Louise POV

I haven’t really talked to Ben much since I got back that night from Lenny’s, and he hasn’t really made an effort.

When the instructor told us we had a half day to do meetings, I decided to bolt, not really wanting to deal with his s**t.

I asked a few of the alpha females here if they wanted to go shopping. I needed a dress for Ben’s welcome home party and didn’t think I would get another opportunity to get one before we headed to his pack.

I ended up finding the perfect red dress and showed a lot of skin, but I felt like I needed something to get Ben’s attention. I was getting desperate.

We found everything we needed pretty quickly and decided to head to get milkshakes before we headed back to school.

We were standing outside of Vinces when a door slammed into my back, I ended up dropping my milkshake all over my shoes.

I got pissed instantly.

The girls ended up giggling, making the situation that much worse.

When I turned around, it just had to be Conner and some chick.

I couldn’t help but get jealous, her long, thick brown hair, violet eyes, tanned skin, and very plump lips. She was gorgeous. I wondered what he was doing here with her.

She apologized, and I reacted nastier than I wanted to.

When Conner said my name, her eyes went wide, looking at him with pity. He clearly didn’t keep what happened with us a secret.

I got nervous that if the girls found out, they would tell Ben in a heartbeat just to get a chance to make me look even worse.

I was starting to impulsively sweat.

A red head came out asking what the hold up was. The brunette said my name and anger crossed her face. Could this man not keep his mouth shut, like seriously.

When she insulted me calling me a “cold hearted, gold digging b***h” I was stunned.

The girls behind me lost it, I was mortified.

I’ve been insulted and laughed at. Today seriously couldn’t get any worse.

I took a deep breath.

I tried come back at them by letting them know I would tell there alpha. Omegas couldn’t insult any ranked member without consequence and I was done, I don’t care if they were just trying to protect there friend, even if that meant it would have to come out that I rejected my fated mate.

When the red head said her name was Amber, the gammas daughter and her brother was Myles, I felt my throat go dry.

But everything else was a blur after she said the brunettes name was Lily, my heart sunk.

Lily from black moon pack, had to be Ben’s Lily.

I heard Landyn talk about gammas sister and Lily being best friends.

My head was slowly connecting the dots and they clearly never heard of me which means Ben hasn’t told anyone in his pack about me.

I knew they said she was an omega, but how does an omega look like that, she’s stunning in an intimidating kind of way.

The red head said she was dating her brother, the future gamma.

I wonder if that’s why Ben and her aren’t together anymore because of the gamma.

Something was off, I just couldn’t figure out what I was missing and I wanted the answers.

Did Ben know Lily was in the same town as us, I mean I met Conner at Lennys. There’s a good chance Lily was there too if there all friends.

I turned around to leave when Conner accepted my rejection, I was really hoping he wasn’t going to do that here in public , but he did and I knew I deserved it.

Worst of all I was going to have to tell Ben before these bitches did.

Ben’s POV

I heard a knock on my door, I was going to ignore it intill i heard Louise.

“Ben we need to talk, I met Lily.”

What the hell, how on earth did she meet her? How does she even know about LIly.

I opened the door abruptly.

“What about Lily?”

“I don’t know, you tell me?”

Lily wouldn’t of told her what happened between us, would she?

“Louise, I can explain… I’m just not sure how much you want to hear.”

“Okay, how about we start of who is she to you and why is she dating your gamma?”

I cringed of the thought of them dating.

I shifted slightly, just enough that Louise could tell I was getting uncomfortable. But she didn’t take her eyes off Me.

“She’s my ex girlfriend of well,.. years.”

I was trying to avoid telling her how long i was with Lily.

“Okay, and now she’s hooking up with your gamma because you dumped her.. is she just after the title?”

“No, no she’s not like that.”

I wanted to knock her out for saying that about Lily, but ive never hit a women, least not yet.

“We were all friends, her, me, landyn, myles, Brooke and Amber.”

“How does she fit into this, those all are all the ranked members right?”

“Her mom is my mom’s personal assistant and we all got put together as kids and we grew close and then at some point it was more than friends.”

“I love her.”

Louise sat down.

“You love her??… or you loved her?”

“Does it really matter? “

“Your going to be the Luna either way.”

“Yes, it matters. I have the right to know.”

She genuinely looked hurt and distraught . f**k my dad Is going to kill me.

“Louise, I’m only going to talk about this once and then I never want it brought up again, are we clear?

She nodded

“Lily and I were together till about two months after I got here.”

“So when we got together?”

“Yeah, something like that.”

“So you broke up with Lily for me?”

“Well kind of.”

“What do you mean kind of.”

I grabbed at the back of my neck. This wasn’t going to go over good with Louise or my dad.

“My dad insisted I break up with Lily and take you as my mate for the sake of the pack.. but I didn’t exactly break up with Lily I just sort of stopped talking to her.”

Her mouth actually fell open.

“Why?”

“My dad didn’t want an omega for a Luna.”

“No, why did you just stop talking to her why not call her and end it?”

“I didn’t think I would be able to actually break up with her if I heard her voice and i tried to text her a few times. I just could never send it.”

“Would you still be with her if it wasn’t for your dad?”

I nodded. I saw the tears that started to form in her eyes. I went to put my arm around her and she pulled away.

“How did she end up with your gamma.”

“I’m honestly not sure, a friend just told me they hung out all the time even after I left, but didn’t start dating till a couple months ago.”

“She’s gorgeous for an omega, if I hadn’t heard of her title I would of honestly thought she was a ranked member.”

“Did you know she was in town.”

“Yeah Myles family has a beach house out here, I just never expected her to leave the pack.”

She nodded. I think she was trying to process everything.

“Ben where does this leave us?”

“Same as before.”

“I know she’s not nineteen yet.. and if she’s your fated mate?”

“Still the same Louise.”

“Okay, good because I rejected my fated mate… and well, he’s a member of your pack and friends with Myles, Amber and Lily.”

I shot up. f**k, seriously just my luck.

“Who?”

“Conner moore.”

“His dad and there whole family are our top warriors, s**t this isn’t good Louise.”

She started to bawl.

“There very respected, Myles may have a hard time accepting you as Luna if he finds out.”

“He knows, same with Amber and Lily.”

“That’s how I met Lily, she was there when Conner accepted my rejection.”

“Her and Amber weren’t exactly nice.”

I looked at her confused

“Lily’s is the nicest person I know, she would stay out of it. she doesn’t like confrontation. “

“Well she backed the red head up when she called me a gold digging b***h. She even made a few jabs in there about Conner being lucky to be rejected by me.”

I laughed. “I’m sorry that is just so Amber, she’s got spunk always has, just watch out for her she will always have Lilys back and she doesnt take any shit.”

“That’s just great, I’m going to fit in just nicely. “

“Your going to have to try, Amber has thrown punches and she’s the gammas daughter of ten generations she won’t take your shit.”

“How did this become my fault and my s**t?”

“Just be nice.”

“No, you mean be nice to Lily?”

“Lily is just weak, she’s an omega.”

“She lacks confidence and usually just does what she’s told, she’s never caused any problems so yes, I want you to be nice to Lily.”

“The girl i saw and the girl you just described sound like two different girls, sounds like maybe you didn’t know her at all.”

“Kind of how you dont know me at all, you’ve never even tried.”

“Did you see Lily at Lennys?”

“Yeah I did, but she didn’t see me, that’s why I took off.”

“I wondered, that’s where I met Conner at and when I ran into them at the ice cream shop, I kinda figured they were probably together at Lennys.”

“Where did you see her at Lennys?”

I sighed. But i knew I had to answer.

“She was dancing with Myles.”

“So you left out of jealousy?”

“No, don’t answer that… I already know the answer.”

Before I could say another word she walked out and slammed the door.

Well that went over well. It might be time I call Myles. Something I’ve been really avoiding to do.

Maybe he will have my back when he hears Louise is the future Luna, it’s his job to protect the Luna and help train the warriors.

I know hes stuck in the middle, but it’s a least he can do after taking Lily from me.

Landyn POV

I heard the whole conversation with Ben and Louise. Things are really starting to take a s**t.

I feel like Ben is putting the future of our pack in jeopardy.

I kept my mouth shut when I found out he was cheating on Lily with my own sister, I kept quiet when he was a coward and couldnt dump Lily the proper way, and I fricken kept my mouth shut as I sat back and watched him use Louise and to top if off I’ve kept quiet about him sleeping with nearly every alpha female here.

If things couldn’t get any worse Louise had to be fated mates with one of our top warriors kid. Conners dad is going to flip when he finds out.

I’m honestly concerned they could end up leaving the pack if Ben takes Louise has his Luna.

I’m sure most warriors would follow him and we can’t afford that, we would be at risk for rogue attacks and pack invasion for being weak.

Conners dad is big on fated mates, but it took him till he was twenty-six before he found her, most wolves don’t wait that long.

So when he finds out Louise rejected Conner for Ben, all hell is going to break loose.

Hes so suppose to be the alpha, the structure of the pack, not causing so many damn problems.

I’m not going to lose my title because he can’t get it together or keep it in his damn pants.
