Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life -
Chapter 1069
Flora had a bit of a laid-back streak. Hopefully, Aisha wouldn't cross paths with her intentionally. She turned off her phone screen and slipped it into her coat pocket.
Mr. Richard and Kruiz kept a close eye on her, relieved to notice she wasn't bothered by the harsh online chatter. Those comments were brutal, and they worried Flora might not handle them well. "Flora, we brought you some gifts!" a girl cheerfully announced, pulling a gift box from her bag and handing it to Flora.
"I've got something for you too, Flora, though I'm not sure if you'll like it since my taste's pretty typical guy," a boy added, offering his present as well. Soon, others joined in, presenting their gifts.
This kind of attention was something even Mr. Richard hadn't received. Kruiz had spoken so highly of Flora in front of them that they all prepared some gifts, showing their appreciation.
Looking at the pile of gifts on the table, Flora thought for a moment, then pulled out several lavender sachets from her bag and handed them out. It was all about giving back.
The group accepted them with smiles, pleasantly surprised by her gesture. The sachets might have seemed ordinary, but they came from the heart, which made them special.
Kruiz, in particular, treasured his gift, tucking it safely into his pocket. "Hey, this sachet... looks familiar," a boy remarked, sniffing the faint scent of lavender. Suddenly, a light bulb went off in his head, and he looked at Flora with wide eyes. "Flora, is this... a sachet made by Féraphine?" Everyone's attention snapped to Flora. Féraphine was a name known worldwide, his crafted scents highly coveted and extremely rare. The boy recalled his mother, who had trouble sleeping, had spent a fortune to get her hands on a Féraphine sachet. Under the curious and astonished gazes, Flora nodded casually. "Yep, that's the one."
Her nonchalant response left everyone stunned. A genuine Féraphine sachet? That was beyond valuable...
"Flora, you should keep it. This is too precious," Kruiz said, albeit reluctantly, trying to hand the sachet back. The others followed suit, their eyes lingering on the sachets but offering them back to Flora.
Flora raised an eyebrow but didn't take them back. Once a gift was given, it shouldn't be taken back. "Keep them. They're not that big of a deal."
A sachet from Féraphine, worth a fortune each, and she says it's not a big deal? Kruiz was about to protest when Flora pulled out two more and handed them to him.
"Don't work yourself too hard;
nothing's more important than your
health," Flora advised gently. "Put these under your pillow; they'll help you sleep and rejuvenate. You've been overworking yourself too much."
Kruiz, a self-proclaimed science enthusiast, often burnt the midnight oil with his experiments, which was taking a toll on his health. "And you all, keep yours too," Flora added, glancing around at her fellow seniors.
With that, Kruiz quietly pocketed the sachet, his heart swelling with gratitude. Who said Flora was rude and difficult? She was a sweetheart!
The others also tucked their sachets
away, still reeling from the
revelation. Flora's connections ran deep. A sachet from Féraphine, something people would fight footh and mail for, and she could dish them out like candy.
They felt like they'd hit the jackpot by being in her circle.
After dinner, Kruiz and the group headed back to their hotel. Connor arrived to pick up Flora. The weather was biting cold, with sleet stinging their faces.
