Chapter 31

Lily’s POV

Myles finally let me head to his moms room. I could tell he was struggling and fighting with his wolf about letting me go.

I’m guessing a lot of it has to do with the fact that I’m carrying his pups, and we haven’t marked each other. His wolf is worried about someone else claiming me. But seriously, why would they? I’m pregnant by another wolf. I think that automatically makes me off limits.

He walked me to his mom’s room, which was literally two doors down. She opened the door instantly and looked back and forth at both of us.

She started to jump up and down. “You told him already? I thought you were going to wait till later?”

“I got sick again, and he didn’t really leave me much choice.”

She looked at me really guilty. “Well, good cause I kinda already told Myles dad.”

“That’s okay, I know it was probably hard to keep it from your mate.”

Gamma Kevin entered the room from the small office he had in his room and picked me up, and spinned me a few times, placing a k**s on my check.

I wasn’t feeling nauseous when I got here, but i slightly am now. Myles saw my face pale and took me to a chair.

Gammas Kevin face reddened. “Sorry, kiddo, I just got so excited. I am so excited! Congratulations to both of you.” He kissed me on my forehead.

Amber barged in. Looking between everyone. “What’s going on here? Lily, why do you look like you’re about to puke your guts out all over my moms rug? And mom, why do you look completely thrilled about that?” She paused for a moment, thinking over her own thoughts.

“Oh my f*****g goddess, your pregnant!!!” It was even a question more of a statement, telling me I was.

I nodded. Her and Sylivia both started jumping up and down like kids in a candy store. I couldn’t help but smile about how excited they are.

Once Sylvia and Amber calmed down she kicked the guys out the door.

Myles pouted. “But mom, my pups, my girl.” I swear I thought he might cry.

Sylvia looked him alittle annoyed. “Myles were across the hall basically, they will be fine I’m here with them and so is Amber. Besides no one knows yet and we’re going to keep it that way till you guys mark eachother. Got it? “

She looked at the both of us and we both nodded. “Its for the safety for all four of you.”

I blew Myles a k**s and he left with his dad, his dad put his arm around him and patted his shoulder. “She will be okay son, your moms got her.”

Sylvia had a stylist come up to do our hair. Amber settled with an updo to show off her neck and back.

I had bought a gold head pin that had leaf pattern on it, when me and Amber went shopping.

I decided to leave most of it down. My hair is really thick so it gave me plenty of volume. We curled it and pinned half my hair to the side.

While I was getting my hair done, Sylvia was going through her mail. Her entire face scrunched up opening an envelope. She read for a few mintues and then looked torwards me.

“Lily this was address to me, but it’s for you dear. It’s from your mom.”

I gasped and shook my head. Luckily she just finished with my hair and I got up. Sylvia handed me the letter. I started to pace and frantically read. I saw her wave off the stylist, trying to give me some privacy.

Dear Lily Bug

I’m so sorry I haven’t been able to reach out sooner. I’m sure you have been worried sick. I just had to make sure it was safe to do so. Me and Remi are safe and headed to the palace.

Hunny I found your dad but me and Remi were set up. The rogues had a trap. Me and Remi barely got away. He was hurt pretty bad. Only three people knew of what we had planned. Me, Remi and Luna Meghan.

I’m not exactly sure what Luna Meghan has planned but she tried to have us killed and I’m guessing she thinks we are.

I can’t return home just yet. Least without a plan. Im bringing your grandparents up to speed with everything. Hopefully they will be able to help.

You need to behave like you have no idea that Luna is involved or that I’m alive. You’ll have to control your anger, control your wolf. I just wanted you to know that I’m safe and for you to stay put till I come for you and I will come for you. Just have to give me some time.

I’m sorry I told you to trust Luna and now I’m taking all that back. I’m still so confused myself. But as long as you act clueless you should stay safe. Least for now. No one want to kill you, they just want you for the power.

I love you so much sweetie and stay safe . I know it’s not much. Mostly just wanted to tell you I’m okay so you don’t go looking for me. I’ll see you soon.

I sat down slowly on the bed. So this basically comfirmed what we were already thinking that Luna was behind everything. Even tried to kill my mom. Hell she even tried to kill her own brother to cover it all up.

I looked at Sylvia. “Why would she send this to you?”

“I’m guessing to make sure you got it.”

“How did she know to trust you?”

She sat down next to me. “I’m not sure. I’m guessing she knows you trust Myles so she does and she knows as a mother you’ll always protect your child. She knew I would help protect you guys.

I smiled slightly. “I wish I didn’t need so much protecting. “

“Well dear you’ll need even more now.” She placed her hand on my stomach. “Everything will be okay, least now you know your mom is alive and safe and she’s going to figure this all out.”

I took a few breaths trying to keep my wolf at bay. I knew going after the luna wouldn’t be good for me or anyone I care about. They would protect me and I couldn’t risk there lives.

Amber looked at me with sympathy. “Let’s finish getting ready. I know it’s hard to enjoy tonight with everything else going on. But you need to do what your mom says and act like everything is fine. You can do this.”

I nodded and went and sat back in the chair and waiting for the stylist to come back.

She asked what I wanted done with my make up and I shrugged my shoulders not knowing what to say. I looked at Amber for some help. I didn’t know to much about make up.

She looked at me with a raised eyebrow. “You’ll let the stylist do whatever I say and trust me?”

I nodded. She gave an evil grin. She whispered to the stylist trying to make sure I wouldn’t over hear what she was saying. I’m guessing if she knew I heard it I might change my mind.

The stylist smiled agreeing with everything Amber said and after about twenty mintues they finished.

I got up to look in the mirror and barely recognized myself. I looked stunning. Not the same shy sixteen year old I once was.

We all took turns getting our dresses on. I came out slowly not sure what time type of reactions I would get. I turned towards the mirror and smiled.

Sylvia came and stood next to me. This will get your vengeance and she winked at me.

“Girls I have to head down, your dad is getting impatient with me. He told me to tell you the boys already down. Ben arrived alittle early.”

My breathing hitched Amber noticed and took my hands into hers. “You can do this.”

“Its not Ben that’s bugging me anymore, it’s Luna. I’m worried about having to go down there and having to act like everything is okay and knowing shes doing all this so i would end up with Ben, just makes me sick.”

“you have to, for your mom, Myles, your babies and even me. We need everyone safe. Just trust your mom.”

I nodded. “Okay let’s do the damn thing then.”

Amber grinned. “Let’s”

Bens POV

We headed out pretty early to head home. Alot earlier then expected but Louise wanted enough time to stop at a hotel to get ready.

My dad was insisting that I dont bring her now. I just couldn’t understand how he all of sudden he changed his mind. After all this time pushing her on me he decides its okay for me not to take her as a luna.

I’m guessing my mom had something to do with it. I knew she was against me and Louise from the very beginning.

Me and Louise finally got in an okay place and I wasn’t about to wreck that again. I tried to take Landyns advice and let things go. Especially knowing there was a chance of having Lily as a side piece.

We pulled into a cheap motel I booked right outside from the pack and Louise was livid that I would expect her to get ready in these conditions.

I rolled my eyes. I honestly didn’t think it was a big deal. We would only be here for a couple hours.

I sat on the bed waiting for her to come out of the bathroom. I kept hearing sighs and grunts. The bathroom was really small. It barely fit one person.

She finally opened the door and i was relieved we could finally head back out.

She cleared her throat. “Well what do you think?”

I realized i hadnt actually looked at her. I couldn’t help the irritation that went across my face but I quickly tried to cover it up.

“You look great.”

My wolf snorted and rolled his eyes.

She looked like she was getting ready to star in some sort of s*x film.

The dress was red that had two slits up the legs on both sides, it was low cut all the way to her belly button, exposing most of her breasts. Leaving nothing to the imagination. The fabric swooped down her back resting just above her a*s.The straps least were on the thicker side, clearly the only thing holding the dress up.

My mother is already going to chew my a*s out for bringing her to this party and now I have to deal with her dressing like that. Forget being alpha, my parents are going to murder me.

We pulled up to the gates and my nerves were really starting to get to me and my wolf wouldn’t stop pacing. It was starting to give me a headache.

I saw my mom and dad were waiting outside for me along with a few others. The car came to a stop and I let myself out reaching out a hand to Louise to help her out of the car.

I tried to shield her some. Praying that her dress wouldnt ride up to much so everyone couldnt see her f*****g v****a. That’s how high the slits were.

Louise smiled at everyone, trying to be friendly. My dad grabbed the binge of his nose and linked me that he couldn’t stop my mom from whatever she’s about to do.

I gulped. My mother can be scary when she wants to be. She didn’t even try to link me just blurted it.

“For f**k sakes Benjamin. Seriously, like seriously what f**k are you thinking.”

She looked at my dad. “He’s your child, f*****g morons.”

She stormed off inside not even giving her only child that she hasn’t seen in two years a hug. I was livid.

Louise’s face was beyond pale. “What was that about? Didn’t they know I was coming?”

I lied. “Yeah my mom is just having a hard time. She’s big on the whole fated mates thing.”

“Great, she probably will always hate me then.”

“Let’s just head inside.” My dad nodded at us, but didn’t say anything. I could tell he was upset but there was something else going on with him, like he was puzzled with something.

We headed down the stairs and once again my mom outdid herself. Our ballroom was decorated in gold, silver and black. Circle tables wrapped around the dance floor and the tables were set up to perfection with crystal glassss and bottles of champagne at each one.

Louise was in awe. “Wow at my pack we always did buffet style. “

“Yeah mom likes the servers to bring us each course.”

I had countless people coming up to me and welcoming me home. I felt a pair of eyes staring at me and when I look over it’s Brooke with her arms crossed in front her, looking really pissed.

I sighed. I really didn’t want to deal with this s**t. I kept my eyes wondering trying to see if I could find Lily but she was no where in sight.

I saw Myles talking with Landyn and a couple of the warriors. Landyn looked really happy to be back home. I saw them walking towards me. Well here goes nothing.

Myles pulled out his hand for me to shake. “Alpha, good to see you.”

The tension was thick. I hadnt realized how buff Myles actually got till he was up close to me. He was shockinly huge for a gamma. “Yeah you too.”

Awkward silence took over. Landyn linked me. “So is this how it’s going to be from now, you guys need to work this s**t out.”

Louise cleared her throat. s**t I forgot to introduce her, maybe that’s why it was so awkward.

After introductions Myles seemed to calm down a bit. “Well im glad you found a luna.”

I nodded. I bet you are, you smug a*s.

Everyone got quiet and looked up the set of stairs. Myles face literally started to glow and it was plastered with biggest smile I’ve ever seen any man make.

Landyn elbowed me to get my attention off of Myles. I looked at him annoyed and he pointed up the stairs. My heart stopped.
