell anyone but I think you need to talk to Luna Meghan and then maybe we should talk to my dad.”

“You can move into the packhouse with me or I can move in here, but it is not a good idea for you to be alone , especially since we don’t even know what is going on fully”

I nodded. Not sure what to say yet.

“To which one babe?.. what do you perfer?”

“Oh, um packhouse, we’re close to the woods here, probably would be safer with more of us around. “

“Okay do you need to repack or just take these suitcases?”

“Repack, I don’t need all these swimsuits. “

“I need to talk to Luna Meghan.”

“Lily, it’s late she’s probably in bed, just wait till tomorrow, I can go with you if you want?”

“Yes, please just don’t leave my side.”

As I was repacking my bags I couldn’t stop thinking about the rogue king wanting me before I was even born.

I mean there was nothing even special about me, I didn’t even get my wolf till later.

I wonder if thats why my wolf was so mute. So she could avoid telling me what was going on.

If I were so special she would tell me right?

I asked her but all she said was “I can’t say yet, just trust me and trust your mom.”

Again not very helpful. None of this made any sense and I hated it, I hated that she kept so much from me and continuing to do so.

I slammed my luggage shut and handed it to Myles.

We walked to the pack house in silence.
